Originally from Linwood NJ, right across the bay from AC, Ventor, Margate (where Lucy is) and Longport. And locals went to the beach, NOT to the “shore”. Lol. Lucy is pretty cool, housed many things (hotel, museum plus more). Remember growing up and Lucy was going into disrepair. Had “Save Lucy” fund raisers. Great landmark!
My grandmother used to go to Coney Island as her summer vacation when she was a kid ❤️ She was the oldest of 11, so they went for one day, and they got to pick out a new pair of shoes.
Great video. I am from the northern part of the Jersey Shore, which features the great boardwalks of Asbury Park, Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights. I had the privilege of living 3 blocks from the Ocean/Boardwalk in High School in the great town of Belmar. New Jersey really has some great beach towns. 😎👍🏻
I won 2 pins on a Disney Cruise during a DVC get together. The question started out “Lucy the elephant...”. I immediately shouted out to get the mic and answer “ ...is located in the Boardwalk lobby and in Margate, NJ.” I grew up in southern PA and also traveled down the shore every year for our family vacation.
Went to Lucy all the time as a kid during the summer! Was always so excited pulling up for the first time each year.

My all time favorite resort. I’ve stayed there two years in a row. Love handing on the boardwalk after we leave the parks!
