I looked at him and said "screw THIS!" - Peter Gabriel is playing tonight!! I got on the phone, called my favorite "ticket scalper" (this was a "pre - internet") - then we hopped in his car! They were "Obstructed View" seats! - Translation?! - There was a giant freaking POLE in front of us! - HAHAHA! Suddenly?! - Shock the Monkey came on! I gave him my BEST "Evil Grin"! lol He KNEW what I had in mind! By the second chorus?!? We had "crowd Surfed" our way to the front row"!!! TRUE STORY!!! = Swear to God! It's been almost 40 years, Mr. Gabriel Sir!!! We will NEVER FORGET that night! We LOVE YOU!!!! So MUCH!!! 🙂

I'm left overwhelmed by emotion in the wake of hearing this new song. I've had a lifetime of listening to pg and lucky enough to have witnessed him perform live a few times, that was long ago which seems like another lifetime, and here we are with i/o about to drop, with best friends having passed on since who are no longer with us to appreciate this new music. I am so grateful to be alive and well, three years after the global pandemic, and it seems to me this new album is yet another gift brought to us on the tides of time. Magnificent as always. I used to see Peter every tour up to So and Us, after that the ticket prices far exceeded my means, this tour is no different... all decent seats are $200, $300 and $400+ - even the nosebleeds are $70 something and up... obviously no longer playing to the masses who came back in the day but for the well to do... I don't blame him, of course... the whole ticket empire mafia and those multi billion dollar arena venues are responsible for the pricing. I admire him as a thoughtful, caring and committed human being, I love his music and always will, I'd just love to see him with his band again... I will continue to buy his albums and content myself with listening to them. .
Seen Peter in Glasgow with my daughter lately great night like this new stuff and so does my teenage daughter she picked this one out to show me as my memory is not great..
Lovely. One of the best from Peter's discography, full stop, in my opinion. In some ways this reminds me of "Here Comes The Flood". Have to admit I'd love to hear a cover of this by Tom Waits.
What a beautifully crafted song. It encapsulates and verbalises feelings and thoughts that are so difficult to express. Thank you Peter. The bright side version with the more prominent strings three quarters way through is my preferred version. It doubles down on the emotions stirred by the words.

I think that his next Long Play will be one of his best ones! The songs revealed until now are really touching and moving. Great lyrics and excellent arrangements! Peter is alive and kicking! Hope he comes to Argentina next year! For me, in my 50s, it´s a real influence as a human being and musician!

The Dark-Side Mix sounds more confortable for me. The dry+wet reverb on Peter laments vs the only wet track here, is emotionally superior. The rythmic final section is dinamically more interesting and detailed in the Dark-Mix too. Thank you for both.

I used to see Peter every tour up to So and Us, after that the ticket prices far exceeded my means, this tour is no different... all decent seats are $200, $300 and $400+ - even the nosebleeds are $70 something and up... obviously no longer playing to the masses who came back in the day but for the well to do... I don't blame him, of course... the whole ticket empire mafia and those multi billion dollar arena venues are responsible for the pricing. I admire him as a thoughtful, caring and committed human being, I love his music and always will, I'd just love to see him with his band again... I will continue to buy his albums and content myself with listening to them. .

Lovely. One of the best from Peter's discography, full stop, in my opinion. In some ways this reminds me of "Here Comes The Flood". Have to admit I'd love to hear a cover of this by Tom Waits.

What a beautifully crafted song. It encapsulates and verbalises feelings and thoughts that are so difficult to express. Thank you Peter. The bright side version with the more prominent strings three quarters way through is my preferred version. It doubles down on the emotions stirred by the words.

I think that his next Long Play will be one of his best ones! The songs revealed until now are really touching and moving. Great lyrics and excellent arrangements! Peter is alive and kicking! Hope he comes to Argentina next year! For me, in my 50s, it´s a real influence as a human being and musician!

The Dark-Side Mix sounds more confortable for me. The dry+wet reverb on Peter laments vs the only wet track here, is emotionally superior. The rythmic final section is dinamically more interesting and detailed in the Dark-Mix too. Thank you for both.
