Let me know what RPGs you'd like to see me play in 2024! There are many new ones I want to try and ones I've played on the list that I'd like to play some more
GURPS is my favorite game, and I'd love to see you do it! I'm not sure how well it would go on this channel though! Also if you're going to do apocalypse world you need to look at all of the games like dungeon worlds and the ilk to see if there's any genres you prefer over that. Any of the blanks without number like worlds without number stars without number! I look forward to all the RPGs you do in the future!
GURPS is one I hear about all the time so I'm very eager to give it a try. I'm curious as to why you're not sure how well it'd go on the channel (is it rules heavy?). Have you tried Cities without numbers? I backed that a while ago but haven't tried it yet, I'm tempted to try that one first of the series
@@boardgameswiththomas gurps is dense, but it's more of a tool kit. People go into groups looking at as a rule set and think they have to learn all of the rules. Basically you just find the rules you want to use and you use them there are a lot of rules that are you can't use together so it's obviously a toolkit. So you're teaching groups at the beginning would probably take you the entire 3 hours. Character creation can take that long as well. But if you believe that play is set up then creating the character and going over stuff is fun too. I enjoy making characters and groups because you can do pretty much anything you want. It'll get you 90% of your way to anything you want to do!
I'd be curious to watch an Apocalypse World solo play from you. AW is outside what I usually go for as I prefer fantasy themes over post apocalyptic themes but "psychic maelstrom" adds such a fine twist for me, I find it very appealing. It seems it would be tough to solo it, as the moves include certain questions MC is supposed to answer. I'm looking forward to watch your approach to play it solo.
I have it on my list since I'm a big fan or Ironsworn/Starforged which are based on Apocolypes world. I haven't look into much how it plays solo but I'll give it a shot at some point
