Sonia, I discovered you last year and have been greatly encouraged by your creativity. I found a few bratz dolls and am in the process of redoing them for my two granddaughters for their upcoming birthdays. My question is, have you ever made bangs for dolls that did not originally have them and if so how did you make the bangs stay down? Most of the dolls I have seen have their hair back, and I experimented with one to try and have bangs, but the hair does not want to stay down. I am trying to make these dolls resemble the granddaughter I am making it for and one has bangs.Thank you so much for all the time, effort and encouragement you put forth, I appreciate it, and for your time in responding to questions.In Joy,
Thank you so much! Now I can "fix" my youngest girl's doll's hair! I like to repair, reuse, repurpose, restyle heaps of things, but my main talent is sewing rather than painting. You are a true inspiration!
Just a cautionary note: I used recently boiled water to get rid of the frizz from my daughter's doll's hair, and it did work, but it also got rid of the curl. I'm in the process of trying to get the curl back by rolling the hair round something very slim and pouring hot water over it again, and I got a small amount of it back by using my finest hair curler, but it's not slim enough to do get a good curl. Just so you know :-)
Is there any kind of priming or preparing that you need to do on a dell before you paint it? I am making an alien doll, and want to paint it silver over the entire doll. Just wondering if there’s a product that you would recommend to make sure that the silver doesn’t come off? TIA 😍👍

I re-made two dolls that i was happy with that i found plus one that was really hard and i couldnt actually get the eyes off because they were kind of small and then i used too much nail polish remover and then the skin went pink :) but it was fun! but couldnt get the boots to work...

Some people are dying doll hair now with Rit synthetic fiber dye. Cover face and neck with petroleum jelly to keep dye free. Test this before using on a doll you like.
can you please show us how to die a dolls hair because I have afew old ones with pink or blue streaks it there hair and I want to know how to die it all brown, black, red or blond like real hair
trying to die ti isn't always a good idea, I personally get hair extensions from beauty stores like Claires then cut out the strikes and reroot it using a rerooting tool, it does take more effort but creates but nicer hair, if you want more info on rerooting I'd suggust looking at the youtube channel MyFroggyStuff.

A thought make bald dolly's with a knitted cap for little girls that maybe have cancer. Love the videos❤❤😊

Straws with Bobby pins work well. If you want super tight curls you can use wooden skewers. (Just cut both down into smaller lengths
