It's not really the same but if you're looking for a Roman war RPG, peep A Legionary's Life. You're some random soldier in the Punic Wars, have to balance training, making connections in the military and fighting in battles, and can try to rise the ranks or just survive and go home. Most of the time some random enemy mercenary will kill you first though.
I want the Dino DLC. Custom faction based on you. All your spies are E-girls, all your unites are ballers and thugs. Your teck tree is based on LARP. Also, if they could ever have ck2 with total wars real time battles I'd think I was in map painter Heaven.

They did do rpg total wars: the King Arthur series! There was the first one that was a quiet indie success, and the second which got big advertising from Paradox then quietly did ok for an indie game and then all total war esque games seemed to abandon the idea sadly
