+Learn Excel Pivot Tables John, I have a question that I thought you might have a solution too. I have about 1000 entries in a pivot table. all of them have their dates entered like this 20150923 for example. Excel does not recognize this as a date, so when i try to format it as one it ill appear as an infinite amount of #########. When i take 20150923 and change it to 2015/09/23 it allows me to format it properly. but obviously I don't have the time to manually change each entry. Do you have any tips to help change all 1000 cells to a date which can be formatted?
+SvendTheViking If your dates start in A1 then you need to put the following formula: =LEFT(A1,4)&"/"&MID(A1,5,2)&"/"&RIGHT(A1,2) Then you need to copy and paste values to get rid of the formula and the dates to activate. I hope this helps you out :) Thanks, John

Slicers cannot be inserted in a ppt, only an image screenshot of this! You need to use Power Query to append the Tables together, then use a Pivot Table to do a comparison. Thanks, John

Excellent presentation. I have 2 questions though; 1. How do I paste an active slicer in power point? 2. How do I compare business quarters of different years which are in different table? Thanks
Slicers cannot be inserted in a ppt, only an image screenshot of this!
You need to use Power Query to append the Tables together, then use a Pivot Table to do a comparison.

Is there a way to configure the default pivot table colors? And I'm talking about the default blue? I know it's only a few clicks but I would prefer my table to default to no colors. Thank you for your demo. It's excellent.
With the new Office 365, you can set up a default Pivot Table layout and colours
