  • Welcome to the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple's (virtual) Obon dance festival for 2021! We hope you enjoy all of the dances and taiko drumming featured in this video. We are sorry we were not able to celebrate like we typically do, due to the pandemic.
    Obon is a special time of year where our ancestors are said to return to this earth to join us in a celebration of dancing and joy. We hope you enjoy this video and celebrate with us!

    I grew up in SLC doing these dances. Excellent editing, syncing all the videos, past and present.

      Yes! You should be able to start from the very beginning. Depending on the device you're using, there might be a little repeat/restart button. If not you can click and drag the seek bar at the bottom to replay.
