Thanks for documenting all those Blue Bonnets and War Bonnets! They seem so rare today it's almost hard to believe there was a time when they ruled the rails. And that Brach's Candy boxcar, I didn't even know they existed at all. 👍
Love it. 30 years ago.. Awesome , it's funny we may have crossed path's racing up and down Holiday!!! What a great video of the past. thank you so much . Dash 9s Geep's and SDs What else is there to say!!! 😎😎😎
Boy that sure brought memories back Turner Depot where we got our paperwork and the yard job switching the strip tracks making up pickups and west bound trains. I used to catch this shutdown to okc might have a half dozen cars for the gm plant at Flynn in okc always a good trip to Ark City. 1994 the year after the big flood if I remember correctly the put the dikes across the tracks at turner and shut the place down for a while can’t remember how many days. Those were the good times to be an engineer before all the Ptc crap and trip optimizers cameras and such. We were running 3 pools westbound Wellington Newton and Ark City Inter division runs.
I see Amtrak Genesis 801 at 5:42. That engine was recently rebuilt and repainted in Keewatin Railway Company colors and renumbered from 801 to 2506.
Wow how it looked so different back then. Intermodal facility is in Edgerton now
Excellent vintage yard action footage!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸

Outstanding!
ATSF was smart to merge with BN in 95-96. It's a good match.

I count six different 45's of various variants.
Back in a time when trains “had character” …
Loving this old footage.
Very nice stuff...The red on the warbonnet engines has completely faded to pink now..
