    I on the other hand loved the music ,it makes you notice everything in a different way. So calming. Thank you. :)

      Thank you Emm. I realise I'm not going to please everyone with my choice of music, but as in all films the music is there to reflect the mood, or emotion. I'm pleased you enjoyed watching my take on my favourite mooring.

      I agree. For me this is a piece of art, rather than just a TH-cam video. The music is a perfectly chosen piece for this quite intimate reflection of the beauty of nature. I come back to this when I'm not feeling at peace and need reminding that we live in a miraculous natural world, as captured so beautifully by Andrew.

    Just discovered your vlogs a few weeks ago and really enjoying. Stunning photography and the music was a perfect choice. We are currently stuck at home and our narrowboat is stuck in our marina and we are really missing it. Hopefully we will be back on it soon. Your video was the next best thing so thank you for sharing. Stay safe.

    My favourite mooring, and this shows why. Few boats, though, which is rare.

      My favourite mooring too. I've been through 3 times now and approaching it feels like coming home

    A year late with the comment I know Andrew, but on seeing this I felt I had to comment on what is a truly stunning work of art. Beautifully filmed and so professionally edited with just the right balance of accompanying background music. All your vlogs are so very well thought out and put together but this one went the extra mile. Well worth more than the one thumbs up and who for heavens sake could bring themselves to give a thumbs down?? Unbelievable!

      Thank you Glyn, I watched it myself after your comment and I'm pleased it has a soothing effect. Not everyone's cup of tea clearly, but I'm happy it relaxes some.

      Cheers John. I was a bit cheesed-off with the bow-cam being on the tilt, but unless I climb into the canal with a spirit-level there's no way of telling - but I'm working on it...

      Thanks Stuart. How's that boat of yours coming on? I hear from a friend in Luddenden Foot that it is indeed a bit frozen there. Not too bad in the mildish midlands

      Tales From The Swan's Neck the steelwork is almost complete. The fitting out is my field really so looking forward to that. Its all happening undercover so the weather even at 1000 feet above sea level shouldnt slow the job down too much. Hope you are enjoying the stove as the nights cut in Regards Stuart

    • @talesfromtheswansneck
      @talesfromtheswansneck  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tribsat100 too right. what a blessing to have the fire going. I have gas central heating but reluctant to use it too much as it is ridiculously expensive. But then price varies dramatically from £24 per bottle to £36! Ah the fitting out is the creative part. Enjoy...

  • @tims7793

    Wow....you have some skills with that camera! I was blown away by this. My preference would be for it to have stopped at 8:08, before humans arrived on the scene, but that just my preference because you matched the wonder of nature with the music so well.

    • @talesfromtheswansneck
      @talesfromtheswansneck  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Tim. I'm guessing there may be more like this in coming weeks as not a lot of cruising can be done at the moment. But that's ok, challenging yourself to make something out of nothing is always worthwhile

    Tixall wide..so called because the land owner would only let them cross his land as long as they built it to look like a lake from his house ...as he always wanted a lake....so they did.....

    • @talesfromtheswansneck
      @talesfromtheswansneck  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is one of the theories. The other which I think is more plausible is that Capability Brown (yes he from Capheaton, and as a Reiver you should know where I mean) designed the landscape with a lake, which he often did, and James Brindley utilised the existing lake for the canal.

    Lovely ... but far far more evocative with the sound off; we needed the sound of the water and air . of the birds singing. Try it with out that music, please. Just watch …
