0:25 Stephen: "A lot of Laotian food does have peanuts, but fortunately they are able to not put peanuts in some of the dishes". NARRATOR VOICE: (for the uninitiated, Stephen now thinks they did leave peanuts in Mal's appetiser and she was ill afterwards)
“I had 3 cinnamon rolls for dinner” is such a I’m an adult and it’s December sort of thing! Also trick my family uses with those tube doughs is to hit the seam with a butter knife after taking the layer of paper off. It gets right in the crack of the tube and you can whack it at a safe distance and unlike the spoon trick you don’t have to handle it as much if it’s too scary.
I thought of Stephen a couple days ago when I went to open a tube of cinnamon rolls. I knew exactly how to unwrap the paper because of watching Stephen’s confusion. I was thinking that I need to prepare myself for the POP when I press the spoon down. I hadn’t even gotten the spoon yet when the tube exploded. Startled me!!
I've never experienced Laotian food, but those dishes looked incredibly tasty. I'll have to give it a try the next time an opportunity presents itself! And I may have to revisit the MalMakes VOD of Stephen making cinnamon rolls after reading these comments. 😂
I've been to Laos on a trip when I was living in Thailand! It was very similar to my city in Thailand's food (only with more French stuff), but I was in Central-Northern Thailand fairly close to the border.
Cinnamon roll smash- I mean, _baking_ stream day! I've never had Laotian food but I'd love to try some. It looks very very similar to Thai food but geographically, that makes sense. Anyway. This vlog inspired me to make some Thai red curry for tonight. Thanks! 😂
@@radiodread I was just now rewatching the vod of Stephen opening that can of cinnamon rolls and that was so dang funny 😂 When can I get my Thai Red Curry 🥹🥹🥹
Oh boy, this is the day where Stephen struggled to open the tube of cinnamon rolls. 6 and a half minutes of hilarious torture 😂
omg ty for the reminder xD i forgot about that!!!
The six and a half minute struggle of getting the tube open was worth it tho XD

Every time I see “Laotian”, I always think of the “So, are you Chinese or Japanese?” moment from King of the Hill :V

This vlog in combination with my love of Vietnamese food makes me very eager to look for a local Laotian place
Ah yes... the cinnamon roll stream, in which Stephen fails at reading simple instructions for like 7 minutes xD

It rubs the Laotian in its tummy
The Pork Belly Soup at Bida Manda is life changing. No exaggeration.
Lmao, I remember watching the stream where Stephen struggled with the cinnamon roll tube.
Oh god this was the Cinnamon Roll stream
ahhh, y'all channeled your inner Khan and Minh 🤣🤣🤣

omg watching this vlog as I'm literally eating a cinnamon roll myself lol.
"Laution food does have peanuts, but fortunately they are able to just not put peanuts...on some of the dishes" famous. Last. Words.
That Laotian food looks so good. I wish I could have it but I can't because I was cursed with the cilantro soap gene.

TIL that 'Laotian' is yet another word pronounced differently in American and British English.
I'm American, but I'm pretty sure it's pronounced like louse? Never heard it pronounced like lay-ohs until now
@@wingzofice If Google is to be believed, the country is pronounced like that in both, but the nationality is different.
