I love this guitar. I was skeptical due to it being MIC, but it’s an absolute beast and I forgot all about that after ripping the MIC sticker and jamming out. It’s absolutely fire breathing in tone. Very sharp looking too. I think Epi nailed it on this one.
Does anyone that has actual experience with 78-81 Norlin Customs neckwise (you know what I mean if you've played or owned one) been able to compare the feel of this model to the real deal?
Well the chibsons are like $300 US. And they are kind of a crapshoot buildwise and need better electronics and likely hardware. I've experimented with 2, sold em both at an even break. I just bought this model and it is leagues above any chibson I've played. Been playing for 30 years, I do setups and repairs as a side hustle. These specific epis are in a league of their own. Go try one out. I dare you
@RealBillBerg_8 if you're saying phones are overpriced you're correct. Based on labour's costs in China when compared to labour costs in the USA, Gibson guktsrs should be priced a lot higher than they are, hence Epiphones made in China should be half the price they are currently at.
@@dragan4658 well you'll have to tell me the wages in China are, as compared to a USD wages for me to buy anything you're currently selling... You know Gibson operates it's own factory in China, it builds only epiphones, the same way Fender goes to Mexico to source cheaper labour. Americans want a living wage but give no F's about other people's wages and still want to buy cheap stuff... You probably believe Harley's are worth 4 times what a Honda costs lol
@RealBillBerg_8 haha you think you know it all, that's funny. I've had Hondas a d Harleys and they are worth more, they retain value better than Hondas, you just buried yourself with that analogy lol. Go troll elsewhere.
except you say "China YAAAAS" when it comes to your $1000+ smart phone, $2000 macbook or PC, $3000 tube amp that says Made in America but is actually assembled from all made in china parts, any all electronics and appliances in your house, your nikes, etc. If this guitar was made in America it would be *looks at Gibson version* $10,000
I played one of these yesterday in a store and it feels cheap. It's rediculous heavy as well. Like heavier than my Artist TC59 that I demoed a few years ago. The neck is super sticky and feels exactly the same as a Epiphone Les Paul standard or Epiphone Les Paul Custom You're paying 300% more for a Seymour Duncan pickup, a Silverburst finish and fake Schaller tuners that are not very precise and jump a bit as I discovered oh and a cheap plastic Epiphone hardcase. Also just below the Adam Jones hanging on the wall in the store was a Brand New Gibson SG standard in limited TV yellow for the same asking price. Beautiful👍And to the left was a Fender Ultra Strat for less than both. You'd have to be an absolute Smeg to buy a Chinese guitar over a US. I love AJ and have been listening to TOOL since the early 90s but no thanks man. It's Chinese. Premium prices and made in china should never be an actual thing in my book.😂

That guitar is truly something. The best. 🔥🔥🔥
That was some really nice playing dude
Can you make a comparison video? The Epiphone art & 1979 vs the Gibson standard. 👍🏼
The intro riff is sweet :) Is that from a Tool song I missed?
no no
why is the tear drop funky looking...especially on the treble side
Mines the same way
How does this stack up against the Gibson LP standard version?

Man the price for Chinese guitars is getting mental. At this rate of increase even Chibson might be out of my reach.....

Flashy but made in China and priced double of what it should be, based on the fact that it's made in China, no matter how good it may or may not be.
How much are iPhones? I heard they may be MIC's ;)

I have a 2021 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul and it looks like it was painted by a child. $5k guitar. I’m not sure this one is a bad deal.
Well if you were familiar with the Norlin era, you’d know Les Pauls of the time were significantly heavier than other LPs
