Just finished the show, and I was oddly emotional during Uhtred’s flashbacks. I’d kinda forgotten how much happened, probably since Covid put the show on pause for so long. It was like in that final scene of Uhtred gazing out at the ocean, it hit me how great the show was and how invested I got in the characters. Much gratitude to Alexander and the whole cast for such an amazing, historical tale.

I wish we could see Uhtred remembering King Alfred and his relationship in flashbacks. Season 3 when Alfred is about to die the dialogue between Uhtred and Alfred was a masterpiece

The Alfred/Uhtred scene at the end of S3 is one of my favorite of the entire series. Just brilliantly written, acted and so so touching.
I started crying in that scene, and in the flashback of the final episodes I felt so emotional….the whole series! It’s a masterpiece.

God, he's such a gorgeous man. The Last Kingdom is a magnificent series and Im so sad it's over now. I truly hope they make the movie that I've heard talks of. Also, anyone that loved the series as much as I have, you should definitely read the books because they're fantastic (books are always better than movies/series). They kept the series close to the books which i appreciated. I look forward to the new projects Alexander takes in the future.
Movie is already done filming. Release is 2023!
There is another interview where he confirms they are already in production but (SPOILER) he hints that Uhtred doesn't make it to the end of the film/movie. Uhtred finally gets to join his friends and family in Valhalla

Alexander Dreymon seems like such a genuine, down-to-earth guy. Makes me appreciate him and the show even more.
You are right everything I have watched about him, he seems to be just extremely down to earth and true hearted. Yet he still had a great sense of humor!
I heard he worked in a cubical for most of his working life and finally got a shot at acting on this Netflix series. And can I say he did an excellent job for a person who had no acting experience and a person comming from a normal 9-5

I just watch an interview where he said he went to acting school. So he didn't just jump into the role of Uhtred with absolutely zero acting experience.
@@drx696, He went to acting school in London so he's not raw talent per se. However, he Is quite fabulous and the perfect actor for the role of Uhtred.
I absolutely love the way that Alex changes his accent to become Uhtred, I think he should record some meditation material coz I would love to hear that voice as I'm falling asleep 😂 Who else agrees ??

Just finished TLK and I can't believe it isn't talked about more online. It was amazing and such brilliant performances from so many amazing actors.
TLK has been the best show I have ever watched and really enjoyed, uhtred’s voice is amazing ❤️
Finished Season 5 and it was perfect. Every loose end tied up. This guy can do no wrong, facial expressions were on point throughout all 5 seasons, everyone's acting was great. I felt like I was there.

How this amazing actor carried that show for 5 seasons is a wonderment to me, since he was in every episode & over 1/2 the scenes... Stupendous work

Fantastic show went from little known to insanely popular on Netflix.. what a life changing role for Alexander. I hope to see him in more shows or movies. He did a perfect Uhtred! That being said I like how he said don't apologize about the names of characters.. between Aethelfled, Aethelhelm... Or Butterbean... lol. Those names are impossible to memorize even if you watch this show a million times.
I love how Alexander is so on point. Amazing actor, Amazing Director, and I love that he mentions The Last Samurai as an example to that powerful scene. I'm watching anything Alexander touches. What a cool guy and what a great interview on this channel. Hearing Alexander go into Character for fun for those classic lines was a great Idea. I can't wait for 7 kings must die!!!!

My son read the books. And he started watching the show he told me he thought I would enjoy it. OMG.. I really got hooked on it I found it to be amazing the actors are so believable. To all you young actors to thumbs up one of my all-time favorite series. I hate to see it over.

I love love loved Utred! I’ve not only watched it several times but I also bought the series on dvd. I couldn’t bear letting this show go if/when I cut Netflix. This is a keeper for life, in my opinion, same as lord of the rings or game of thrones. I just love it ❤️. Watching it again now.

NGL, this series is so bad ass....I'm starting over again for the 3rd time. Love the show. I'm discovering that I missed a lot while watching, it becomes more enjoyable after repeated watching, because I would get tripped-up on the names. So, once I figure out the names, I can better understand what or who the actors are talking about.

That last season left me wanting more, so many losses and the ending. With honorable Heston and Alfred's widow finally accepting Uhtred, before moving herself in, I loved every minute. Its one of my favourites, up there with Thrones for epicness with all the political and cultural struggles...and a way better conclusion

I finished the show like 1 hour ago. I loved every season and how uthred always was so split between his dane self and saxon self. Also Dreymon did it so well, acting and directing. As well es the nice finish in the end. Thank you for such a nice show

One of my favorite series on Netflix. Love love love Utred but also loved Ubba and Skorpa. They were such vicious, ruthless, cold blooded, and savage warriors. They scare me especially Skorpa and I love every moment!

when i first watched TLK i thought it was a low budget wannabe GOT.... then i realized... not long into TLK that it was so much better and the reason why was the charter of Uthred. Uthred is such a multi dimensional character... He puts john snow to shame ... Uthred is a relatable character with honor . AD was perfect in the role and as a Man I can say he is a very masculine and handsome young man with a great future . I hope he works for many decades to come... Thank you Alexander for your masterful playing of Uthred.... ps I have not watched the final episode as I don't want it to end...
