  • Hey everyone!
This video was filmed over 3 months and recounts my preparation with Romeo for the Tom Quilty Gold Cup! I go through some of my training and tips to get prepared for the National Championship and show my new Gaston Mercier Saddle and my new LS Equestrian tack set! I am super lucky to be sponsored by these two amazing companies. You can find out more about their quality products here:

There was a lot of hard work in the lead-up to the Quilty week. We had come so far, done all of the endurance races we wanted to do and were ready to go. Making sure Romeo didn't injure himself in the final week was so stressful - but thankfully he didn't! The next video will be quite a long one... it's going to be the ENTIRE TQ22 week! From Monday when we pack to go, to Sunday when we returned home. I am super excited to share my experience with you all! Hope you enjoy the video :)
My name is Cami and this channel is all about my endurance riding journey with my beautiful Arabian Romeo.
My videos are about all things horsey! I'll document my rides, training and care of my horses and aim to introduce other equestrians to the amazing sport of endurance riding :)

So lucky you can just ride out and have long trails from where the horses live. Makes training so much easier when you don’t have to float them every time you want to do a decent ride which is why I don’t aim to do anything greater than a 40km too stressful 😅 and looks like youve created a rocket ship of a horse there 😂

The new bridle is awful, it's on his sharp cheek bones, and on his sensitive eye areas.

Yikes - what a supportive and educated comment. 🙄
In reality, endurance tack has a unique fit and is made with different lines vs your run of the mill horse tack. Additionally, Arab heads can be trying to fit perfectly due to the breed's physical characteristics. It seems to sit well against his temples and cheeks to me from the brief view we had visibility of. If anything, the throat latch may have been a teeny bit tight in the view where he was in the barn standing still, but you can clearly see in the video of him out in the tack under saddle that it's loose enough for comfort but still safely secure. As this was also her first test of it all, I'm sure she'll adjust as needed to best accommodate Romeo's comfort and overall safety.
Let us all take a moment (or two) to remember that photos and video visible via the internet may not always reflect the most accurate representation of the real life occurrences in the owner's and animal's lives. It would have been much easier to ASK about the fit if you saw concerns you felt warranted mentioning vs what you accomplished doing with your comment. My definition of this behavior is unlikely to be TH-cam safe, thus I'll hope you can find some kindness to share with someone today and leave it at that. 😉
