Fuels music was the soundtrack of my life as a high school kid in the early 2000's. Class of 06 and we had so much great music to party to during that decade. I also remember seeing Shinedown in concert when nobody hardly even heard of them yet.
Damn man...Brett can still belt that shit out...He hasn't hardly missed a lick over the years...Brett Scallions and Fuel are the shit!!! Dudes voice sounds good af live.
I liked that guitar solo at the beginning and towards the end. However, the clean tremolo guitar on studio album is so nice is my favorite part of the song. They didn't really change up the settings quite the same here. Overall, nice performance. Good singing!
Brett's voice has been very up and down over the past 20 years or so. I saw Fuel live in 2014/15 and he sounded really good. Much better than in this video.
I don't think it was drugs. From what I've heard he broke his nose smacking his face on Carl Bell's guitar and had to have surgery on his nose. I'm sure the surgery is the culprit of the change you hear.
I honestly believe he could sing better if he dropped the guitar. Singing is easier without an instrument. He is at that age to do that. Honestly it doesn't have to be drugs. He is not a young guy and the music he wrote was bound to damage his voice.
This is one of the greatest songs of all time....probably their best.
Brett Scallions you surely are missed and never replaced!
Fuel will never be the same without Brett!

Age does worse things to the voice than anything.
Its probably just what happens when you sing these songs live. He has been losing his voice since 2004.
He had to relearn to sing after facial surgery.
