The communist party wiped traditional Chinese culture decades ago. It was part of one of their insane programs called "The Four Olds" during which they tried hauling ancient Emperors from their tombs. So you can see the great wall but the Chinese people are cut off from their ancient root. Agree with all on the list except for Hong Kong (it’s more of a transit hub unless you are into nightlife & shopping). I recommend Hainan and Zhangjajie and Chengdu - beautiful scenery, landscape & culture....
We've been to Yangshuo last weekend. It rained on Sat night until yesterday (June10,2019) so we only visited the Guanyan Cave and Li river/Yulong river via Gongnong bridge. There were many spots that we have passed to visit like the Butterfly Spring Cave, Big Banyan Tree, etc, because of the bad weather. It's not advisable to visit during rainy season as some roads may be flooded when the river swells. Transpo will be hard to arrange. Besides, the color of the river will be brown as milk tea... The mountains arouns the river are best viewed and photographed when the sun is hitting it. It will be hard to make good exposure to get the vividness that you desire when the weather is cloudy. The plants covering the mountains are in deep green color compared to the color of the plants/trees on the valley. But if you insist on going there on rainy season, be prepared to be stranded there for 1 or more days due to unexpected cancelled bus bookings.
From this list I have been to Shanghai, Beijing, Great Wall and Jiuzhaigou (go to Huanglong too). I would also suggest Huangshan, Zhangjiajie and Lijiang. They are beautiful places and I really enjoyed visiting them.

I come from China and now is having exchange in Sydney.
Every time when I ask those guys about their impression about China, they only know Beijing Shanghai Hong Kong, Fung Shui and Tiananmen.
Really hope more people could travel to China and know more about my country. My country has one of the best food and scenery around the world.
Sumyuen Chan I wish I could visit your country some day. What places do you recommend? Love from Germany.
@@pilot4807 I really recommend Hangzhou and Suzhou, which are very close to Shanghai, both of them are perfect combination of Chinese traditional beauty and modern infrastructure
@@pilot4807 th-cam.com/video/C0KGqhZAsYw/w-d-xo.html this is the best video I have ever watched about the scenery of Hangzhou, and I really recommend you to watch that
Sumyuen Chan I just watched the video. Beautiful scenery and buildings! Thank you for sharing.
@@pilot4807 you are welcome, really hope you could travel to China someday
I WAS JUST WONDERING ABOUT CHAINA THIN I SUDDENLY I FOUND THIS ....SO GRATE
Love china ❤️
Good video...The places are so beautiful
if you ask a Chinese, the ranking wouldn't like this. At least, ShangHai won't be in the list. If you ask a Chinese about Hongkong, 80% would say it is city for shopping. Nanjing, Chengdu, Yunnan province can be suggested to travel as well.
But Shanghai may be easier to be accepted by western tourists
像你这种就是自以为是的人,上海现代化大城市,你的观点只能代表你自己而已,有些人喜欢纯风景,而有些人就是喜欢热闹大都市,还是有些人喜欢现代化大城市
@@ahnonime9763 Shanghai can be a great starting point for a trip. I drove China from north to south. And this does not necessarily require knowledge of the Chinese language. Now I want to travel from east to west :)
Li Yang where do you suggest to go 20 days?
@@claudiakurjan6771 If you like Chinese History BeiJing, NanJing,Xi'An,ChengDu. These cities are well known for Chinese history. Xi'an is an capital city of China for 16 dynasties. NanJing is for 6 dynasties. If you like to experience Chinese culture, food and nature, you know Chinese culture and food are diversified. Xi'An, ChengDu, GuiLin, DaLi,HangZhou. If your flight is to ChengDu(hometown of Panda), you can also visit natural areas close by like JiuZhaiGou(九寨沟),HuangLongXi(黄龙溪) and famous mountain EMei mountain (峨眉山)by train or a short flight. If your flight is to Kunming, you can visit DaLi(大理),LiJiang(丽江),LuGu lake(泸沽湖),Shangri-La(香格里拉). These cities or areas are close by. If your flight is to GuiLin(桂林), you can visit YangSuo(阳朔) by a bus. If your flight is to ShangHai, you can visit HangZhou (Silk origin)(杭州),SuZhou(苏州),Nanjing(南京), It takes 2 hours by train to each cities from ShangHai, I think. You can also take a bus to WuZhen from HangZhou. You can experience other Chinese culture and landscapes in XinJing(新疆), Inner Monglolia(内蒙古) and Tibet(西藏), but it is good to go with a trust local guide. Not suggest in 20 days trip. Tips: popular Chinese App: ctrip (travel, hotel and attractions). Looking for restaurant 大众点评,Taxi :DiDi(like Uber) Travel in Xi'An:th-cam.com/video/QW1xpB3POek/w-d-xo.html
hope these information can help you a little for your travelling.
Beautiful views. Thanks for sharing!

Ya allah, i wish that one day i will visit the best places of china🥰🥰🥰
Masha allah
I totally agree with the top 10, but there are many other beautiful and fun places. Chengdu for sure is a popular place to visit because of beautiful scenery, giant pandas, and their relaxing life style. I also always wanted to visit Lijiang. This is another super popular place for foreign visitors. Zhangjiajie is must-see too. Sanya and Qingdao are for by-the-beach vacations. OH, I WANT TO TRAVEL! LOL.
u are almost an expert now👍😂
tsingdao during the beer festival haha!

China is so big and vast. It would take a lifetime to savour it all!
@@tomb7655 I love china, have been there 2 times and am going again next year. I wouldn't call it safe but itsure is stunning!
Absolutely. There's Macau and land of Ocean parks, Zhuhai
China has some of the most breathtaking natural beauty on the planet thanks to its large and diversified geography. China's unique natural beauty is as amazing as its magnificent culture, from the picturesque karst landscape in Guilin and Yangshuo to the precipitous pillars in Zhangjiajie, from the Rainbow Mountains in Zhangye to the holy high country of Tibet.
Hoping one day I could move to Shanghai❤️
Heartly love you from Nepal
