Very inspiring! I've been using commercially-made enclosures and decor since first getting snakes but I want to start DIYing since it's definitely more enrichment for them!
Thank you! I think it’s just a fun way to get creative with things. I love repurposing things and if I can do something where I can transform a piece if furniture into a proper habit for an animal then I say GO FOR IT!
Great job. I make my own as well. Pvc is bloody expensive as hell up here in Ontario. Was going to build a bigger rack but cause of the strike in outta work so it will have to wait. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! And to be honest i never took woodshop! But i grew up building things whether it was other enclosures and so on. I just kinda creatively brainstorm what the needs for the animal are along with what I think would look visually appealing and go from there! While also making it functionally sound! Sometimes it doesn’t always work out but i try to work out those problems especially if i am sharing it out there with the world because i dont want others to suffer any issues so i try my best to avoid that! But really i feel it comes from inspiration from seeing other enclosures and exhibits and incorporating different aspects i like!
Definitely inspiring for my Yellow Ratsnake

Nice build and work. Did you have experience in making stuff like this like in a workshop class before having reptiles? 🙂👍🐍
