Salt Lake Buddhist Temple Hatsubon 2021

This is a live stream of the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple's Hatsubon service for the 2020 and 2021 Hatsubon years. The Jodo Shinshu tradition of Hatsubon celebrates the first Obon after a loved one's passing. Obon; the celebration of joy, is an auspicious occasion where loved ones' spirits are said to return to earth to dance and celebrate with us. We invite you to take this time to reflect on all of the lives lost during the last two years. We gather here today, to celebrate their lives and to remember them.
