UK river trout fishing can be hit and miss in the spring but with IB & Andy fishing a couple of different methods they're in with a chance! Entertained as always. You have different politics of access to waterways compared to here in Australia and you fish famous rivers.
I / we have a stream 10 kms from here in Lorne ( Victoria ) called Wye River a small town which has a population of small brown trout.
Anyway I loved the attention to detail...Ivy's nails ( can't wear too much camo ) haha. But seriously the clarity of the close ups of your fish was perfect. Loved it ! Hope you Google Wye R. it's a beautiful area.

there were three different brands here - Dohiku, TMC and Fulling Mill - we just sucked! 😂
@@IBandAndyFishing I use barbless a fair amount and like the curved in point.Find the straight point good for LDR..😈.Crushed barbs not so good either.On reservoirs fish go for broke without any encouragement but the curved in points seem to hang in there pretty well.Hanak 👍

Beautiful River, never had the privilege to fish the Dove, your very lucky to have it on your door step, I usually fish the Welsh Dee, at Bala Llanderfel, and the Llangollen beats, different style all together, really enjoy your vids' keep it up.
The best day I've ever had on the Llanderfel beat was 27 Grayling in one session on the klinkhamer Dry,
what a fantastic river the Dee is, somewhere that we'll definitely try to film on in the future. I've spent some time on the Llangollen beats and a couple of the CADAC beats, epic water. I've never managed 27 in a day though, what a session that must have been?!

Glad you show the missed takes and the fish falling off. The strike hook land sort of videos aren't really helpful. Yours show the sort of day that most of us have at some time or other.
We miss and lose more than most bud, it happens and it's still fun!

Not just me then! Standard early season dry fly, missed takes and dropped fish. Is it the fish taking short or me out of practice on the dry fly strike? I blame the fish!

Hi Bud, so we're based in the Peak District. Some of the clubs we're in ask us not to be too specific. I'f you're looking for day ticket water then try the Cressbrook & Litton Stretch on the Wye, or Temple Beat of the Dove through Fishing Breaks
