What a wonderful and informative interview.
The education she has received in her efforts to help change the district school, opening her first charter school and now running all 47 schools, is incredible.
We should be listening to her insights as we reimagine the American educational system, in an effort to make it more competitive on the world scale

I think we only get Firing Line in the early AM hours Saturday mornings (usually 12:30) on my local PBS station. I missed it last night but was happy to see it already available on TH-cam. This was a very informative interview!

It’s interesting that they don’t talk about the very high turnover rate at sa she credits everything to the kids but never credit the hard working teachers who make these achievements possible
Talk about how stressed, over worked and underpaid the teachers are.

Her UK counterpart is Katherine Birbalsingh. I love the work of these women.

So good to hear Ms. Moskowitz is teaching children how to think and not what to think. But what about the heart? It's from the education of our feeling life that we find our interests, our passions and our vocation, our career. It would be interesting to track these children who are going to college now and see if they have found their place in the world, contributing to society, doing something they are passionate about.

There should be NO private schools and colleges. If that were done, like it was in Finland, then the rich WOULD contribute taxes and funding so that ALL schools were as good or excellent as they could be. Anything less is institutionalized racism and classism. NO more excuses.
