- The last big SUV I have taken up this mountain was the BMW X5 PHEV, and it was surprisingly agile, and this tine it was the IX 50 XDrive.
I thought it would be a lot heavier, but to my surprise ( much later) I discoverrd the body frame is largely made up of carbon fibre, and that helped to keep the weight down to a reasonable level.
To give credit where it is due, BMW has done quite a decent job of keeping the ride and handling on an excellent level.
Yes, the IX50 is not something you can bully, and it can and will put some performance cars to shame.

This EV car comfortability is a lot more civilized than the previous Tesla test drive. This is officially the best EV car in the market .
Class, comfort , performance and practically is there.
Also better than Mercedes too. Even buying BMW, will also make people less worries than buying Mercedes when comes maintenance cost and reliability

@siongtzer well, have a look from the website, already shown latest reliability recent rankings, already tell why mercedes have very poor results and now behind all luxury rivals and many other brands too and now par with reliability of alfa romeo
The price of IX is double of Model 3
Iconic sound, composed by none other than Hans Zimmer, the legend... Uncle YS, you are right, the "RPM" went up to 100% at the start, but toward the end, it went up to 70-80% only...
No matter what kind of car it is, as long as it is driven by uncle YS, it will become very interesting.

The feeling of reduction in power toward the end is not psychological. I read somewhere that's due to the power management system trying to keep the temperature of the battery down as high temperature will degrade the EV battery fast. If they do not control this, they will face many warranty claims on the EV battery before the expiry of the warranty.

With 523hp, 765Nm & more than 2 tonnes of weight, it looks really stable and easy to drive especially at corners...

Uncle, the tires of my Vento 1.2 TSI DSG Gear box car remained submerged in flood water for three hours. Now the gear lever is not shifting. What's wrong and what should I do?
Get it towed to a VW service centre. Could be water intrusion into the transmission, or control unit, or could be a wet sensor.

It seems the battery dipped very drastically with high speed drive like this and the cost per km travelled is actually very high.
ice performance car also similar actually..but since we can refuel easily we never really think about that.
@@aircommandslipperz ICE do reduce range on high speed but not so drastically. This is like almost 2/3 less than the claimed mileage.
The % drop so fast is because of going up hill and of course with speed.
It would be still at SOC 50% when this car reach KL because downhill will gain back the battery juice.
@@EddieTeo you need to compare with performance car..if u want performace like ev need to drive very hard on pedal..dont compare with myvi or toyota..
