This is from "I Confess", originally telecast on April 4, 1968. The original telecast was incomplete, because ABC News cut away from it around 8:50pm(et) {"They're gathering firewood from Maine to California"} to present a special report on the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King in Memphis earlier that evening. The network didn't resume regular programming until after "THAT GIRL" started at 9pm. The episode *was* presented in full that August.

Thank you for sharing that information. I was 4 and remember vividly the announcement. I don't remember what show we were watching, but I do remember Walter Cronkite making the announcement, so it must have been CBS, and watching my mother scream and burst into tears. I was sitting on the floor in front of our Motorola TV and was old enough to understand that he was shot dead. I immediately became frightened that we were going to be shot and killed too because we are Black too. I started crying. It was a horrible night. I was afraid to go to sleep so I slept with my mother.

You COULD visit Havana, Cuba and ride around in one of those left over from the 1950s belching and inching around the collapsing streets and buildings of the crumbling city. Like a lot of people visiting, thrilling around the town in a 1955 mercury car, but never realizing the terrible reality of the common people living there.
Got to love those ads with the SS Camaro & Nova, and if you notice on the console were the knobs for the 4 speaker stereo radio, wouldn’t mind having both of them

I didn't realize the first gen Camaro had the gauges on the console. I hated it in the 5th gen but I guess it was cool retro.
