@@Cfdrifbloom yup, inferior roster. Why? Because so many of the characters feel similar to each other in Nick Brawl. Zero to death potential? Yup. The same throws? Yep.
I'm not claiming they're all exactly the same, but Melee's roster (echo fighters aside) did a lot more to make them feel different, from their specials and smash attacks to the way they moved.
And on the subject of roster...this is meant to be the first major Nick fighting game, and yet not a single character from Fairly Odd Parents? Yet we have April O'Neill and Helga? Some weird choices IMO

This game truly does show the age of the boomers and the zoomers.
As soon as anyone says "Who's oblina and who's powered toastman?" I feel 49 years older.

Yeah, this game needs a ton more key frame animations. Combos are complex, snappy, and take you across the entire screen, but it's hard to tell what's going on. It's like an odd witch's brew of Melee and Brawl; I have no idea how else to describe it

@@Bragglord although it’s a small team, I have complete faith in the devs. They really are interacting and listening to the players. And also I don’t think they care that some of the characters are broken, they are letting us go at it and they will patch it when they feel they should(there is supposed to be a patch in the first week of launch I think)
With the melee music in the background, it feels like a heavily (magically) modded smash game at some points.
The steam reviews for this game are absolutely hilarious as well

why do I feel like this game is the cataclysm for people once loving a character, then hating them so much cause either they are busted for not reason or doesn't perform well, or getting the Yassuo treatment where "If you play X character then you suck"

I personally love avatar,but I won’t but a game just for him. Like this game doesn’t have the characters to appeal to the youth. Besides spongebob.

@@week1868 sure, maybe but one show doesn’t seem like it’ll be enough especially since rive never heard a kid talk about the loud hous. And the dlc sounds it will be more older characters. Nick is trying to nostalgia bait to hard and needs to focus on gameplay.

I haven't tried every character yet, but I'm really liking reptar, Nigel, powdered toast man, and toph, but I'm kind regretting getting it on PlayStation it's hard to get used to
Same I got it on ps5 to play with friends but the joystick position is weird
