Why do people like yourself almost celebrate the complete demographic replacement of the native ethnic English in their own cities ? Why have you turned people of African decent into your religion ? You know as well as I do that their where almost none of these people in England in this time period even today they are only 2% of the population.

What a fantastic Video and Subject Joolz. As a Mixed Race Man ( Jamaican and Irish ) growing up in London all my life, it’s fascinating that these stories are under my very nose. In particular the history of Francis Barber. Keep up the good work! Maybe one day you can do an episode on the London Fire Brigade or Edmonton !

Often forgotten, but the fact is, the first slaves sent to the Caribbean to work were not from Africa, but white Irish. These include 2,000 Irish children Oliver Cromwell sent. It is said that 25% of modern day Jamaicans have Irish DNA.
Indeed. My Jamaican side of the family has an Irish surname and all have Irish features with light / Green eyes. When doing some digging the Irish have been in my family for hundreds of years! ☘️

Excellent! Best video yet! Very well conceived and produced. Having specialist guest contributors added so much and having a point of focus supported and emphasised the historical contextualisation. There was also an underlying narrative, which along with the appropriate choice of music added so much to the presentation. This was so much better than most programmes of this genre, funded by the big broadcasters. If they don't snap you up after this, I would be very surprised. Brilliant. Well done!

Joolz, I was an avid London visitor in years gone by. Between 1992 and 2012 I went once or twice a year. Not been since. I have a big family now that I'm longing to take to London. My missus and 2 oldest kids have been, but they were only small. I have a London book collection of about 40 books and I simply must add yours too. I found your channel a few weeks ago and I've binged a lot of your videos. Still many to go. Such a treasure trove of information. Why not do one about black people living in modern times ? Take a walk down Cold Harbour Lane dressed like that and see how friendly the locals are.
