HIGHLY recommend the Riyria Chronicles and Riyria Revelations! I credit those books for getting me back into reading after years without reading a single book. So good!
I think you'll love Jemisin's Inheritance series much more than the Dreamblood one. 100k Kingdoms is so your brand. One of the main characters is the god of darkness and chaos, the mythology is rich, the main character is a smart warrior woman and there's also a goddess of life and death. I think it's mostly guys that say that Hundred Thousand Kingdoms is her worst book because they don't like the heavy character focus and the big romance/relationship aspect.
Wow, it's so cool to see we share similar tastes in the world of SFF. Bennett's first trilogy is awesome and I also want to start getting into the cosmere world (only read the last empire ages ago and have WOK and WOR on my shelf). Heard awesome things regarding Gwyne's quartet!

I’ve read the Broken Earth Trilogy and 2 books from the Inheritance trilogy. I just need to start the Dreamblood Duology! I love her writing so much!
Yes the Queen of Blood and the Twelve Kings of Sharaki (Shattered Sands) series are wonderful books that don't get enough attention in my opinion. And I look forward to you review them. The writing style for both took me a little while to get into as it felt a little distant from a character pov, but soon I got really involved in the stor(ies). I look forward to seeing your reviews for them.

The Bone Witch is amazing!! It’s slow but I love world building and magic. I’m currently rereading the first and second book before I get to the 3rd book. Also I think the romance in it is up right up your alley. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it
I personally enjoyed Mistborn era 2 more than the first one. I think it had a nice balance of light-hearted and serious. The Lightbringer series is really good, too! And each book just gets better and better, imo. Right now, I'm in the middle of The Curse of the Mistwraith by Janny Wurts, the first in The Wars of Light and Shadow series, which is one I'd been wanting to read for a while now. Definitely going to continue on in the series.
Omg Curse of the Mistwraith! I love this series so much. Arithon S'ffalenn is my baby and must be protected at all costs. It's such a dense series but also so umm emotional? That's not quite the word I'm after, but your heart goes through the ringer.

The Liveship Traders trilogy is great! I've read the first two and I want to read the next one soon. I really want to finish it so I can get onto the Rain Wild series, but I want to read all her books someday too. I've read The Way of Kings but I want to read Words of Radiance soon as well.
If you are into necromancy you should try the Bone Doll's Twin trilogy by Lynn Flewelling. A necromancer use her magic to make the main character look like her dead brother to protect her from her evil uncle who stole her mother's throne. Really good. Anyways, thanks for the ideas. More books added to my library account.
Pretty much half of your list is books I want to read. Gosh, just so many and so difficult to get it it all. Problems with epicness is I don't want to plow through one after another or at the same time. I love to savor it!
No pressure to read it but ANCILLARY JUSTICE IS GOLD Also all of Hobb! and liveship is, in my opinion, her best series ever. Even though I love Fitz to death, liveship is simply a masterpiece (but also royal Assassin is my favorite of the fitz books so do not be afraid! 👌🏼😁)
Divine Cities trilogy!!!! That series completely surprised me and became a favourite of mine. Mistborn Era 2 is a quartet and not a trilogy. 4th book should be out next year, hopefully. I just finished The Bands of Mourning this morning which has me caught up on the Cosmere universe so far. I'm actually excited for the possibility of Era 3 of Mistborn which is meant to be sci-fi futuristic Mistborn world... In like 10 years with the Warbreaker sequel
I've read the first two Divine Cities books and they're fantastic - especially the first one! Shara and Sigrud and Mulaghesh are such good characters and the world is so interesting. Ancillary Justice is also really great, and Riyera Revelations pulled me out of a major reading slump a few years ago, although I devoured all three books so quickly I barely remember the plot!
Since Derek brought out 2 new books I've been meaning to re-read my childhood favorite, skulduggery pleasant, maybe this will inspire me to get started on the 11 book binge

The Stormlight Archive books are super good! For me the first and third one were a bit slower with more worldbuilding, but the second one (Words of Radience) was super fast paced and it’s my favorite from the series! I binge read the Faithful and the Fallen quartet last summer and instantly became obsessed with it! For me it felt like a classic, old school fantasy, with tropes that you know but they could still surprise you. You get attached to the characters and you root for them! Now i am reading the second book in the sequel trilogy and it is equally good and interesting!

So funny-ish story about The Faithful and the Fallen quartet. A year ago, I was at the bookstore because there was a 30% off sale on everything. Browsing the fantasy portal, I spotted A Time of Dread by John Gwynne. The cover simply pulled me in, and the premise sounded so good, so I ended up buying it. Several months later I wanted to start it, then I found out that it's set AFTER The Faithful and the Fallen series and that it's better to read those original books first. Since then (almost eight months ago now), I've been wanting to read those first four books so I can eventually get to the one I really want to read. But hey, I've been procrastinating everything in my life, so why should reading be any different, right? Anyway, I would love to see a video about the series you want to finish ^-^
Skyward by Brandon Sanderson is still my favorite book of the year. I read another one of his older series and either his premise is better or his writing has improved drastically. I do need to read his mistborn series!
I began my journey with N K Jemisin with the Dreamblood duology and I think it was really interesting. I was also pleasantly surprised with Inheritance because I don't typically gravitate towards more heavily romance stories but it was very well done. And then The Broken Earth Trilogy just murdered me. I hope you enjoy her other works when you get there because I have fond memories of them. Also: Ann Leckie is queen and that series IS SO WHOLESOME

I didn't think The Bone Witch was slow it took its time for character development and world building for sure but I didn't think it made it slow it if anything made me more and more intrigued about the story and where it is going. I read it fairly quickly and at no point did I feel like putting it down because I was bored. I can't speak on the sequels, however, as while I own the second one I have a huge TBR and not much free time which is not a great combo.

I picked up The Queen of Blood on a whim and I was surprised by how brutal it was. The first book was a really unexpected story overall and I enjoyed it. While I read the second book and appreciated the unique characters (one of the main protags is middle aged woman with kids! Who knew those existed in fantasy!) it wasn’t as strong as the first installment. Ended up not finishing the series. Still highly recommend the first book! Now time to check out all the other series you mentioned because they sound Good.
I’m reading Assassin’s Apprentice right now and really liking Robin Hobb. Also, I read The Black Prism and haven’t read the other books in the series. I hope I can remember enough of what happened so I can carry on with the series. Also, why haven’t I read Mary E Pearson??
I'm pretty sure I liked Era Two of the Mistborn Trilogy more than Era One (which I feel is an unpopular opinion). Like you, I've got to get started on the Stormlight Archive, but...the 1000 page books scares the stuffing out of me.
I really need to start reading Brandon Sanderson & Brent weeks. I own the first Mistborn trilogy and The Black Prism so I should just stop procrastinating and start reading haha. I also really want to read Dance of Thieves but I've only read The Kiss of Deception so far so I'm going to finish up that series before I start the 'next' one :).
I do want to give The Stormlight Archive a shot and also every series Raymond E. Feist has written that I haven't read yet as well as the Farseer trilogy. I also still haven't read The Lord of the Rings and have a couple of 1st books in German series on my shelves I really want to get to. One of them is about a magical library :) I count 3% into a book not really as started, so I'm going to mention The Mists of Avalon here (the first book in the Avalon series). You like grimdark and gaming, I think you'd like The Ravenmark trilogy by Ed MacDonald. The books feel a bit like progressing through video games and as an added bonus: the finale releases next month.
I really enjoyed Dance of Thieves after loving The Remnant Chronicles by Mary Pearson. (I had to go google the trilogy series name, forgot too haha). I hope you do too! I am looking forward to book #2.

I loved 100K Kingdoms (I've only read the first book of the series so far) more than the Dreamblood duology. And in Robin Hobb's books, The Fool is my everything! My fave character in anything ever.
Yes please pick up The Faithful and The Fallen. It's one of my favourites! Would love to know your thoughts on it. The Bone Witch is great but I haven't continued the series yet (shame on me).

Dance of Thieves is a book that's on my to read list as well. I know I'm going to love it because I really liked the Remnants Chronicles, but I keep avoiding Dance of Thieves. Maybe I'm just not prepared for its' awesomeness? Who knows

Queen of blood is very good. I have only the last book to read. It feels fresh, different and dark!
Most of these series are my TBR list, I started a couple already which had a slower pace indeed.
Interested in what you think of The Lightbringer. I DNFed it but still can’t decide if I didn’t like it or was just not in the mood for it.

I've been wanting to start Robin Hobb for ages but I'm sort of nervous about it because by the sounds of things there's a lot of tropes/character archetypes I don't usually like in it?? I'm the same, I plan to read them in publication order...whenever I get around to it LOL. Maybe it'll be an exception and I'll love it!
I read the Queen of Renthia trilogy and it's definitely one of my favourite fantasy series!

I picked up The Queen of Blood on a whim and I was surprised by how brutal it was. The first book was a really unexpected story overall and I enjoyed it. While I read the second book and appreciated the unique characters (one of the main protags is middle aged woman with kids! Who knew those existed in fantasy!) it wasn’t as strong as the first installment. Ended up not finishing the series. Still highly recommend the first book!
Now time to check out all the other series you mentioned because they sound Good.
I’m reading Assassin’s Apprentice right now and really liking Robin Hobb. Also, I read The Black Prism and haven’t read the other books in the series. I hope I can remember enough of what happened so I can carry on with the series. Also, why haven’t I read Mary E Pearson??
I'm pretty sure I liked Era Two of the Mistborn Trilogy more than Era One (which I feel is an unpopular opinion). Like you, I've got to get started on the Stormlight Archive, but...the 1000 page books scares the stuffing out of me.
I really need to start reading Brandon Sanderson & Brent weeks. I own the first Mistborn trilogy and The Black Prism so I should just stop procrastinating and start reading haha. I also really want to read Dance of Thieves but I've only read The Kiss of Deception so far so I'm going to finish up that series before I start the 'next' one :).

I do want to give The Stormlight Archive a shot and also every series Raymond E. Feist has written that I haven't read yet as well as the Farseer trilogy.
I also still haven't read The Lord of the Rings and have a couple of 1st books in German series on my shelves I really want to get to. One of them is about a magical library :)
I count 3% into a book not really as started, so I'm going to mention The Mists of Avalon here (the first book in the Avalon series).
You like grimdark and gaming, I think you'd like The Ravenmark trilogy by Ed MacDonald. The books feel a bit like progressing through video games and as an added bonus: the finale releases next month.
