I was so pleasantly surprised. I feel like crimes like these need to be covered and made public, but ALWAYS with empathy and compassion for the victims and their families. Kudos to this news outlet for doing their job respectfully
Kudos to news crews with the compassion to treat victims with dignity and not just act like ghouls looking to make a sound byte. I hope these two learn the true meaning of suffering in times to come.
I’d heard about this over the last few years, bc it was just so horrific, & bc I’ve got friends that live in Hawaii. But I didn’t know Kevin was his twin. That just... I need to go hug my cat.
I grew up on the North Shore, in Pūpūkea specifically and knew Telma personally. This was hard to watch, but I appreciate the respect you’ve shown to our home and to Telma and her family.
This is sad. She seems like a kind and generous person who was just taking care of her family and who was taken by these degenerate, miscreants much too soon.
Update about Hailey Dandurand's Trial: Less than two full days after getting the case, jurors came back with a verdict in the Hailey Dandurand trial, finding her guilty of the murder, in the second degree, of Telma Boinville. She was also found guilty on two counts of kidnapping, burglary, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and unauthorized possession of confidential, personal information.
@@pppupooI’m glad they both got life. I thought this would be one of those cases where the man gets life but the woman gets around 5 years. Glad to see them both get locked up for good.
The brother in law’s video literally made me cry out loud. Having experienced the murder of my sister, I understand his pain. It’s unbearable and makes you totally desperate to feel something other than grief, anything 😢 Praying that this family has found comfort in one another.
Im so sorry for what happened to your sister and im sorry for your lost. Praying that you would also find comfort and strength from what you're going through.
Thanks to everyone expressing their condolences. I didn’t intend to take focus away from Telma and her daughter. Just saying, I get it and it’s f*cked. There’s a special kind of hellfire and brimstone for the people who did this 😢
I am a witness in this trial. Shortly before they were arrested, Stephen approached my friend and I in a movie theater in the same vicinity as their arrest. Stephen was persistent on having my friend and I sneak him and Hailey into a movie. After we denied him, he gave me a high five with his hand that had dry blood on it. I provided a statement at Stephens trial in January, and also at Haileys trial a few days ago. I hope they both get life behind bars. Justice for Telma and her ohana ❤
Meu Deus moça vc poderia ter o mesmo destino dela, q assustador. Lamento pelo ocorrido o Brasil quer justiça, q eles passem td a vida deles atrás das grades
That brother-in-laws cry is literally the sound of a heart breaking. Made me bawl like a baby. Thank you for another great video. Rest in Peace Telma. I hope her poor daughter can overcome this.
Yeah that video split my heart in two. The absolute raw pain in his voice is gut wrenching. I know what it feels like for someone you love to be senselessly, needlessly murdered. I know that scream, that cry. Just pure grief. I wish him, and his brother the husband, and the poor daughter who was tormented and tied up by the killers- I wish for healing and peace to touch all three of them, and everyone else who loved Telma and was affected by her murder.
Reminds me of me when my niece got raped I found out who done it since she couldn't tell me her self went to the families home kicked the door down with his mother under it walked straight In went to the disgusting cunts bedroom kicked that door down jumped straight over his bed smashed in his face threw him through his own sliding door window and I aggressively threw him straight off his 2 story balcony in to the garden and cops turned up just as I was ready to leave got out of my truck and attacked the police officer and Broke his jaw and got arrested on the spot the amount of damage I have done was like aye pitbull attack arrested for lawful damage to property, bodily harm to two males, accidentally injuring aye female and trespassing on private property but I was released on the same day by my uncle as he was a police officer and knew how pissed I was so instead I got aye 3000 dollar fine and 6 months on aye bracelet I don't regret what I did but I regret hurting the mother in the process which I did apologize and my niece was not happy with me at the time but where ok now 🤦💪👊
I am actually from North Shore, I lived about a mile away from where this happened. I grew up being friends with the husband’s little sister. This murder absolutely rocked my small town. It was so horrific and Thelma was such a sweet lady, we were all so sad for their family. The murders deserve the absolute longest sentence possible for this disgustingly evil act.
Hi Kaili 😀 This is a horrible tragedy. Our little North Shore community never had crimes like this when we were growing up there. I knew the Emery family pretty well too. I was on Kevin's soccer team . Hope your doing well, miss you!!!! *Stevie
Telma's murder was so senseless and tragic, and the trauma her little daughter had to endure that day is unimaginable. All those two evil thugs had to do was run away. The worse they could have gotten if caught was breaking and entering. I hope they get life in prison without the possibility of parole because they are a danger to society. RIP, Telma. Prayers of healing for the family.
It’s like every single step was pointlessly cruel. They could have run from the house instead of killing telma, they could’ve just left after they killed her and not further traumatized her daughter, but they chose to tell her they’d killed her mother and then take her inside and tie her up. Shit, they might’ve even avoided being caught if they’d not let the daughter see them and just left. Also would be wise to not write your name with her blood at the scene of the crime?
Just horrible thing for Telma and her daughter. 😢 That poor girl will never be the same. The only saving grace seems to be she has family who really cares for her and loves her dearly. She's going to need it.
The way he acts like he regrets it while talking in the trial, but there is nothing but pride in his eyes. Absolutely vile pair they deserve to rot in a cell for the rest of their lives. The unle's cries absolutely broke my heart bro
God hearing his cries sent bad shivers down my spine and just that shit hurt... He was in pure hell in that moment and I hope to God he healed even a little bit.
@@KatherineLaura6564 honestly! Especially the idolisation of serial killers and murderers that a large part of the Internet does nowadays, its like some killers expect praise because of how desensitised society seems to be
I feel so bad for the daughter especially having to have gone through that experience. That photo that her father shared really shows that she has inherited a lot of her mother's features, especially that big smile. I hope she is able to live a happy life despite what she and her family has gone through.
Shit made me cry hard ... like people need to see that and understand that . I wish I could make that video play in that dudes jail cell for ever while he sits in there.
Two sadistic psychopaths who found each other and fell in love with each other, then killed just for the hell of it. I reckon had the brother-in-law of Telma gotten hold of this pair he would've torn them to shreds and deservedly so. Monsters indeed. RIP Telma. Makana is a strong young lady. Condolences to her loved ones.
As someone from Hawaii, THANK YOU for showcasing this. We really don’t see many cases from Hawaii being shared. This one was a huge hit to the community and the fact it’s still an ongoing court case is horrible. May those two who took a life never get to live theirs comfortably. If you have time, please look up Peter Boy Kema and possibly cover his story in a video. He’s been missing in Hawaii since 1997 and to this day has never been found. Only in recent years were his parents FINALLY convicted of his murder after it was proven they abused him for years, but Peter Boy’s body has never been recovered and likely never will as the parents claim they dumped him in the ocean all those years ago. The mother died in 2019 and the father is currently serving a 20 year (yep, 20) sentence. Very tragic story but Peter Boy deserves his story to be told.
@@questionablebackyardmeows I wasn't talking about Hawaii. I was talking about american army personnel murdering people all over the globe and be revered as heroes and patriots. Funny how that works isn't it?
@@mezjean5966 don't pretend the human race is not a murdering species of people. Your people murder as well. And the fact is anybody who is unlawfully killing someone, taking an innocent life without legal justification is committing murder but that doesn't make them all the same as these two psychopaths. If you can watch this and justify it with your BS comment you are a sick scumbag.
4:55 I paused at the “Maybe one day I won’t feel so chained to my desk” part to say - we will love you even when you take breaks, Adrian! Burnout happens even when you’re doing what you love, and it does sneak up on you. No chaining yourself to your desk buddy 🧡
It was truly painful to just watch…can’t even begin to imagine how much pain he was feeling. Heart wrenching. God I hope that family is able to find a bit of peace after all this. Somehow.
Super sad story. I’m from Hawaii and lived on the north shore for 30 years. This was a tragedy and those 2 thugs got what they deserved and probably deserved more punishment. I’m glad you covered it because it was a big deal on the island for how brutal the murder was.
The brother's pain was palpable. People don't think of all the people they destroy when they commit senseless acts like this. You can't fix people like this. Throw away the whole couple. 🗑️
Its not that they don't think of it, its that even if they did they simply would not care anyway. Thats why victim impact statements are kind of stupid...the perpetrator doesn't give a flying fck and it probably actually makes most of them giddy
@@jennag3226 I believe victim impact statements are more to persuade the judge, in regard to sentencing. However, I totally agree with your statement that the defendant can usually care less.
Yes victim impact is not about the murderer. I wish evil people didn't exist but they do. There is not much way to even measure how much a victim statement impacts murderers because many times even their tears are for themselves.
Her brother-in-law's video was absolutely soul shattering...especially the scream at the end. I can't even begin to imagine the anger and pain he must have been feeling.
Coffeehouse crime giving an elaborate vivid description on how beautiful and wonderful a place is before describing the most horrific crimes committed there.
Hawaii is a beautiful place. It’s nice he gives us all this info so we can really get a feel for exactly what happened and why. Plus, it’s always nice to learn something new about a state/country etc. Murderers don’t discriminate so unfortunately it can happen anywhere to anyone.
I don’t think one should be predicated by the other at all. Maybe you’re making a joke? If so i didn’t see the humour so I’m just commenting on the reality of it.
I went to school with Haley, she was my friends friend, she was extremely quiet, I remember when she went missing in school everyone from that circle were posting about it, but I know a lot of people drifted from her after… I tried talking to her but she seemed extremely shy… so weird to reflect on the path she chose
@A_Nameless_Ghoul3301 she definitely seemed to cling to people because of being shy I could see that! But it could have also been the girls I knew were just sweet and made sure to include her in everything they did... I haven't talked to them since school but I always wondered what they thought of this
Out of all the cases, this was one of the most heartbreaking to watch. I simply can’t imagine how traumatic it must be for an 8 year old girl to a few feet away from her mother being murdered and then confronted by those murderers. I really hope Makana and her father are doing alright now. May Telma rest in peace.
I had to pause so I could recover from listening to her annoying laugh. On a serious note, I cannot believe how sad this story is. My heart breaks for her family. What a raw message from the uncle :(
It’s shocking when you understand what goes on in certain individuals lives when it comes to stuff like this. Absolutelt terrible. No innocent bystander should have to go through any horrible incident(s) like this. With that, I’m absolutely loving the quality and thought put into the video! Keep up the amazing work! I’ve seen many other true crime based channels and they are pretty good, I will concede. But there’s something about yours that makes it… unique and makes me more likely to want to watch. Your content is great and I can see the upgrade(s) that your channel went through over the time since the beginning. I genuinely hope/pray that your growth only accelerates from here with the Coffehouse Crime Club! Love to y’all!
Wow, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it 🙏 always trying to take my content up a level! I’ve got lots of cool things on the way, some starting very soon… be sure to check next week’s video 👀
I'm in tears.. that hit so close to home... The fact that she's also Brazilian, so close in age to my mother, sharing the same name as her, and being kind and loving towards everyone made my heart break so much 😢 may she rest in peace. My condolences to her loved ones.
That poor little girl must have been terrified. I'm not surprised the 2 monsters turned on each other. They purportedly wanted to die, but had to take an innocent person first. This world is really a frightening place.
@@giantmanice honestly it sounds to me they probably genuinely wanted to die by suicide by cop to get the attention for the murders and also die so they don’t have to face the consequences and that backfired when they didn’t get shot on scene
There is much evil in the world, but let's not forget that there is also much in the way of beauty and goodness so that we don't lose heart! Go watch a sunset, treat others with kindness, and enjoy the simple pleasures that life has to offer.
For anyone wondering how the father could forgive the killers. Its something you learn in therapy, I strongly suspect he didnt do it for them, he did it for himself to not give them any more energy with hateing them.
EXACTLY! Hating someone takes so damn much energy, and causes so much pain, that it's not sustainable. I think more people need to understand that forgiveness really is never for the person that caused the pain; it's for the people that endured it. Forgiveness tends to be the only way many people can start to truly heal and let go. Those that inflict so much pain do not deserve the precious energy it takes to keep tending that weed of hate.
I have no idea why some people think the opposite of forgiveness is hate. I would never be able to "forgive" my mother's killers and I'd still be able to go through life sleeping well, living well, I simply wouldn't betray anyone I loved that way.
This story kind of scared me a bit because when I visited Hawaii I stayed on the North shore and loved it, I just hitchhiked my way around. I enjoy the surf and the cliff divers that were doing incredible stunts. I also enjoyed the dance, the music, the singing and the fact that the islanders were so very generous with sharing their heritage to us tourists.
axel tried to turn on his girlfriend but he signed his name in the victim's blood and bragged to a child that he and his gf killed her mother. so no, I don't believe he ever intended to let Telma go.
I worked at a convenience store and these two would come in frequently. When this happened it was heartbreaking. Thinking back to those days they always gave off a very off putting energy. Knowing I had interactions with such evil haunts me to this day.
I worked with a guy that would go on to kill his pregnant ex. At the time my girlfriend was pregnant and it made me feel the most gut wrenching “for what. Why?” Type of feeling.
The brother in law broke my heart, he was so upset, angry and probably feels extremely helpless, all because of 2 selfish, spoilt and uncaring brats who think it's all a bit of of a joke.
Can't help but think hes a tweaker. Hope he and his brother have better days ahead. Although I guess that won't be that hard, can't get worse than the day the poor woman was killed. Also, as big of POS's these two are and all the words to describe them, I wouldn't call them brats. It implies that they were in some way spoiled or had it easy. Doesn't excuse what they did, but it doesn't fit them either.
Calling them brats is really dismissing the backstory of how they ended up capable of such a heinous act. This was a build up of years of anger. But yeah, the brother-in-law's video was gut wrenching. 💔
Steven clown- I mean -brown and Hailey dandruff -I mean -Duran Had me in stitches. I love how respectful Adrian is to the victims and their family while sliding in these little gems
Yep - little gems indeed. Brown's mother searching for her 'boy' when he's 21 years old made me shake my head. If only she had looked after him properly when he needed her, he MAY not have turned into this repulsive psychopath 🤷 A mother's love & care is so important. As for Hailey - obviously a wallflower that felll for the guy with the false charm .. What in the world will her schoolma'm mother be 💬 Ng of her? It's just outrageous that these two depraved delinquents were capable of causing so much harm and destroying a wonderful family. My heart bleeds for Telma, her husband & her daughter
@@VioletJoy Oh come on - it's OK to poke fun at those two whacko cretins!! I nearly died laughing too at the 'clown' and 'dandruff' comments....Some light relief from the hideousness of what they were capable of doing to two other human beings. A little fun poked at them isn't at all out of place.
@violetjoy7010 that's exactly what I thought. Seemed like a childish move. Small things like this made me choose not to be a subscriber anymore. Would prefer to just stick to the facts.
I actually met "Axel" in Waikiki in 2016. Me and a few guys were having some drinks on the beach and he just rolled up stating he was on acid. He hung out for a while before passing out on the sand. It was a strange interaction for sure. I knew something was off about this guy. It's so crazy how life works. Sad.
So, most likely, they were on drugs. Not "normal" behavior in the FB post either. I wonder, haven't they been checked when arrested? Many violent crimes are committed under drug influence. :(
You choose to take the drugs, like a loaded gun, you are completely responsible. Bad childhoods no excuse. Most people who have had bad childhoods don't kill.
Agreed. Would have saved many people a lot of heartache in court having to hear the gruesome story. Not to mention that even in prison, they'll live better than homeless people. On our tax dollars. I hope the daughter doesn't have lifelong issues and that things fade for her as she gets older.
Seconds into seeing/hearing/feeling his plea, my stomach literally churned and I had to pause to throw up. That poor man's anguish. Telma sounds like the kind of soul who would've let these two go if they'd just said they'd broken in to find booze. She probably would've restocked any missing items and left it at that. Instead, this happened. Sickening 😢
He was so Angry! I hope he gets his Ultimate Revenge on those USELESS and NON EXISTING ANIMALS!! That CLOWN's LIFE is NOTHING compared to a TRASH. Trash are more VALUABLE than him! He's so STUPID!
I don't think they had intentions of killing themselves. It was obviously for sick attention. If they had true intent they wouldn't publish a video on social media smiling about the idea of committing suicide. Even when they were caught by Authorities telling them to shoot and kill them they knew there were cameras and were doing it for show. They even had opportunities to kill themselves in prison for 5 years if they were truly sincere about killing themselves yet they sure are adamant about avoiding the consequences of the heinous crimes they were so proud of,even at the time of arrest.
Wow! This tragedy touched my heart on another level! I lived in Honolulu (in the Kalihi area) from 2006-2014. Rarely, do you hear or see something like this happening in Oahu because, the crime rate there is very low compared to the"mainland". To be honest, this is my first time hearing about this tragedy. My heart goes out to Telma's daughter and the rest of her Ohana. R.I.P.😢🙏
Makana is so strong and looks so much like her mother. I hope she and her Father and extended family take solace in the memories of Telma. She was a bright light, taken way too soon. May her murderers rot, wishing for a quick end they were too cowardly to follow through with on their own. For decades.
I’m a Native Hawaiian, and I used to live on Oahu. Although I’ll always love Hawaii and the Aloha spirit, I can say life there wasn’t as idyllic as it sounds. Mostly because the locals are being priced out of Hawaii. We left because we couldn’t afford it anymore, and I know we’re not the only ones. The divide between the rich and the poor is extremely obvious in Hawaii, because most of the population is either rich or in poverty, with no in between. It’s a beautiful place, but I doubt I’ll ever see it again. All that said, thank you for covering this case. I feel so awful for the victim and her family, especially her daughter. The brother in law’s video brought tears to my eyes, too. But I’m thankful that the killers were caught so quickly. What a nightmare this must have been to experience. Also, kudos to the news team for leaving when asked to by the family. It didn’t surprise me, because that’s very much the way of life there, but it was nice to see. And thank you for being so respectful of the family as well.
Im glad you did it so I wouldn’t repeat it. Lifestyle looks good on the outside looking in but it can be very dark and extremely cliquey. The elitism in Hawaii is disgusting and the locals are cursed with unconditional optimism which is directed towards a government that doesn’t care about them. I know a lady who is from Hawai’i and said she gets treated like a a tourist whenever she goes “home”. It’s a sad situation, I hope you and your family well.
That video is extremely terrifying and eerie. Purely evil act from two sadistic and monstrous individuals and completely destroyed a community in Hawaii that didn't deserve it.
Yep. The couple that slays together does not stay together. But also, maybe don’t write your own name at the crime scene and confess to the victim’s daughter if you don’t want to be found guilty… couple of little shits.
Damn dude, I'm usually pretty desensitized to these types of things; but the brother in laws video pleading and offering 100,000 for info on the killers made me cry a bit. Ik how he feels.
I was sad but normal-sad of watching these true crime vids until his last scream of just pure pain. That hit hard. His loss, his *twin* brother's loss and his horror for what has happened to his niece and her loss. In a scream. Devastating.
Thank you for covering this case. This brought our entire state to our knees. Things like this don't happen often here so this hit everyone like a ton of bricks. Our islands are small and tight knit with everyone having a connection to everyone through someone. You showed so much compassion and love in your video and I really appreciate that. I know you mentioned you wanting kona coffee, id love to send you some if thats something I can send to the UK.
I’m from Hawaii. Growing up in Hawaii was the best childhood I could ever ask for. Hawaii is super expensive because it’s so isolated and everything has to be shipped in. Hawaii has changed a lot with the flood of drugs and the high cost of housing but it’s still a beautiful place and the people still have the Aloha spirit. It’s so sad what happened.
I assume u.s citizens can automatically live there without applying for visas - maybe some sort of border controls would be beneficial to the country and its people..
I am a student of anthropology and when you said "How these people managed to navigate without technology is beyond me" I was reminded of a documentary i saw. It was about Polynesian culture whose citizens could navigate the oceans using the stars. They can travel long distances this way even today. I wish I could remember the name of the community. There are probably lots of living peoples who still have this kind of esoteric knowledge.
Actually even deeper research reveals that they used sea-faring birds to find other land/islands - they would follow the birds knowing they were traveling somewhere significant - but the amazing thing is they would pick up the trail as they couldn’t obviously keep up with the birds so these routes would be continued by subsequent generations as it would take years and years to make the complete voyage Just lends more evidence to the fact that these were some seriously gifted sea-goers.
ThNk you for covering Telma’s story! ♥️ She was such a. Sweet lady! We live on the North Shore still and the elementary school she worked at still has a huge banner that reads “Justice for Telma!” Across the gate at the entrance ♥️💔 crazy that this was so close to home!
Its wild seeing this on your channel. I was down there in mililani when these two were arrested. The entire island's social media was actually blowing up with people out to find them, and I remember seeing all of the information going around on facebook and instagram. I ended up going out and was confused when I heard a group of angry people shouting "THATS HIM" and "GET HIM" and stuff like that, the size of the crowd was huge and I couldnt even see them on the floor being arrested. To say their town banded together is an understatement and it almost felt like the whole island was out on a hunt for them.
Dude I adore the little subtle pops you have at the criminals sometimes. This is my new 2nd favorite, my first is on the Scandinavian Death Metal murder when you said "Varg argued... he Vargued". Beautiful intelligent comedy, which we need sometimes with some of these cases
Mahalo nui loa for covering this case! Our recent violent crimes have become disturbingly frequent and I think it's important to bring light to senseless cases like this one. Adrian, sending lotsa love & aloha from Kaimukī to you & your entire ohana! 😁🤙🏾 ♥️🌈☀️
I'm so done with people, I don't understand why they even exist. What is in their brain to make them do this kind of vile horrible crime. Sending all the good vibes, hopefully her daughter is doing OK today.
May I suggest watching some "feel good" videos of positive human interactions...I understand what you mean generally speaking. For every bad act I believe there is a good one being performed.
I lived with my brother who was in the Army at Schofield Barracks on Oahu in 2000 for 6 months. It was wild, no place like it. The air smelled differently, the soil was red and clay-like, the trees had the most glorious green, and the oceans had this deep aqua color. It was grand, I miss it.
These days, with the internet, if you follow murder cases you see so much severe mental illness out there. If I have a small argument with someone at work, I'm a mess for a week about it. these people have some element missing from their brain that allows them to not feel empathy. It's very scary.

Then why do you watch these? And why are they on here? Because it's not the NORM, it's the EXCEPTION. It would be PRETTY BORING watching an average day in a family of normal people. Your channel is my new favorite by far!!! Your calming voice, the respect and compassion you show for the victims and their families and friends and community is outstanding ❤ Your amazing research , setting the story in to context with telling about the place where it happened and the family background- just everything along with the perfection in the production - it’s all amazingly well done. My deepest respect for the fantastic job you are doing❤ Love from Norway
Your TH-cam channel is seriously one of my absolute favorites! I just wanted to say thank you for another amazing video, even though it covered yet another horrible murder case. Your narration is always so calm and collected, which makes it all the more eerie and captivating. But seriously, what is it with these brutal murders that seem to involve couples?! It's like something out of a horror movie! I mean, you'd expect that at least one of the people in the relationship would be able to keep the other one from going off the deep end, right? But it seems like it's often the complete opposite, with these couples being responsible for some of the most sickening and twisted crimes out there. It's just so baffling to me, and it makes me wonder about the true nature of human relationships. Anyway, keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait to see what you cover next!
What a tragic story, it always amazes me how these people find each other and create such evil and in people so young. The pain in her brother in laws voice and face is heartbreaking I truly hope her family have been able to find some peace As always Adrian has done a great job with great detail and respect for the victims thank you for sharing this poor woman's story x
The Brother in laws video pleading for information and offering money was so hard to watch, he was so distraught😭 I hope her daughter is healing well, she looks just like her mom and ik it’s hard to deal with the situation she was placed in. The killers should have life with no parole, but I’m sure with the girl going down the toxic relationship made me do it. She will most likely get less, let’s hope not😞

Yep. Absolutely pointless. Both deserve to do the rest of the time they have left in prison.
Did you see their dead eyes? They wanted to do something cruel. Then they asked the police to kill them. I'd be happy to grant that request.
People don't want to believe it but this is the definition of true life demons. Their intent is to create pain and destruction, no real reason needed.
Just horrible thing for Telma and her daughter. 😢 That poor girl will never be the same. The only saving grace seems to be she has family who really cares for her and loves her dearly. She's going to need it.

She seems like the type of girl who could be easily manipulated and couldn’t ever make decisions on her own. This case proves me right.
@A_Nameless_Ghoul3301 she definitely seemed to cling to people because of being shy I could see that!
As you programm yourself: to give or to recieve energy
yeah i hate hateing people that are hateing somebody who wronged them. all this hateing must stop.
I have no idea why some people think the opposite of forgiveness is hate. I would never be able to "forgive" my mother's killers and I'd still be able to go through life sleeping well, living well, I simply wouldn't betray anyone I loved that way.

Im glad you did it so I wouldn’t repeat it. Lifestyle looks good on the outside looking in but it can be very dark and extremely cliquey. I was sad but normal-sad of watching these true crime vids until his last scream of just pure pain. That hit hard. His loss, his *twin* brother's loss and his horror for what has happened to his niece and her loss. In a scream. Devastating.
Same. 😢
@@Melesse636 yeah anyone that didn’t feel that, seriously lacks empathy. That was primal.
Oh my gosh. The brother in law. That was utterly heartbreaking. The very beginning was *creepy*
Homicidal psychopaths usually are.
"...the family asked for privacy so we left..."
That should happen far more often. Kudos to that reporter.
Its does, but then people like you screech and scream about "missing white girl syndrome" lol
Are you white? Experience any racism?
It must have been heavenly before damn drugs ruined so many beautiful people & things.
I assume u.s citizens can automatically live there without applying for visas - maybe some sort of border controls would be beneficial to the country and its people..
@@markturner977 border controls... around.. the ocean????
@@markturner977 yeah, there should be but the US loves exploiting and oppressing Hawaii so it'll never happen :/
I highly appreciate additions like "killer" in license plates, Clown and Dandruff. Great video as always, thanks for brightening my day!
Actually even deeper research reveals that they used sea-faring birds to find other land/islands - they would follow the birds knowing they were traveling somewhere significant - but the amazing thing is they would pick up the trail as they couldn’t obviously keep up with the birds so these routes would be continued by subsequent generations as it would take years and years to make the complete voyage
Just lends more evidence to the fact that these were some seriously gifted sea-goers.
People travelled the entire globe for thousands and thousands of years without ‘technology’ and yes, they navigated via the stars.
ANCIENT EXPLORERS NAVIGATED BY THE STARS.
And followed the trade winds.
@levek5806came here to say that. The stars are real and constellations are real. Navigation through stars is a survival skill not esoteric.
@Levek the word esoteric means understood by few with specialized knowledge. Yes, it is esoteric
ThNk you for covering Telma’s story! ♥️ She was such a. Sweet lady! We live on the North Shore still and the elementary school she worked at still has a huge banner that reads “Justice for Telma!” Across the gate at the entrance ♥️💔 crazy that this was so close to home!
I do love how much shade you throw at the criminals. Makes me chuckle between the horrific details.
RIP to this beautiful lady
He overdoes it to the point that it sounds childish, sorry.
@@mikoshmitty you're the childish here ,sorry not sorry 🖕
Relieved the girl wasn't physically harmed. But heck, losing your mom like this...
Yeah, the mental scars will be forever. :(
Its wild seeing this on your channel.
I’m glad to hear that Makawao and her dad are doing well. I’m sure her mom is very proud of her daughter testifying against her killers
This left our community utterly heartbroken. Thank you for giving light to the ugly things that happen here.
Mahalo nui loa for covering this case! Our recent violent crimes have become disturbingly frequent and I think it's important to bring light to senseless cases like this one.
Adrian, sending lotsa love & aloha from Kaimukī to you & your entire ohana! 😁🤙🏾 ♥️🌈☀️
I really appreciate you take the time to remember her, and mention the gofundme for support. The stories you tell are done with care and grace.
I'm so done with people, I don't understand why they even exist. What is in their brain to make them do this kind of vile horrible crime. Sending all the good vibes, hopefully her daughter is doing OK today.
I agree. I cannot fathom what goes through a persons head why they decide to take someone’s life. It hurts my heart
@@Trippybunni I bet that if you had the chance to kill a child abuser, you'd become a hypocrite!
Maybe you should Kill them
Why do people exist?
On the flip side, having too much empathy can be just as detrimental to one's mental health.
I'm not sure what that has to do with "these days," murder involving a mentally ill person is even more taboo and easy to sensationalize.
@@5h4d0w5l1f3 The point is you can view slews of YT vids on murders when years ago you'd likely have never heard of them.
@@josephconsoli4128 no,true crime has always been popular.i grew up before internet was a thing n used to get books from the library on serial killers n murderers all with crimescene photos as a child.

I think sharing your personality in the video and what you personally think about these criminals (scumbags) makes this channel all the more better.
Meh. I wish he’d stick to the story. I don’t watch this stuff to hear people go on about themselves. No disrespect meant, just a preference
i agree. and the moment where he ''accidentally '' said their names wrong made me chuckle
The puns though.
Steven ‘Clown’
Hailey ‘Dandruff’
You should look into some of the children that go missing in national parks in North America. It’s very interesting and there’s a lot of cases out there that haven’t been covered by anyone on YT yet. Thank you for the great consistent content!
I don't understand why some people get thrilled by hurting others . The cry of the uncle and him offering what he had really broke my heart 😢.

The uncles rage brought tears to my eyes. Prayers to the family ❤
The opening immediately put a lump in my throat, not just the words, but her laugh made the back of my neck hairs stand on end, already going to say prayers to her family,… And another great important upload from you Adrian, 👍🏻👍🏻thank you.✌🏻💕😻
This is devastating. Prayers to Telma’s family. RIP Telma.
I cannot imagine what Telma went through in her final moments. I hope she's at rest and watching over her beautiful daughter ❤
I just heard of her case but not in detail like this and it’s honestly way worse when you hear the story really broken down smh 🤦♀️ everyday I lose hope in humanity more and more 😢
Then why do you watch these? And why are they on here? Because it's not the NORM, it's the EXCEPTION. It would be PRETTY BORING watching an average day in a family of normal people.
It sounds like you have Depression.
I have had it on and off for 40 years and it's the assumption I would have made during one of my bouts.
If you need help, get it.
God bless
Please keep us updated about this case. This truly makes me sick
I’ve watched all eps and am now rewatching. I must have missed the ending on my first watch. It’s so nice of you to post the donation link. This should happen more on true crime docuseries
Man, that roar. Shivers. You can definitely feel the pain of loss and sadness. That got to me. I hope the culprit suffer more.
This was hard to watch as is and as always Adrian, you handled this with such class and care. Idk why but at the end when you highlighted the Godundme it broke me completely, I started crying at the restaurant I'm at. Thank you for caring brother! It's a small gesture that probably means the world to the family
Your channel is my new favorite by far!!!
Your calming voice, the respect and compassion you show for the victims and their families and friends and community is outstanding ❤
Your amazing research , setting the story in to context with telling about the place where it happened and the family background- just everything along with the perfection in the production - it’s all amazingly well done.
My deepest respect for the fantastic job you are doing❤
Love from Norway
Thank you so much Malina! And welcome on board! ☕️ :)
Well said Malina ! Here here! You are fantastic at what you do Adrian ⭐️
The pain in her brother in laws voice and face is heartbreaking I truly hope her family have been able to find some peace
As always Adrian has done a great job with great detail and respect for the victims thank you for sharing this poor woman's story x

Kind of a Beavis and Butt-head sort of thing....
I thought that same thing. Empty soul.
Respect to that News Media there, the family ask for privacy and respect and they immediately left that is how it should be done. Thank you!
She will most likely get less, let’s hope not😞
@Linda Hamilton Especially at the end when he screamed 😭
When that clip came up my immediate thought was: man you don’t need to offer me squat. Let’s find them and fuck them up.
So senseless :( I had a distant friend who was murdered last year; I can’t imagine losing a family member. The uncles pain is so horrible, I feel so bad for the family
i am so sorry… i hope ur heart feels a little lighter each day
I literally held my breath until you said that Makana was okay! I'm so glad she survived this and her mother's worst nightmare didn't come true... I know it's all a nightmare but I'm sure Telma just prayed for her baby to be unharmed during her last minutes. All so saddening. RIP Mama! May your baby grow up to make you so very proud.
It’s so important when talking about these cases to see the family affected. This woman was so loved and it overjoys me that her community came together for the family
