It really sucks how the writers just demoted Linda to a mindless stooge in this season. We already knew that she was an unqualified idiot, but did Linda seriously just forget that Tom helped save her life in the first episode of the show? You'd think that she'd feel obligated to return the favor when Tom and his friends were caught in a near death situation. But no. She's just going to do whatever Sledkin tells her to do without a second thought because she's a nitwit with zero character development. Even side characters deserve to have some time to shine! 😖
linda's minion status was such a missed opportunity, it could've been a catalyst for her to finally see sledkin's villainy and have an arc where she sides with the good guys. maybe there could've been an episode where linda saves tom like in season 1, or maybe we can see more of sledbtch's manipulation and her terrible treatment for both people (herself) and dragons highly doubt any of that would happen tho because we all know what the writers did to poor eugene
Seeing the book with the old gang in it.. kinda made me fucking sad. I wish I could see more of them as a group, miss seeing them team up together. It also doesn't help with the thought that they've been dead for almost like a thousand years or more.
Dear Dreamworks if you're so lazy and refuse to make new dragons then at least use the ones in the games we've never seen on tv Thunderpede, Raincutter, Ripwreckers
I really hate the last scene of the show for a bit of a different reason. So as of now, Tom's been keeping three different major secrets: the heirloom symbol, the dragons from adults and Buzzsaw. Now let's see how each secret was revealed. 1: Tom eventually told the other kids about the heirloom, and had been thinking of it for a while. They got mad at him, but it was justified. 2: Tom wasn't even thinking of telling the grownups this secret, Olivia just finds out by herself. Her anger would be reasonable if she hadn't broken a promise in the making. 3: This is a perfect instance of the worst liar reveal cliche variant of them all: the liar-regrets-lying-and-wants-to-reveal-the-lie-to-those-they-lied-to-but-the-lied-to-end-up-learning-right-as-the-liar-was-ready-to-tell-them-resulting-in-them-still-being-mad. The only other form of media I've seen doing this is Hotel Transylvania Transformania, and this cliche does not work either there or here.

The season ending with Diet Dagur essentially declaring war on the main characters reminds me of Amazing Spider-Man 2. The movie ends with the start of a fight against a new villain, with one shot in particular (the last one right before the credits roll) being heavily featured in multiple trailers.
Not gonna lie the highlight of the season really was those 2 Death Grippers getting crunched by the giant shadow dragon, which given the gian slug thing Im gonna imagine as a giant Sparow cause it makes it funnier. But yeah this show really is in such a god damn awkward position with how it is going. I dont have the highest of hopes but I do slightly wish next season will be the last cause Im be honest I both dont want and dont see how they could ever push it to 9 seasons to go with the whole "Nine Realms" thing. Which to add to that we dont even know if there are Nine Realms in Norce mythology, at the very most theres possibly 5 with everything else been really up in the air. For those curious Id suget watching the video by OSP on the subject.

If anyone wants quality, fairly unheard of HTTYD content, read the books. There's 12 books, you really don't need to read it in order till the end, and it's just really good. Honestly, they rival the movie in terms of content. I highly recommend.
I still think they should have went off of Hiccups comment "We don't deserve you, yet," and then said that the chief of Berk has kept that relationship until the day that the world was ready for them again. Cause then, they could have gone with the plot of Berk trying to protect the dragons from these people exploring the entrance to the hidden world, and making Berk the bad guys from the viewer's perspective. While I think that the third movie was a fine finale, if I could, I would remake this show just to make a canon that erases this show. You could even have descendants of the trappers that passed down legends of how Berk disgraced them and so they've been preparing for this day just as much as Berk has, until Hiccup's descendants are forced to side with the outsiders to keep the dragons secret and safe.

I’ve watched season 6. Every one thinks it’s still terrible like the others. But what I saw something is interesting and emotional. (Warning spoilers!!!) after buzzsaw has gotten the dragon Manuel. He saw a dawning of dagur the deranged. And became interested of him. And after sledkin ran. She will tell the whole world about dragons and might bring an army? I guess? And the riders said they will be prepared. And so Tom thought his pal Thunder was going die. But luckily thunder survived. So that’s why season 6 is not so bad for me. I kinda liked it.👍🏻❤️🔥
I just wished instead of this becoming a modern day thing they did like a series about hiccups kids zephyr and nuffink becoming older and figure out dragons

The way June and Tom have had less development, even though they're supposed to be endgame, I daresay Astrid and her Axe have more chemistry than them. I'm just basing my observation on these reviews. Haven't watched the entire show yet

The kids are going to get grounded again because they had never mentioned about the axe wielding maniac therefore, to go to the parents trust again then baz saw is going to tell the whole world about dragons and it’s up to the riders got to stop buz saw then Tom, and thunder, gonna lose a limb so be a reference or a rehash rip off of the original film just like what happened to hiccup and toothless limbs then the nine realms probably won’t end .

This might be a unpopular opinion But I think that nine realms gets more hate than it deserves, yeah it’s a mockery compared to the other releases of the HTTRD franchise, and the creators don’t put too much effort into it, but the marjority of the flaws brought up are honestly insignificant and can be ignored easyly. Not the best, but far the worst. Could be ignored, but shouldn’t be hated, at least not as much is it is. But the character arcs are a serious issue Damn it directors, actually make the characters
There is a few reasons why I believe the 9 Realms is a poorly executed attempt of money laundering: -They used HTTYD and ripped off Trollhunters as well since both are profitable brands -9 Realms had merch like the original HTTYD had even though let's be honest, it's terrible, and even though it flopped and they openly had critique from fans (like really, who finances this trash to have toys, books, etc.?) -They tried to silence the fandom -It has low quality like money laundering through film has (look up for example Neil Breen, some thinks he's a mafia money launderer) -the fact it releases new seasons and episode fast Either DreamWorks is trying to launder dirty money or it's perfectly possible they issued it because of tax write-offs. But it may well be money laundering and tax write-offs at the same time
The future of HTTYD is just all downhill, and I don’t know which of these products are worse The fact that this show is the worst possible form of a sequel to an already brilliant and concluded series of 3 movies and 2 shows, and it took the writers 6 and a half seasons to make some half decent episodes Or The fact that there’s potential that they’ll mess up the live action remake of the first movie like disney has done with almost all of theirs. The only hope i have is that its directed by the original director of the first movie, so there’s a chance, just like how the fnaf movie is directed by Scott Cawthon himself

He even emp'd all of Icaris back in season 1 iirc, so Thunder's power level in this scene doesn't really seem out of the ordinary to me either. This might be a unpopular opinion
But I think that nine realms gets more hate than it deserves, yeah it’s a mockery compared to the other releases of the HTTRD franchise, and the creators don’t put too much effort into it, but the marjority of the flaws brought up are honestly insignificant and can be ignored easyly. Not the best, but far the worst. Could be ignored, but shouldn’t be hated, at least not as much is it is.
But the character arcs are a serious issue

There is a few reasons why I believe the 9 Realms is a poorly executed attempt of money laundering:
-They used HTTYD and ripped off Trollhunters as well since both are profitable brands
-9 Realms had merch like the original HTTYD had even though let's be honest, it's terrible, and even though it flopped and they openly had critique from fans (like really, who finances this trash to have toys, books, etc.?)
-They tried to silence the fandom
-It has low quality like money laundering through film has (look up for example Neil Breen, some thinks he's a mafia money launderer)
-the fact it releases new seasons and episode fast
Either DreamWorks is trying to launder dirty money or it's perfectly possible they issued it because of tax write-offs. But it may well be money laundering and tax write-offs at the same time

Reason just like most plots of this show
The most obvious answer: because plot.
Tom, D Angelo and Juan were in their territory.
The future of HTTYD is just all downhill, and I don’t know which of these products are worse
The fact that this show is the worst possible form of a sequel to an already brilliant and concluded series of 3 movies and 2 shows, and it took the writers 6 and a half seasons to make some half decent episodes

The fact that there’s potential that they’ll mess up the live action remake of the first movie like disney has done with almost all of theirs. The only hope i have is that its directed by the original director of the first movie, so there’s a chance, just like how the fnaf movie is directed by Scott Cawthon himself
