As a Londoner who doesn’t live too far from the City and once worked in the area of the walk you featured, I love and am proud to have being born in the greatest city in the world. Lovely to see people from around the world appreciating our capital as well and thanks for your enjoyable walks.
I'm near Kansas City, about 2 hours from Fulton and the Church of St. Mary Aldermanbury, pass it frequently going back and forth between St. Louis. They have a beautiful Churchill museum there now. Unfortunately it's closed until June for renovations, but I'll go after that and take a picture and be sure to tag you. :)
Just add me diamond, I recognise many of your sights when I moved from up North ie Hartlepool to London for work I lived in the streets of London for 3 months including thru the kings x fire 🔥 and the Great storm, I passed thru Kings x 5 mins before the fire in 87, and passed back thru the area on the underground when I returned ( I rode the underground rails ) you could then for hours for 50p, and watch the mail train , I remember the great storm within a month in 87, the police ushered everyone of the Waterloo concorse as the glass in the roof was collapsing onto the concourse, the police said stay near the station, I however , went for a walk around London as I thought it was a unique opportunity to see The greatest capital in the world, 300 hundred year old trees fallen across the Mall, Now back up North but probably end back up on streets ( maybe in London). I realize not every building and landmark can be saved for various reasons, but when they’re gone people have fewer and fewer reminders of the stories that took place there. What you are doing is incredibly important. You are helping people visualize the endless rich history every step of the way. This channel is educational and impressively entertaining. Very well done
Thank you for continuing to put out great content under less than convivial circumstances. While it is so quiet in London, I wish the authorities in the City would give you access to places where you might not normally be able or allowed to go - your videos really bring out the best of London life and are a fantastic, quality boost for the old town.
This has been my favorite installment of your series. I had to watch it twice, while pausing frequently to read the plaques and memorial stones you've featured in this. 18:45 interesting it's named after a fort, the Barbican does remind me of a big sea fort outer walls always stained with dripping water. Walking around there even during a lunch time down the narrow corridors, there's just no one about even though as you state in the video, practically all homes are occupied. The outer courtyard is always empty. You can regard it as a semi failed project that just keeps chugging away through the ages.

Thomas btw was Christian's brother so he would be a ?x-gr uncle. But his father & uncle were Lord Mayor (obviously at different times - I believe John was even High Sherrif at one point) during the time of Henry the VIII & it is said that they had a huge home down on the Old Roman Road - even though I really enjoyed your vid you did on the Gresham, the Grasshoppers & The Exchange, I found it sad to see that huge modern bank built over the top of where it once stood.

Such a weird coincidence that I was there in the Barbican/St Pauls area around 4pm today! I've lived in London now for about a year and I've always wanted to see the real flats were Poirot lived on the TV series. I finished work and went for a lockdown walk to see it located near the meat market place. Lovely art deco building. Also very strange how I saw most of these statues and sites today and didn't have a clue what it was but you have answered all my questions straight away 😆. Was a littled freaked out that you posted this today after me visiting and explained everything to me!

Brilliant Joolz! One of the best walks around London I've followed you on. Not only do you reveal so many historical details which the average passer by fails to see, but you always have an amusing tale to tell. I love the City & never fail to walk round it when in the UK. Your TH-cam walks are definately the best as the majority are totally boring with inexperienced guides. Keep up the good work. Pity you didn't find a pub! 👏🍾👍
I love these guides, Joolz. As a seasoned veteran of 32yrs in the City, I'd love it if you were able to offer up a piece about some of the key pubs in the area (my old haunts) eg. Jamaica Inn, Old King Lud, Ye Olde Dr.Butler's Head, ye Olde Watling, etc. (some of which you allude to in your other guides). All great stuff, regardless.

Thank you
Splendid.
Thanks for posting this Joolz, it makes my day to see your videos!
I love your attention to detail, research & humor. You’re videos are a joy to watch.
I’ve turned into a Joolz Guides nerd. It’s official. Been waiting for a new video all week. Watch it twice already. What’s happening to me. I’ve got Coviditis. Commonly known as I’ve had enough of lockdown. 🤣
Absolutely loved this video mate. One of my favourites. Hope to see you in Covent Garden some day. Keep these great videos coming. 👏👏👏
Made my day seeing a new video posted. As always, brilliant.
Just found your vids. I'm enjoying them very much. It's a perfect compliment to the Time Team Vids. Very charming presentation. Great job!
Needed cheering up. Thank you for popping up on my YT feed. Cheers Joolz
Yippee. I love when I wake up to a new Joolz Guide posting. Love you Joolzie💕🥰
Splendid show again you crazy yet strangely alluring vagabond, splendid indeed
💖 from Tennessee!
I really like the music--it adds to story.
Just discovered your channel! Beautiful content!
Keep up the excellent work my friend!
Thank you, for all these walks. I'll spend some time walking around in London and watching historical sights. And I'll buy some comfy trainers as well
Joolzy Drinking Game:

The music from Little Lost Lou really enhances Joolz' videos! Love it!
@@stephaniecowans3646 youre all so lovely and kind thank you
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great outfit! Postman Park - is that a kid's show I missed? Not far from my birthplace - Bow.
Well, Excellent as always Julian. I enjoyed going around with you on your video, from the warmth of my bedroom on a very dreich February day in Ayr. And I also enjoyed a sunnier & warmer London, from some of your other videos. Thanks for that.
Every time I watch Joolz Guides video, I just want to walk around London. 🚶🏿♂️🚶🏿♂️ Keep up the good work. 🙏🙏
Brilliant. Thank you for showing the history. Love your channel. My Mum was born to the sound of Bow Bells
Yay i made it early, love your videos.
Always and forever...thank you!
I had somehow never come across your channel before even though this type of content is right up my street, so TH-cam recommended me this video and within 10 seconds I realised that I actually walked past you filming this a couple weeks ago as I headed to St. Paul’s tube station! Didn’t know who u were so neither did I know what u were filming! So glad to have come across this! Such a funny coincidence
