Thanks for this video. I've been hesitant to manually defoliate my 4-in-1 apple tree that still hasn't dropped its leaves down here in south Florida. I've seen several videos on TH-cam that recommend doing so but in the back of my mind, I'm thinking that the tree is still photosynthesizing and gathering energy in its roots and trunk. We've had 0 chill hours this year thus far but my 4-in-1 pear tree, also in a container, dropped all its leaves months ago. Right now, I'm leaning towards letting mother nature do her thing and see what happens for my experiment.
If you're not expected to get any chill hours for the rest of the season I would not defoliate your trees right now. It's now the end of February and We are beginning spring and things are waking up regardless.
(120ml) ¼ cup of honey and two tablespoons (30ml) of borax in a small thin cup or dish or plate. Small enough so that they can crawl into it and big enough to hold the mixture.
Thanks for the update A-A-ron! I hope You get a lot of fruit this season.
You're very welcome, glad I can help!
We are always excited in the springtime to see how our plants and trees grow. We are hopeful for a good crop this year.

We have a brand new 3 in 1 apple tree and it is all backwards, it was flowering in January LOL
Hopefully this spring our new apple tree will reset itself!

Watch out for pets eating this stuff, will make them vomit! Or worse...
