If all the world's military folded their socks, t-shirts and bed sheets in this manner, we wouldn't have any wars. Too busy to fight!! Nice instructional video, though.
"For the visual learners"- and he proceeds to show, visually, the important bits to complete it. Well done, and thank you for thinking about how your audience can best learn the new skill. :)
I think you should do more instructional videos like this. I think it helps many people. You should do one on how to roll some of the other articles of clothing like shirts.
Thank you so much for this. I am in the process of training and losing weight to enlist. I'm not there yet but I'm learning as MUCH as I can BEFORE going so that I do things somewhat correct in BMT. I have a long way to go so I have plenty of time to practice. :) You have inspired me to start folding all my clothes like the Air Force ^^
And I thought I stressed about socks!😂 I just finished matching and stacking up the socks of my 6 babies! Now I'm working on my husband's and I remembered how my brother organized his socks so I searched for this video. Next, it'll be how to fold the t-shirts.
I came here from how to fold boxers cuz I’m tired of re-folding and organizing my man’s drawer. Every-time I do laundry I fight the urge to empty it before putting his things away.
Spectacular!! I have 100 pairs of socks for daytime and another 20 for night time. Inside the house, outside the house. Summer and colder times (I live in Southern California, winter is 3 days, fall lasts a week and spring is most of the time when it isn't summer.) My socks fill an entire drawer. With this technique I can make better use of extra space. Thank you very much! ☺️🤗
I was searching how to fold Navy clothes for my son and came across this. It looks like the Navy roll video I saw but tighter and more to my standard. Great job! Hope to see more of your videos even though my son is probably going Navy. I would still like to have him see an Air Force Recruiter. Thank you for your service young man and God bless you. Letty
No doubt! I went through AF basic in August 1970 and I don't remember spending that much time and detail to our socks. Polishing our belt buckles and bar of soap for footlocker display... yes.
Thank you so much! I'm trying to learn for JROTC and, even though they showed us how, I couldn't quite get it. This explanation was succinct and helpful. Godspeed.
My fiancé told me about making these in basic and he liked to call them sock dumplings 😂 so cute- he made me want to roll them too! He says he can’t wait to roll up some silly socks
Seriously, dude! TWO people and sitting on the floor with your feet against a drawer to roll one pair of socks!!! LOL Only men could complicate something women were doing successfully and fuss-free for years until women's lib and war forced men to learn to roll their own darned socks. Who knew watching someone rolling socks could be so entertaining. The lying on top of each other heel up was all I needed here. Thanks for that at the very least. LOL Anyone watching this - just put your socks on a flat surface and roll carefully. Unless you need it so compact that you plan to use it as a weapon or need two extra millimetres in your backpack, you don't need to go this crazy. Have a wonderful sock-rolling day. :D
Yeah. Good to know our tax dollars are being spent wisely. Although I guess the more time the military spends making sure underwear is rolled tightly, the less time they can spend bombing school buses and hospitals while keeping the world safe for Halliburton and Exxon-Mobil.
The US military budget is currently $715 billion. They can probably issue replacement socks daily. Keeping military personnel busy doing useless tasks is probably far more important than keeping socks in a usable state.
Talk about PTSD. Shoulders will be getting that just because the have to fold there cloths forget the combat. You will have guys having flashbacks when they go into the men's department at Walmart. 😢.
Honestly, I applaud your dedication. But at 7 pairs of socks worn per week, that's about an hour of work, and not worth it. I roll my socks too, but definitely less meticulously and they're always ready to be thrown into an overnight bag. I also roll everything else, towels, t-shirts, polos, pants etc. I was never in the armed forces, but rolling stuff makes a lot of sense when travelling
Imma say you’re a Virgo Colonel. 10+ minutes on socks? I will add to your ten with a tip for older socks (for those of us out on the flight line). You can lay the socks on top of each other 🧦 (just like the emoji) and roll them in line. It’s a bit lumpier but faster and easier with older socks. - Maj. MMM, USAF, (Ret.)
10 minutes learning to roll socks.
My life is priceless.
Ha ha
Just finished my sock and I'm holding it like it's a trophy.
Same 😂
😁😁😁
It is a trophy
Now I have a weapon that soldiers use when run out of ammo
Now this is a good damn video, continue with other laundry? I would really appreciate it!

Nice instructional video, though.
9:03 you can hear a little giggle when he showing off the sick cause he’s so proud of his sock and it’s so awesome to see

This video brought back a flood of memories from sixty years ago when I was in the Army. Thank you.
Idk why I’m getting anxiety watching this I’m gonna fail basic lol
lmfao how did u do? I'm sure you did fine
Hope you did well
this is sushi
how was it?

You are a fantastic conveyor of information! Your explanation and instruction is magnificent. Thank you.
Pretty dang good sock rollin

legends say he’s still folding his laundry

Love your videos!! Thank you for providing great information about the Air Force and the military!!!
LMFAOOOOO. "usually when we run out of ammo, we just chuck these down range, they're pretty effective"
I FUCKING CHOKED 😂😂😂
There is nothing I hate more than a unlocked footlocker. 🍩
I found my new ghetto chain mace. Roll a sock and put it in the other sock and now you got the perfect whipping tool. Thanks for this valuable info.
This is the most Air Force thing I've ever seen.
No doubt! I went through AF basic in August 1970 and I don't remember spending that much time and detail to our socks. Polishing our belt buckles and bar of soap for footlocker display... yes.
I thought that was a Bluetooth speaker at first
Never knew it took two people to fold a pair of socks.
This video was definitely easier to follow than the others I saw. It had clear & easy to follow visuals. I leave for bmt in 2 weeks
I’ll never forget this. Thank you.
Thank you for your instruction on this. Clear and concise - excellent!
You, my friend, are a master teacher! Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! I'm trying to learn for JROTC and, even though they showed us how, I couldn't quite get it. This explanation was succinct and helpful. Godspeed.
Awesome video! Going to refer to this before I head off to Field Training this summer!
Really helpful, thank you so much all the way from Matlock, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. ❤
Thank you so much for this video brother. You are an awesome human being! ❤️
Nice! I roll my civilian socks the same way! Just kidding. 😂 Great video bro.
i’m just doing this for my socks to save space in my drawers so thanks dude! much appreciated
Great sock rolling
Appreciate you man. Much needed.
My fiancé told me about making these in basic and he liked to call them sock dumplings 😂 so cute- he made me want to roll them too! He says he can’t wait to roll up some silly socks
I did it! 😂 whoop! No bad edges! Though they were ankle socks so they were tiny 😂! Thank you! It may seem silly but it makes me feel closer to him
I just watched someone roll a rock for 10 minutes

Switching that thumb at the end of the Roll is Crucial
Thanks this was easy to do, most efficient way to save space :)
I have all of mine in a ready to go tactical pile.
thank you for this video pal, about to leave for BMT
Thanks for this informative video
Ask a busy mother of three kids if she would have that much time to expertly and meticulously roll up peoples' socks
*0:00* Content Cop: Socks
Who else u is watching this but you are already in the Air Force?
Deedy me hahahah
I served some years ago in the AF but I was showing my kids the technique. Also I showed them hospital corners which look nice but they hate them
I’m watching it and not in the AF, nor do I ever plan to join. I’m just kind of interested in whether this could work for my socks. 😁
I am a marine in Call of Duty. Does that count?
Nice video man
i feel so stupid 😭 thank you! i used to think doing this was impossible when i was younger but this was super easy!
They must have a lot of free time in the military before they pack to go somewhere that they have that much time to roll up socks for half an hour
Nope. In basic, things like that come out of the few minutes of free time you have in the barracks before lights out. You learn to be fast!
Yeah. Good to know our tax dollars are being spent wisely. Although I guess the more time the military spends making sure underwear is rolled tightly, the less time they can spend bombing school buses and hospitals while keeping the world safe for Halliburton and Exxon-Mobil.
Only think Americans need to be rolling😂 great video man God Bless
Question, if I use this technique on regular cotton socks at home, will it increase the rate at which my my socks become ruined?
How does this not destroy the socks?
The US military budget is currently $715 billion. They can probably issue replacement socks daily. Keeping military personnel busy doing useless tasks is probably far more important than keeping socks in a usable state.
jeez why is this even a requirement ?!
Building discipline
İt's called discipline kid
Courtney Armstrong I’ve never known anyone fold socks like that...
Are you gonna do a video for shirts? Or undergarments
Not ONE smart ass Marine Corps comment about Air Force basic training? I’m truly disappointed lol
Does the extra continuous tension not stretch the socks overtime?
Methinks this will ruin the elastic and make them loose and bad after a while.
Next one should be how to iron a proper collar on a shirt
Airforce Deployments are like vacations.
84% win! woohoo...good job
This was a life saver😂
How to end up in the equipment room 101
u got some good slipers
Works great with baseball socks
When he makes E6..ask him if he still rolls his socks this way.
Do you have to do this at the academy? 🤔
Darien MD yup!
Darien MD I was wondering the same thing!
Why is one sock longer than the other?
Because this method stretches out one sock more than the other and ends up destroying the socks by overstretching the elastic.
Can you do a video about SAMIs
Thanks brother
Wish I had seen this back in 2016 when I was in bmt lol
Lots of work!
That’s my Air Force! OCD much Airman? Aim High! ✈️🌎
I actually use my knees for tension when rolling
Trust me in BMT you'll have all Sunday to perfect the rolled sock
Talk about PTSD. Shoulders will be getting that just because the have to fold there cloths forget the combat. You will have guys having flashbacks when they go into the men's department at Walmart. 😢.
Hey!!!!
This is so easy
I’m in Tech school and I still roll my socks 😂😂
i like to have my socks rolled for traveling.
Hi from Sweden
Bro wow.
I’m just watching videos like this because my step dad said he’s gonna kick me out I’m 13 i just find it funny
Yeah for some reason the Canadian Armed forces BMQ sees it fit to fold 1 sock individually for some dumb reason
Heyyy battle buddy, wanna help me for my socks😃
How many Zoomies does it take to fold a pair of socks???
Do you USAF guys get so few socks that you can spend so much time rolling them up...? 😂
A new video nice
Content cop 👮
I did 5 Pairs and one video
Oh yeah first like 💪🏽
Interesting..
Not bad at all
Everytime I try, it looks like a burrito or bean

I still Roll My Socks and Sand Tees!!!
Ok as a mother doing laundry. This is so OCD and takes too much time
i lined up insignia and patches lol

You can lay the socks on top of each other 🧦 (just like the emoji) and roll them in line. It’s a bit lumpier but faster and easier with older socks.

No way I spent 10 minutes learning how to roll socks 😂
