Sorry about that weird awkward pause in the middle of the cutscene. The dialogue actually wouldn't advance no matter what I did. Some weird glitch the localization team probably forget to check for. Anyhoo, this is the end of Chapter 6 cutscene that you'll get if your son's highest strength and interest is in academics. It isn't too hard to get with Nami's son.
This game went so deep. As a child I was crushed

Till this day I truly believe if the Harvest Goddess was present it would of made a huge impact on this game. I felt more connected to nature and life than I ever did on any other game. I would of liked to hear what she had to say.

When they remake fomt i know they will remake awol too, because awol is the most unique not only HM game aslo in farming sim genre, and awol also one of fan favorite game, so they miss big time if they not remaking it, and now they really remaking it, cant wait

Perhaps, making different friends could have turned the timeline for your kid.
Perhaps also choosing to say to your wife that you were hoping your kid to run the farm after you instead of following their own heart might have done so.

It's all based on who you befriend in the game and what you let your kid do/the toys you give them to play with iirc.

Age differenece? Because Japanese businessmen determined they had to look pretty at old age? Also it's subtle, but their hair grays over the years.

@@ashleylynn2701 It's not that they don't age. They didn't make new models for the older people, so they just recolor their hair.
I suspect it's because of overexertion. Running an entire farm for years, while mining and doing favors for the local deity on the side couldn't be good for your health

@@namelessl.w.3476 usually in that scene it is your son confessing to the girl he likes or it is his rival (forget the name) who confesses to whatever girl (Kate or Lumina)
@@xPATrisha Ohh, I see! Interesting. Marvelous is quite progressive now, so maybe they were already hinting on stuff from way back when. Like seriously, even some characters in the franchise can be quite homoromantic xD
Uhh no. It has always been lumina and kate in that scene, even if you married her, lumina will be present in that scene so them being a couple is certainly not the case lol. Beside, lumina must be in her 20 something by the second year while kate was still a child when she first showed up in the game.

StrayFae I got a question about the Toys
Can I buy all of them without selling them and still set my son's career.
It's adorable seeing him play with his toys. I don't want to sell them.
I'm hoping that if I keep all toys and just keep sharing items of my desired career he will catch on and be that career.
You can buy them all and choose which ones to stick in the toy box. I haven't really determined how influential the toys are in a casual playthrough since the toddler is so inconsistent with which toys he plays with. Sometimes he'll play with the toys, just lay on the floor, pull out a book out of the shelf and reads, or just completely leaves the house itself.
In my usual career runs in chapter 2, I'm either sleep scumming in which your kid gains no influence while sleeping or I'm forcing the kid to stand around in a location that influences a specific career so he can't gain anything in the other categories. Later on, the toys may have some use when item spamming your kid - like the toy car influencing art in Chapter 3 and onwards.
So whether or not you have any toys, as long as you're giving the kid freedom to run around, he's going to be gaining influence in many categories. Depending on which ending you're going for, it might be sufficient to just show him enough items everyday and maybe scrape by with the ending you want at the end. There are a lot of variables that can sway things.

I always answered positive to cute questions he asks
like "awe you sqware?" Or
"Daddy do you wike aminals?"
I don't wanna take away any toys he plays with it's too cute watching him play with them

Can I let my little guy play with his toys just fine as long as I influence him?
Well each individual action does very little in influencing his interest but it can add up. As long as you're consistent in showing/gifting items pertaining to ranching or scholar you may get the ending you want, although it may take your desired career all the way until the end of the game in order to push ahead.
Also for scholar, if you've married Nami, Gustafa, Marlin, or Celia you'll get an event in your child's room in Chapter 3 with a Wooden Box - answer positively towards the box for a massive boost of scholar strength. If you married Muffy/Rock, they'll get the Dead Stick cutscene instead which will influence art - answer negatively to this so you won't get the artist ending.
