Ben is a great guy! I have done business with him and will continue to do so. Very, very honest, fair, and talented. We never met, but I consider him a friend. His prices are fair. He describes everything just as they are AND he answers your email. I feel he also is a very kind man.

Great looking shop! As a teen I was taken in by a gent like you who taught me radio. He was a disabled WWII vet who repaired tough dogs for other repairmen. I helped him lift and maneuver equipment, radio and TV chassis on his bench. While he was troubleshooting I watched quietly at every move he made. He often explained what he was doing. Later on in high school he coached me for my HAM license. After high school I enrolled at RCA technical institute in New York City. Upon graduation RCA hired me in the Camden plant. I spent 40 years working for RCA. The last 15 in the Princeton Research Labs on Color TV. The XL100 and Colortrak models were much of my experience. Every young person should be so lucky to have a craftsman take them under his wing. So here is a salute to you and my mentor, a Syrian immigrant who took on the American name of Dave George. In my retirement years I volunteered at a local college to teach radio. One of My class project's was building a Theremin. I salute you Mr. Ben. I was drafted during the Vietnam Nam war and trained as a Radio Repair Mechanic. My service included Nam and Germany. Working on Army equipment made my tours feel worthwhile.

I have been following Ben's Radio attic for more than 10 years. He does a wonderful job of restoring and I bought a great radio from him a few years back.

Stumbled across this whilst looking for radio knobs. This man seems content. He reminds me so much of my grandfather who would've been 84 this year. Things that make you cherish local business, even if you aren't a local . . .

Currently getting an estimate for a radio from him. Quick to respond. I'm seeing this video is a few years old now. It's sad that finding people that know how to work on these as a professional is getting harder and harder to find. I would love to learn this skill. Hopefully someday I can find someone in my area that would like an apprentice.
