So the tune is still on the vehicle for MAP4, it’s just that the app hasn’t connected yet after cold start so the app itself doesn’t know. But rest assured it’s still on MAP4 on the module. I had a 2017 GTI with one of these and it did the same thing, but you could obviously tell it was still on (night and day without the tune). Now I have 2020 F150 3.5 and going to put one of these on again. I love JB4 they do such a great job and customer service is amazing
That’s nice to know! Thank you. I bought one for my bronco when I had it because I didn’t want to void the warranty & it blew me away. I’ve always done custom tunes, but these are damn impressive!
Yes! If you have the Bluetooth model you can use your phone on both! You can also have your girl or whatever have the login to JB4 & she can have it on her phone! I have a link in my description that takes you straight to burger tunings website w/ all their goodies!
I would definitely run the highest octane of gas you can. Even a stock truck benefits greatly from just 93 vs 87 octane fuel I would at least run 91 on the 91 map. If you have E85 available at your pump you can run 30% E content & run the E30 map for a ton more power
No. Really the only down side to the JB4. BUT not sure what year vehicle you have, the newer 10 speeds are great. I honestly haven’t been bothered w/ the stock tuning.
You can get an ANCEL FD700 and reset the transmission learning/shifting on it whenever you need, instead of taking to a dealer. They’re like a 180$. One of those and jb4 are great
Sport Mode forces my Ranger into full rev cycles. Though the 10 speed with jump gears. The trade off it is worth it. If you wanna to tune it later with a ECU, the JB4 can still be piggybacked. Great feature. you'll spend $1200-1500 and some serious time setting all the tunes via ECU, and still me the monitoring.
I'm getting the Fuel It Flexfuel Kit soon. Do your homework if you are thing about it. It seems scamming but In reality there is good intention. You can pair it with the JB4 for better tune monitoring. The JB4 has a E85 sensor but it is not very accurate. SO, if you don't buy the Fuelt-It BT analyzer it will be off by a much at 10% points in either directions. However, the Fuel-IT sensor is much better and feeds that to the JB4. Many people are confused bc they think the Fuel-it is getting the correct number but the JB4 wrong. JB4 it is getting the the correct info from the Fuel-it analyzer. I am not associated with the company. Just a owner who took the hard way to find the correct answer. The folks at Burger motorsports seem to say aftermarket Flexfuel sensors are not that important if you mix your fuel properly and correct Map. For the money, I wanna know. I run E30 bc it is much better than a 93 for power. Plus, it runs cooler and cleaner!! From my research it is basically running like Race fuel with Water/meth Injection.

Yes. the App is eye candy after you set the tune. Once it is set, it stays set until you change it.
Can u use the jb4 app on 2 separate vehicles with a jb4? My 22 wrx has a jb4 and im thinking of putting a jb4 on my 2020 2.7 f150

@@TwinzOnlyexactly why I'm goin jb4 I have 34k miles once I hit 60k ill be goin cobb
@@whiteoutram0516 same here! I have ~10k more miles till I’m shipping my ecu off to ZFG
Thanks for the video I just bought at JB4.
Can I run 87 octane? If so will i just not get the top performance?
I would definitely run the highest octane of gas you can. Even a stock truck benefits greatly from just 93 vs 87 octane fuel

If you have E85 available at your pump you can run 30% E content & run the E30 map for a ton more power
So on map 4 you run 3/4 93 and 1/4 E85
is the truck stock and you're running e85? just curious as I live in the midwest and we had it everywhere
Yes! If you want to run the E30 or E50 map you can mix E85 w/ 91/93 & get your E50 mixture. Completely stock fuel system, motor, & trans. Just the JB4
Did you disconnect the battery when you installed?
Yes, it recommends that you do. Very easy installation
Does the JB4 help at all with the transmissions shifting?
No. Really the only down side to the JB4. BUT not sure what year vehicle you have, the newer 10 speeds are great. I honestly haven’t been bothered w/ the stock tuning.

Do you ever use map 3 with 93 octane?
I’ve done it just to see what happens but the truck doesn’t like it. You can tell you need to run higher fuel content.
Please take this girl to the 1/4 mile!
Unfortunately there are no tracks close w/ a 1/4 mile… I will do a draggy 0-60 & 1/8th mile video as soon as the weather is below 100 degrees everyday
