  • In this episode, I build the front wall frame which is a major support part for the upper pop-up section.
The core part of this video is about building the deck(floor). It's based on the subframe that I have shown in my previous video. The deck consists of sheets of plywood treated with polyurethane varnish on all sides. After that, the bottom side was painted with regular spray paint and finally covered by a flex seal for weather protection.

Something called Deck Armor. Used for sealing wood and concrete decks/patios. Stuff works like a bed liner coating. And comes in colors or can be colored like paint. If Deck Armor works like Rhino Liner. Rhino Liner used to coat a concrete brick wall stops tornado toss 2x4s. So would be more a stiffener then a rubber coating. Plywood used in home flooring is best to avoid warping when 24" or less spacing with 2x8s on end and not flat. Sit on the floor edge and see if there is any flex and know the weight of the walls + ceiling will rest there. I think about cheating with my goose neck trailer. Ripping the frame off a pop up light camper and mounting it there on the neck.
$100 Stick welder from online or Harbor Freight. Some practice and metal tubing for a complete frame and floor. Be amazed by looking up used RVs and where they all fail and become very water damaged cheep due to vibration and flexing. An over the cab aero sleep/storage area to keep highway wind speed down to a minimum.
