@@Mithrandir1983 Actually Mathieu kinda started her fabulous career by doing Piaf songs but later pivoted to her own style. I have to agree on Piaf being the one and only Piaf. Piaf gave so much of herself into her music and her music was really strong, rugged and unapologetic, quite like her life. Mireille Mathieu on the other hand is absolutely fabuluos artist and her voice and articulation is second to none. I absolutely adore her. However as far as we know, she has been a very disciplined private person for all her life with no scandals or any public outcry. Si elle a quelque chose à regretter, je ne sais pas quoi. In my mind, arguably the two most talented female singers I have ever heard.
