It's a damn shame it takes events like 9/11 or Bin-Laden's death to make us fell united and triumphant. I agree though. During riots over George Floyd, people were legit burning the U.S flag. Pretty ridiculous.
@@a70770 It is comparable, not the death count, but the impact both men had on the American people was of similar value. As a Jewish person, Hitler was an evil man who was responsible for the deaths of 6 million of my people, but he never infiltrated and attacked America *IN OUR OWN TERRITORY* the way Osama bin Laden did. That's the reason it's comparable.
I appreciate how many journalists remarked on the sentiment of most young people then. People around the world have to understand most of the 20-somethings in that video were in middle/high school on 9/11/01. Particularly folks who grew up in the NY area were traumatized by those events and lived in general fear for a very long time. Imagine being young and teachers/parents always being so sure of your safety for most of your life and one day it all being turned on its head. We saw those towers fall right in front of us. Many of us knew people who died there. We didn't expect to feel that way when Bin Laden was killed, but there was massive jubilation. Maybe we won´t get rid of terrorists, but I´m grateful to USA. I give my respect to the people who lost their families. I can understand the crowd for singing.
Let me give you a more sane response. Because America is more than a country - it is a way of life, a bulletproof idea, an identity. America is who we are. The best way to describe it would be that if America asked of me I would give it no matter what I am asked to give, no matter the cost.
Why are people so patriotic at the World Cup? Oh yeah, because it makes sense to be happy with the country you live in. Also, we killed a mass murderer who was the definition of evil. America definitely has it’s flaws but simply being patriotic is not strictly American, nor is it a crime.
I didn't bother going downtown when this happened. I didn't feel like joining hordes of blind patriots who believe the death of one man (that is if he's really dead) solved anything. It didn't. ***** then why was their a mass media following when they died
+slapshot68 .... i agree with that. but its Chris Kyle said "were the silent warriors"
Now look at us our new generation hates USA 😢
We hate usa because for specific reasons USA was great back then before Trump came
It's a damn shame it takes events like 9/11 or Bin-Laden's death to make us fell united and triumphant.
I agree though. During riots over George Floyd, people were legit burning the U.S flag. Pretty ridiculous.
@@MaclarenJamie🤓🤓🤓so your love for the country depends on the president? Fake @ss.
Thank you Chsforever! And may god bless you, your people and your country. Amen
Hate runs in circles. This is not the end and will never be the end.
It is the end. Osama is dead. USA is finally at peace. You're ruining the mood. Our buildings will be avenged from what he's taken from US.
Well 10 years later and it sure was the end.
0:01 US Flag on Scottish bagpipes 😂
USA! USA!! USA!!!
@chacjiaman9375: Iraq had to nothing with WTC
The last time the United States was truly a United nation.
I was sleep I remember waking up with espn reporting on it and thought I was tripping
According to TV Tropes this would be an example of "And There Was Much Rejoicing."
It was like the death of Adolf Hitler and the end of WWII.
No it wasn't, that's not even comparable. Ww2 was far worse than 911. 3000 deaths vs 70 million deaths.
Although the situation was pretty morbid in hindsight, I'm still glad I was there. It is indeed a major part of the history of the American psyche.
R JN I was a child when it happened and am a little younger than the people in this crowd. So I agree!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤
R JN well said
I was 9 when the CIA did the controlled demolition.

If only we could act this united every day
Who woulda thought there would be Americans partying at Ground Zero 🇺🇸
I remember was I was I was sleeping, at 2:00 am my parents woke my brother and I up and told us the President has an announcement. Little to our surprise it was that we got him .

I was in training for a deployment to afghanistan when i heard the news!!!! They stopped training and told all of us! It could have been my proudest and most emotional day as an american! Being only 15 minutes from where the plane crashed in Pennsylvania and sitting in school when it flew over ! it really hit home! and those attacks were the reason i joined the military! And not a day goes by that i don't wake up an remember why i'm an american and why i serve my country
Well boys we did it
That evil guy is no more
The world is saved of course
As skipper would say of course
It's moments like this that make want to be an American.
You know what is closure? Winning the war, not killing a single guy.
And today some are cheering for Gaza
@Texasmeditv:
Bush knew yes Bin Laden did it but Bush knew, the first truthers were relatives of victims, and Iraq did not 911, Saddam had not wmd had to nothing with it, and I am angry that you still use 9/11 for attack other states, Bin Laden died we are tired of your wars

Yes. They Want The Good Guys To Win...
I was overjoyed when I heard the news.I was shocked they had found him.My heart skipped a beat.I was happy the 9/11 victims got justice after almost 10 years. This was an exception
Hell yeah, I’m so happy about it. Many innocent victims died because of him!
It hurts to see the difference between then and now.
I don't think any of us were even around to witness that.
Sidetalk would’ve went crazy here
if it would happen today I think the reaction would have been different

OOHRAH! GET SOME! ! ! ! !
why are americans so patriotic
i think it was WWII or WWI
Let me give you a more sane response. Because America is more than a country - it is a way of life, a bulletproof idea, an identity. America is who we are.
The best way to describe it would be that if America asked of me I would give it no matter what I am asked to give, no matter the cost.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) We are Americans how do you think we are what we are today?
Why are people so patriotic at the World Cup? Oh yeah, because it makes sense to be happy with the country you live in. Also, we killed a mass murderer who was the definition of evil. America definitely has it’s flaws but simply being patriotic is not strictly American, nor is it a crime.
@@rachitacharya5665 not really
still great to watch
Look how much trauma was done to americans on 9/11.
I didn't bother going downtown when this happened. I didn't feel like joining hordes of blind patriots who believe the death of one man (that is if he's really dead) solved anything. It didn't. People like bin Laden have always been around and with help - like the help he got from our own government. Hail to the chief, sheeple!
