I'm having a extention done the bathroom floor is timber. Do I need underlay before I lay the lvt flooring? Also if ground is concrete is underlay needed?
Hey, I don't know if you can help. We're currently trying to lay laminate tounge in groove herringbone flooring but are having some problems. When we do one row, it's fine, but when we try to connect 2 rows, were faced with trying to apply planks into a tounge and a groove for one plank. So it has to go under and over at the same time. How do we get around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I hope that's all made sense, it's hard to explain! Thanks!
Hi there! Is this your avarage laminate flooring or is it made specifically for the herringbone shape? Or can I use any laminate flooring for herringbone shape?
Hi there herringbone laminate floors come in left and right faced boards so they can be installed in a herringbone pattern. So it is not possible to used normal laminate plank in a herringbone pattern.
@@V4WoodFlooringV4 hi great video thank you. Please can you tell me why kitchen would need fitting first before the floating floor as I was going to do floor first
Hi there it’s our Woods Good EcoGold that comes with a gold or sometimes silver vapour barrier which is backed onto 3mm of cushioning high density recycled crumb rubber
@@V4WoodFlooringV4 The vapour barrier should always be against the floor. This is basic stuff. www.interfloor.com/installation-methods/ www.bestlaminate.com/blog/how-to-install-vapor-3-in-1-silver-underlayment/
@@KeithChegwin24 hi there not the case with Wood’s Good EcoGold which is laid rubber side down so the vapour barrier is cushioned and protected from damage.
You alright mate, just a quick question because the flooring is 640mm long and 143mm wide people have told me that the flooring should go into itself if you know what I mean ? The 143mm in width should go into the length at an equal number for it to work for herringbone or am I completely wrong
With Some of our engineered wood herringbone floors the length is divisible by the width and they can be installed in various pattern. This floor is only installed as a herringbone so the the length and width dimensions don’t matter, it is just down to aesthetics.
Hi Julius, There are always some pros and cons and with this lock system which is extremely strong and to install you should factor in around 15- 20 % wastage depending on the width of your start wall.
Hi there it’s definitely a herringbone patter where the boards connect and overlap at right angles. We also sell chevron floors from our engineered hardwood collections. Chevron floors have a distinctive angled header which forms a distinctive arrow shaped laying pattern, hope this helps.
Wouldn't it be lovely if all rooms were this shape.
Thanks for this video, just finding out that there are left and right pieces solved our laying dilemma!
lol, came here to say the same thing.
How many pack for one large room
Should the underlay be foil down & not facing?
Great video. Had a question about why you aren't using glue or when do you need to use glue for flooring? Thanks
This is a click in floor so won't need glue with it
@matthewstevenson3002 thanks for your reply

You need to hire someone who knows how to lay a floor no point spending all the money to have it look amateurish
Really beautiful. Would like to know how to calculate how much flooring is needed.
@Gian Ferrari Thanks! This is really beautiful and I'm going to send my helper this video.
Hi Michelle with this particular floor 20% is safe. The other comments are correct for most floors

Can you do one for the frozen umber with adhesive please?
We are planning to film a hole series including, one with Zigzag and subfloor prep. As soon as we can safely film again you will see it here👍
Which come 1st, install cabinet or this flooring?
Hi there as this floor is floated on an underlay heavy static furniture such as kitchen units should be installed first 👍
Ok. Thanks for the tip

hi mate the aluminum flooring should have be upside down
Hi there, no in fact the it is fitter rubber side down which cushions the aluminium to stop it tearing. The foil is a vapour barrier.

I have purchased laminate herringbone flooring, but they don't appear to have left/right pieces, they're all the same... Does that still work?

Nice, but too complicated.
Подложка толстая.
This time I will do it manually with the help of Woodprix designs.
