hey, I was thinking about doing this to my car, how has the wrap held up and do you have any vinyl wrap recommendations? Im trying to wrap my door handles glossy black, trying to make it look as if it has been painted.

@@kkmcgamer they have held up just fine! My recommendation is to use Vvivid gloss black. Don't use the microfinish version of their gloss black because it is very low tack. You need wrap with a higher tack to wrap these handles and Vvivid regular gloss black will be perfect for you.

@@wrapman_8852 thanks for the response. I’ve never done wrapping before but I didn’t want to buy the carbon fibre door trim as I feel like they make the doorhandles stick out a bit more. How difficult would you say this is?

@@kkmcgamer I wouldn't rate this too hard to do in this video. After getting better, I made a more recent video when my car was yellow which is a little more advanced. That video is also on my channel.

@@wrapman_8852 do you recomend your newer video over this one? I'm mainly going to follow the video step by step while wrapping my Z.

@@kkmcgamer I would start with this one so you can learn. More pieces and seams but it's easier. Then eventually when you feel comfortable, you can try it advanced.

Is it possible to obtain "wrap" in a basic OEM factory color - I fall into the ultra rare crowd that actually owns a Z but does NOT want attention - however - Nissan decision to not color match the door handles has bothered me for 9+ years. Would rather "try" a wrap on the handles rather than the local paint shop which - you're likely to get a drunk/druggy/angry at mom type that will not spend more than 2 mins on prep...

Hi! I think it is very possible to get a nearly perfect close to factory match. I notice that when trying to match pearl white/metallic red then it can be very difficult.

I'm sure you know what your doing, but your cutting on the paint, plastic what ever. That's a no f****way! 😅

@@1980thehammer the trick to wrapping is being very precise with the blade and knowing the pressure you're applying. Not to mention the door handles on these cars don't scratch or scuff easily. Not sure exactly what they're made of or coated with but they have a certain "feel" to them. You can try it yourself if you have a 370z.
