As far as Driveshafts..... I'd say stick with the lighter 9mm Dogbones. *BUT,* get yourself a set of TOOBZ at DDM. That will keep your Hardened Drive Cups from EXPLODING!! Hey brother played God of War and got pretty far into it it's an awsome game almost cinematic your gonna like it if you haven't played it much yet. This is a sweet build. I took my basically stock baja out for a rip last days off was a ton of fun even had my dad take it for a rip😂. Seemed a little slower then I remember might have to gear up a bit but don't want to loose the low end either. Also I got my motor a Novarossi 28-8 REX Legend the one you recommended for my soon to be truggy build. Haven't got the actual truggy kit yet waiting until mid summer and want to sell a few of my other RC before I get to many. I picked up a X-ray XB8 used also and went ahead and got a Novarossi Karma .21 limited edition for that one. That will be a experiment for me. Your fan and brother from 🇨🇦😂😂👍 just in case you forgot haha. Take care for now. Working another two weeks 👎😂. Can't wait for my next rotation off to play with some of these toys.

Definitely pull apart diff mine had no had stuff all grease in it and diff oil worth undoing a few screws for piece of mind plus will put more torque in it for speed runs

longboardguy adjust your carburetor so your engine can idle with the throttle completely closed ! Then you must adjust your end points on your remote and then you are good to go !! Also check your end points for your steering because you don’t want to burn out your Servos

Here's a story you might like, ok back when I was a noob I was into electric amd I thought it was cool but then I saw vids on youtube (including yours) about nitro cars so I went to my hobby store (it was traxxas warehouse and now is closed lol) to get somthing that broke on my exceed buggy and when I was there I asked about nitro and if it was easy and stuff of that nature and the dude (now looking back at it) said a bunch of things that were soo dumb. So he said "don't do it becuase there finicky, you have to put oil in it after every run, clean the filter, and take the engine apart after every run" and at that time I knew a little bit about nitro and I watched vids on mantinence and I knew that you didn't have to take the engine apart so I bought one anyways. And I loved that car and I mantained it and one I had to get the brakes replaced and I knew how to do everything but that and I thought that was hard becuase on the Nitro 4 tec it's all jammed by the engine (kind of like a baja) soo they charged me $180 dollars for a brake job!!! What a big scam, so that's when I became interested in how everything worked and I started wrenching myself and ever since then I love working on rc! And I know not to give my car to a hobby store unless it's somewhere like Track day hobbies which I know wouldn't scam me.
Cool stuff man, lot of nice parts, gives me some ideas as i plan on doing another Baja rebuild in the future, good to see sharing what you have and knowledge it helps me out and lots of others as well keep up the good work & can’t wait to see that beast unfold (whitto’s rc from Australia)

They have a blast so I may set up a car for that type of driving in the future but I can always throw a set of slicks to my X2

That's going to be one light slingshot baja, but of course you would get off to one hell of a start. All you need to figure out now is engine and diff configurations and of course proper effective tires and you will be kicking ass before our very eye's. I see a great light weight build in the making!
Love the table of goodies‼️‼️‼️. Turtle racing parts are great i have all of them in my 5sc. However in a drag racing application like you said light weight is key. The one great thing though about the turtle racing clutch housing is that it has the proper length stud and no spacer is required witch makes putting the engine in much easier. Great video as always.

If doing straight drag u want minimal alloy parts as possible they make carbon shock mounts n top plates engine wise one my buddys has an obr 57 twin on full carbon build so motor wise u good wit carbon

I like me a hi rev 30.5 but a 32 would be great and even a 34 just to push the tall gearing but a good Modified 30.5 would be nasty ! My friend ran the OBR 32 for a year on his 5T and it did well and the 5T is much heavier now he runs OBR 46 in the 5T and he put the 32 in a smaller lighter Losi 5B and it’s still running good ! If you get there 34 ? Make sure it’s a good Modified one so you get some RPMs out of it .

dallas robey I work 8 to 8 everyday. Lately I have only been working 8 to 4 but I have done some side work like Roof repairs and even cutting trees . I have to work a lot always not just for my toys that I love to do but mostly for my family!!
I forgot but I have it written down somewhere. I think it was 24lbs but I had to add weight to the front to keep it down and also a little weight on the back so I could have better traction at the track

Here's a question when I apply my brakes on the baja it slows idle and almost kills engine at times. Is that a linkage adjustment issue?

If doing straight drag u want minimal alloy parts as possible they make carbon shock mounts n top plates engine wise one my buddys has an obr 57 twin on full carbon build so motor wise u good wit carbon

With the diff dnt use a locker if u want a safer version of a locker just put a heavy weight diff oil in my drag baja I run 1m diff oil
david pessall Bajas need thin oil to lock up quickly unlike LOSI Style diffs !! Are you aware of that? If I go thick it will not grab as hard only with Baja Diffs

Just my suggestion, if you want to be more precise take the stuff out of the bag. Believe it or not the bag can give a few grams/oz on the scale.

I like me a hi rev 30.5 but a 32 would be great and even a 34 just to push the tall gearing but a good Modified 30.5 would be nasty ! My friend ran the OBR 32 for a year on his 5T and it did well and the 5T is much heavier now he runs OBR 46 in the 5T and he put the 32 in a smaller lighter Losi 5B and it’s still running good ! If you get there 34 ? Make sure it’s a good Modified one so you get some RPMs out of it .

dallas robey I work 8 to 8 everyday. Lately I have only been working 8 to 4 but I have done some side work like Roof repairs and even cutting trees . I have to work a lot always not just for my toys that I love to do but mostly for my family!!

I forgot but I have it written down somewhere. I think it was 24lbs but I had to add weight to the front to keep it down and also a little weight on the back so I could have better traction at the track
