LOVE IT! I have the same hood. Been thinking of using a TV mount. Now I'll definitely use a TV mount. Thanks for the video!

Great idea, I used a double one of these (free ex work) overhead for a couple of cheap LED flood lights. I'm still trying to get decent dust collection so I'll probably give this a shot. Thanks.

I hope you find it useful! I am considering an alteration of this in the future for greater flexibility, so keep that in mind for how you choose to work with your setup. Cheers!

Thanks, Don, with a change that should work for me. Can you tell me the distance from the front to the back, no including the pipe stub on the very back?
    Thanks

Hi! Without the pipe stub, the hood measures roughly 8.5 to 9 inches in depth. Hanging from the wall, where I have mine mounted in the center, the face of the hood sits out away from the wall a good 14 to 15 inches when fully extended. I hope that helps!

Nice. You could try adding the extra weight to the sides and maybe you can eliminate the weight at the bottom to give you more clearance.

What 4” hose are you using? Mine are too stiff to control my hood in various places.

It was some pretty cheap dryer hose I found on Amazon. It has worked well for me up to this point. However, someday I would like to go with a more robust solution. Thanks for stopping by!

    Nice, I have something similar.

Sweet! I am looking to modify this a bit in the future, but it sure does well for general dust, especially when sanding.

The arm he has listed no longer has the ability to remove the thumb screw and lift hood off. It is now a permanent attachment.

Hmm...looks like I may have to work through an update to see what will work for folks. Thanks for the heads-up!

@@nullcycle It does everything else bur remove. Fortunately that is not a problem for me since mine is mounter on a 2 x 4 stand.
