Clint, Alan Bates spearheaded the 'kitchen sink drama' films in the UK on the 60's, gritty working class blokes and settings. Roger Daltrey was such a heartthrob and remained as good looking (my POV of course) to the present, his first fame was with the band The Who then a mixture of film roles and music. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴
"Kitchen sink dramas" huh? Sounds like my cup of tea. The Who have always fascinated me. Talk about a group that colored outside the box. Tommy was the first show I saw in New York (a revial in 1994). It was amazing...and hearth-breaking. Cheers!
Yuppers Clint, Kitchen Sink dramas were of both genders. A more 'famous' one is a B/W movie A Taste Of Honey. It's loosely based around Manchester, the Manchester Ship Canal, period slum living. A triangle of lives, white girl, gay feminine(?) boy and black lad who sailed in and out on a ship into the inland docks of Manchester/Salford. Stars were Rita Tushingham, Dora Bryan, Murray Melvin and Paul Danquah the original play and screenplay were written by Shelagh Delaney ( who became a tour de force of English New Wave writing, or Kitchen Sink Dramas) Tony Richardson originally directed the Broadway production of the play in 1960 and collaborated with the screenplay. KSD are often lumped into Socialist Realism genres. However you probably know all about A taste of Honey. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴
My film history professors skipped "kitchen sink dramas" altogether (although we spent a lot of time on UK horror films). So A Taste Of Honey is new-to-me. Thanks for the recommendation!
Guy Madison ❤ Paul Newman sunglass pic 🔥 a young Hemingway and Burt Lancaster 💋 😘 thanks for Buster too! One can dream...I should have been an MGM lot lizard or water boy.

Forgotten how handsome we were in yesteryear. Thanks for the memories.
We're still kinda cute, in my opinion. But the photos were more fun back in the film days. :-p
These photographic interludes are wonderful, aurally as well as visually. So many memorable faces and a whole lot of style to go with them.
Thank you. Glad you enjoy them on multiple levels. That's my goal. Cheers!
I think the accompanying music is very well chosen. All clasic handsome men. I never saw Hemingway before. So: 'chapeau'.
Glad you enjoyed. 🌈❤️✌️
Guy Madison, George Peppard and James Garner 😍wow. But where’s the incomparable Warren B?
Warren makes an appearance...in a part that hasn't premiered yet. :-)

Same! Can you imagine working there back in the hey-day. Probably a nightmare but what a pretty nightmare. Cheers! :-)
