I grew up in Southern Utah and have always been confused about the topics of the Gospel. I have read book after book on all subjects, especially Armageddon, and the Second Coming becoming more confused. Your discussions are a breath of fresh air dissecting the topics, telling the truths like they should be, and backing it up with scriptures. I wish I had this no-nonsense approach to truths in the 60’s, 70’s, and 2013-2021!

A persistent question comes to me with regard to the great earthquake. In your video on this earthquake, you timeline it during the time Christ appears at the Mount of Olives and it splits in two. In Revelation, the earthquake occurs after the opening of the 6th seal and before the opening of the 7th seal. The two witnesses, Armageddon, and the splitting of the Mount of Olives, all come after the opening of the 7th seal. It appears to me the splitting of the Mount of Olives is a separate earthquake from the one spoken by John after the opening of the 6th seal. What is your explanation?
Good job of explaining about Armageddon, where it is and what it is. I was glad to see someone explain Gog & Magog this is often left out. Timelines are dangerous because no one knows so no one is going to do that exactly. Since the birth of Jesus did not happen the way ancients thought it would and many other things the way that everyone thinks they will i pose this question. If Armageddon and Gog & Magog are the same battle, and I believe he explained it that way, how do we explain Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith Page 280 when he says that battle will be at the end of the Millennium? I am confused.
There will be another battle at the end of the Millennium with Gog and Magog but it isn't Armageddon. That is before the Millennium. But the same types of leaders from the same regions starting a ruckus again after Satan is loosed is what the prophet Joseph Smith was talking about.

You learn to work with the thoughts in your mind through mindfulness and individuation along with meditation. You don't get rid of them. Or ignore them. You dont just let them slide by. I sometimes wonder if the 3 and a half years that gets mentioned multiple times is more a symbolic time frame then an actual one. I've also wonder if all the times in the scriptures were it mentions someone was out in the wilderness or somewhere else was gone for 40 days and 40 nights doesn't refer to an actual amount of time but more a symbolic one of they were gone for a long time? Kind of like how we often say things like I'll be back in a few. When really we're not gone for a few minutes but for a space of time.

Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:9,10. Armageddon will clean the earth of all wickedness, Psalms 37:9-11; Psalms 145:20. Then God's Kingdom will rule over the earth forever, Daniel 2:44. God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus as King of kings will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5. The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11. Nope, they haven't been revealed yet, and I'm pretty sure they don't know who they are yet either. I think they will be two people who will be called by the Spirit to go there and prophesy, and they will grow into their calling.

St. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God; and the Word was God. So in the beginning Jesus was already God ... how can anyone believe He became a god? Where is the evidence that happened?
Jesus was a God who created the earth and everything. We believe He was Jehovah. The Jews don’t. After the resurrection He got another title and became Jesus the Christ, our god, our father, our Lord. There are many titles. The Jews are waiting for the messiah, which for them is the king and creator, which for us is Jeovah. But, when Jesus was born even the apostles did not understand who He really was. Jesus is Jeovah the God that was there when we were created by God, the father. Because He was the first son. He was the creator of earth and everything on it. Because the scriptures use so many titles most of people get confused. So he did not became god. He conquered another title.

Jesus is not "a" God, He is God. You are required to believe He became a god. And you are required to believe that matter existed and your god only rearranged it into the universe. There is so much confusion among Mormons that probably most Mormons do not have a clear idea of all that they are required to believe. As you can see, Jesus was always God. Jesus as infinite God created all things visible and invisible, so He created Satan. Satan is not Jesus' brother which is another daft idea you are required to believe. I could go on ... Christians do not have these problems of belief because all the Christian beliefs are in complete harmony with the Bible. May I suggest that after you have examined what you are expected to believe as a Mormon - you then compare them to the beliefs of Christians where you will find that Christian beliefs make sense, and Mormon beliefs do not? So, please, don't rush to judgment on a set of beliefs that seem foreign to you. I know a lot of LDS Christians who love the Lord as much as any other brand of Christian, not just with feelings, but with actual effort in service of others, for that is how one should serve the Lord. There is a lot of gospel disagreement between the 40,000-plus non-LDS Christian denominations in gospel doctrines despite the fact they all believe they're in harmony with the Bible. Even more disconcerting is that conflicting doctrines are taught by different pastors/priests even within the same denomination. So, it's not a legitimate test of truth to compare the doctrines of LDS Christianity with all other Christian denominations. LDS Christians see their doctrines as more in harmony with the Bible than any other religion's. They believe that Jesus suffered for their sins, died, and rose again the third day that all those who truly believe Him need not suffer. They believe that this is a gift of grace that cannot be earned but must be embraced by loving Him, trying to follow His example, and continually repenting. Isn't that Christianity in a nutshell? It seems to me that the requirements for being a Christian are presented as being quite simple by preachers asking for donations but are made quite complicated and stringent by laypeople addressing LDS Christians about doctrines!

Acts 2:46 the early Christians celebrated the Breaking of Bread daily which the RCC does when there is no pandemic. "'Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this way,' says the LORD of Hosts. 'See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure.'" (Christian Standard Bible, Malachi 3:10) So, blessings being predicated upon good choices is quite biblical. Can you point to one Jewish or Islamic sect that accepts Christianity as Biblical? There is not one. So, you see, religious legitimacy is not based on the popular vote of other Bible believing religions! Those who persecuted Christ's followers were highly educated priests and scribes but yet they totally erred in their assessment of Christianity. So, extensive study is not a fool-proof method. I've never heard of the RCC. There are several churches that use that acronym, so I'm not sure where to look. But, I'm curious, do you think all non-RCC religions are non-Christian because their doctrines align less perfectly with the Bible? Let's take a look at your doctrinal example from the Bible: "[Jesus] is the image of the invisible God" - Jesus is NOT the invisible God. Mary Magdalene saw Him. He appeared to her companions after they left the empty tomb to tell the apostles. He appeared to the apostles and they could feel the marks of the nails. He appeared to the two brethren who were traveling to Emmaus. He ate fish and honeycomb with the apostles who had been fishing. In addition, He appeared to at least 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:1-11) The "invisible God" is the Father whom nobody in the Bible saw, though they heard his voice from heaven when His Son was baptized. "the firstborn of every creature" - What does this mean? The clue is in the next few words: "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible..." The logic in the sentence is that Jesus as spirit had to be born first and designated as the Word and Creator and God by divine investiture of authority from the Father in the beginning in order to create everything and everyone else. Yes, Jesus is the God of the Bible, both old and new testaments, but He does not usurp His Father's place. Rather, as He repeatedly demonstrated in the New Testament, He submitted His will to that of His Father. So, the passage you quoted is a great example of how an LDS doctrine rests squarely on the Bible text and context.
Hello and God bless you all. What if we look at it in a different way. What if each natural disaster and war and crime that has happened since the first century that destroyed many people’s lives was each it’s own Armageddon, especially for each individual who went through it? If it affected each of you, I’m sure I’d believe that. Each disaster is adding on top of all previous Armageddons. I think we should have built, and now should start building, only 50+ Tower cities connected to maglev Trains worldwide. That will bring safety by getting people off the ground where they’re not susceptible to a natural disaster. Floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, pandemics like 2020 Coronavirus, and everything bad that happens. Then we could save many lives from car crashes alone, by eliminating all vehicles, which kill 40-50,000 people every year in America alone, and many more worldwide. And if we eliminate most wage jobs like eliminating all weapons manufacturers and military worldwide, that would save many lives IF there is equal wealth worldwide. Because the wage system is partly why no one wants to eliminate all those jobs, but it keeps us in eternal wars. But if we say all people own all things worldwide, and eliminate money and end oppression worldwide, with a Universal Basic Income (Jeremiah 22:13, cups run over like a fountain), it will eventually bring safety and peace worldwide. Why must they rely on a warning from men if they are receiving directly from God via the Spirit? That makes no sense, plus it contradicts scripture. Isaiah 28 tells how the professed followers will not be following the Spirit so God will set up a snare. The snare consists of severe tribulations yet the only forewarning will come through the Spirit. It is intentionally set to catch those that claim to be followers but do not follow the Spirit. Armageddon is not the same war as Gog’s. Look to the Spirit and compare the prophecies. Gog is the “Assyrian” that Isaiah prophesies of. That happens at the beginning of the tribulations upon America. That is also what Joel prophesies of. It is the 4th seal. Armageddon occurs at the end of the 7th seal. They are separate wars in separate parts of the world at separate times.

I grew up in Southern Utah and have always been confused about the topics of the Gospel. I have read book after book on all subjects, especially Armageddon, and the Second Coming becoming more confused. Your discussions are a breath of fresh air dissecting the topics, telling the truths like they should be, and backing it up with scriptures. I wish I had this no-nonsense approach to truths in the 60’s, 70’s, and 2013-2021!

A persistent question comes to me with regard to the great earthquake. In your video on this earthquake, you timeline it during the time Christ appears at the Mount of Olives and it splits in two. In Revelation, the earthquake occurs after the opening of the 6th seal and before the opening of the 7th seal. The two witnesses, Armageddon, and the splitting of the Mount of Olives, all come after the opening of the 7th seal. It appears to me the splitting of the Mount of Olives is a separate earthquake from the one spoken by John after the opening of the 6th seal. What is your explanation?

Good job of explaining about Armageddon, where it is and what it is. I was glad to see someone explain Gog & Magog this is often left out. Timelines are dangerous because no one knows so no one is going to do that exactly. After the resurrection He got another title and became Jesus the Christ, our god, our father, our Lord. There are many titles. The Jews are waiting for the messiah, which for them is the king and creator, which for us is Jeovah. But, when Jesus was born even the apostles did not understand who He really was. Jesus is Jeovah the God that was there when we were created by God, the father. Because He was the first son. He was the creator of earth and everything on it.
Because the scriptures use so many titles most of people get confused. So he did not became god. He conquered another title.

Jesus is not "a" God, He is God. You are required to believe He became a god. And you are required to believe that matter existed and your god only rearranged it into the universe.
There is so much confusion among Mormons that probably most Mormons do not have a clear idea of all that they are required to believe.

As you can see, Jesus was always God. He is the image of the invisible God (the Father who has no body) and is the firstborn of every creature so Jesus has no heavenly mother (since He is before all things) ... another silly idea you are required to believe. Jesus as infinite God created all things visible and invisible, so He created Satan. Satan is not Jesus' brother which is another daft idea you are required to believe. I could go on ...
Christians do not have these problems of belief because all the Christian beliefs are in complete harmony with the Bible.
May I suggest that after you have examined what you are expected to believe as a Mormon - you then compare them to the beliefs of Christians where you will find that Christian beliefs make sense, and Mormon beliefs do not? If I have misrepresented Mormon beliefs, please show me where. The truth is extremely important to me: Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I want to have a very close loving relationship with Jesus my Lord and my Saviour.
Christians love the Lord our God with all their hearts, with all their souls, with all their strength and with all their minds and their neigbour as themselves whereas Mormons rely on their feelings which, as the Bible tells you, are most unreliable.

I know a lot of LDS Christians who love the Lord as much as any other brand of Christian, not just with feelings, but with actual effort in service of others, for that is how one should serve the Lord.
There is a lot of gospel disagreement between the 40,000-plus non-LDS Christian denominations in gospel doctrines despite the fact they all believe they're in harmony with the Bible. Even more disconcerting is that conflicting doctrines are taught by different pastors/priests even within the same denomination. So, it's not a legitimate test of truth to compare the doctrines of LDS Christianity with all other Christian denominations.
LDS Christians see their doctrines as more in harmony with the Bible than any other religion's. They believe that Jesus suffered for their sins, died, and rose again the third day that all those who truly believe Him need not suffer. They believe that this is a gift of grace that cannot be earned but must be embraced by loving Him, trying to follow His example, and continually repenting. Isn't that Christianity in a nutshell?

Since Jesus is not a false prophet but the way the truth and the life, His Church must still exist with unbroken apostolic succession since the Church is built on the apostles and prophets with Jesus as the capstone. Acts 2:46 the early Christians celebrated the Breaking of Bread daily which the RCC does when there is no pandemic. It is also easy to show that the RCC belief in the Real Presence in the Eucharistic is Biblical - Zwingli in 1525 was the guy that created that falsehood which even Luther did not agree with.

"'Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this way,' says the LORD of Hosts. 'See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure.'" (Christian Standard Bible, Malachi 3:10) So, blessings being predicated upon good choices is quite biblical.
Can you point to one Jewish or Islamic sect that accepts Christianity as Biblical? There is not one. So, you see, religious legitimacy is not based on the popular vote of other Bible believing religions!
Those who persecuted Christ's followers were highly educated priests and scribes but yet they totally erred in their assessment of Christianity. So, extensive study is not a fool-proof method.
I've never heard of the RCC. There are several churches that use that acronym, so I'm not sure where to look. But, I'm curious, do you think all non-RCC religions are non-Christian because their doctrines align less perfectly with the Bible?
Let's take a look at your doctrinal example from the Bible:

He appeared to the apostles and they could feel the marks of the nails. He appeared to the two brethren who were traveling to Emmaus. He ate fish and honeycomb with the apostles who had been fishing. In addition, He appeared to at least 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:1-11) The "invisible God" is the Father whom nobody in the Bible saw, though they heard his voice from heaven when His Son was baptized.
"the firstborn of every creature" - What does this mean? The clue is in the next few words: "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible..." The logic in the sentence is that Jesus as spirit had to be born first and designated as the Word and Creator and God by divine investiture of authority from the Father in the beginning in order to create everything and everyone else. Yes, Jesus is the God of the Bible, both old and new testaments, but He does not usurp His Father's place. Rather, as He repeatedly demonstrated in the New Testament, He submitted His will to that of His Father.
So, the passage you quoted is a great example of how an LDS doctrine rests squarely on the Bible text and context.

What if each natural disaster and war and crime that has happened since the first century that destroyed many people’s lives was each it’s own Armageddon, especially for each individual who went through it? If it affected each of you, I’m sure I’d believe that. Each disaster is adding on top of all previous Armageddons.
I think we should have built, and now should start building, only 50+ Tower cities connected to maglev Trains worldwide. That will bring safety by getting people off the ground where they’re not susceptible to a natural disaster. Floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, pandemics like 2020 Coronavirus, and everything bad that happens. Then we could save many lives from car crashes alone, by eliminating all vehicles, which kill 40-50,000 people every year in America alone, and many more worldwide. And if we eliminate most wage jobs like eliminating all weapons manufacturers and military worldwide, that would save many lives IF there is equal wealth worldwide. Because the wage system is partly why no one wants to eliminate all those jobs, but it keeps us in eternal wars. But if we say all people own all things worldwide, and eliminate money and end oppression worldwide, with a Universal Basic Income (Jeremiah 22:13, cups run over like a fountain), it will eventually bring safety and peace worldwide. What if?

‘Men of approved piety will warn the faithful’?? That is not what the scriptures say. The faithful don’t need to be warned by men because they are of the “wise virgins” and have taken the Spirit as their guide (D&C 45:56-57). Why must they rely on a warning from men if they are receiving directly from God via the Spirit? That makes no sense, plus it contradicts scripture. Isaiah 28 tells how the professed followers will not be following the Spirit so God will set up a snare. The snare consists of severe tribulations yet the only forewarning will come through the Spirit. It is intentionally set to catch those that claim to be followers but do not follow the Spirit.
Armageddon is not the same war as Gog’s. Look to the Spirit and compare the prophecies. Gog is the “Assyrian” that Isaiah prophesies of. That happens at the beginning of the tribulations upon America. That is also what Joel prophesies of. It is the 4th seal. Armageddon occurs at the end of the 7th seal. They are separate wars in separate parts of the world at separate times.
