A small mod but HUGE QoL bonus that I cannot live without is "Sprint Cancel Aim and Lean Toggle." For anyone using lean toggle, you NEED this! It allows you to sprint immediately out of leaning, rather than having to un-lean before the game allows you to sprint. I got blasted in the face by a shotgun around a corner too many times before this, being able to immediately book it is a godsend! It also works fine with GAMMA, if anyone asks!
Seconded! It should be a part of either base game, or Anomaly. There is zero reason to not keep this mod on at all times. Another QoL mod I'd like to add is autocomplete missions. It doesn't work with PDA taskboard, but creates a slightly different game flow, making it much easier to plan trips through certain areas. As you get paid instantly as a task is completed, you can just visit a vendor instantly after a quest, instead of returning to the quest giver first. It's kinda like pda task board, but with the opposite effect.
Thanks for the Godly patience you have in dealing with all of us monkeys trying out your modpack I know we can be nitpicky little bitches at times, but you and your team have made great strides in turning what was a quirky little STALKER sandbox simulator into an even more fun and refreshing STALKER experience Much love for everything you do, Grok
Total godsend on that API list. I've been wanting to try GAMMA, but I find that I've got to go in to a discord a bit too tedious to bother trying. With this I can just narrow down the mods I want. Thank you for that!
I don’t think you HAVE to go into the discord to install the mod pack. Even if you do, googling “stalker gamma discord”, and clicking a few more buttons is too tedious? Installing gamma is so easy, and there are tutorial videos that lay it out step by step. Installing individual mods is much more tedious lmao.
Had no idea Solarint was in Stalker modding scene too. Only know him from Sain of course but apparently I've been using his mod in Stalker with Gamma too. Respect to all modders out there
One mod which is INSANELY simplistic Chaotic Blowouts2 for me personally is a niche mod that changes the sirens before a PSY emision with added dog and human excruciating pain screeches. When I played Pookie's modpack the first time I heard that... I had goosebumps at the horror blowouts brough to my experience in the zone
I just got into modding anomaly as I go, this is gold, thank you!!! Subscribed, I'm trying to make my zone gritty and moody too, if you have any follow-up ideas please make more videos on this, I'm sure there are plenty underrated or niche mods which can be tough to find
Truly love your work Monsieur Breeki. One I'd like to suggest is another by Utjan; Dynamic Emission Cover. It makes taking cover from emissions intuitive; any sufficiently hefty structure will work, or even a thick concrete pipe if you really need to. A huge bonus is that you can set up your base in many more places, such as the upper levels of the cement factory in the north of Jupiter. Can't recommend it highly enough and it'd be cool to see you try it out if you try for another Iron Man / Invictus.
Love the video and the recomendations. 💕 I currently have GAMMA, a custom vanilla Anomaly and OWA installed on my PC. I am a father, designer and professional athlete, throughout the day my head and body suffer considerable levels of stress😵💫. When I'm at home and have a couple of hours to evade in the Zone, I always end up returning to OWA, because it doesn't saturate me while I play and it helps me clear my mind, it's direct, simple and grateful. Right now it's precisely what I'm looking for.👌 My ideal addonpack actually would be the base mechanics of OWA (OT) with the visuals, arsenal and QoL of GAMMA.🤟
Hello Cheeki, I am watching any STALKER video after about a year. I started Misery in August 23 amd stopped in September due to a housemoving. I carried my saved game and intended to start in the new house. Was settling in when a friend offered a job in December and am INTO in (More than I was in Lost Alpha during The Lockdowns) and only take my dog for 2 1-hour long walks and that's it! (Apart from the basic eat-shit routine). He gave me a MacBook so the PC was gathering dust. Recently, thought about installing some STALKER and bought an HDMI switcher to switch conveniently between Mac and PC. Misery was on top of my mind. But, remembering that how intense it was, I decided to go back to Anamoly as I need fun and not a bloddy exercise or life mission that even Narodnaya Solyanka makes it to be! Your video (I have watched 32 seconds, yet) cemented my decision! Love you and your works!
The truth is I like gamma in many sections except how it handles the artifacts section, because I don't like the mechanics of the containers in itself but gamma puts even more mechanics on top of it which makes it very tedious and I end up using them to make money, there are more things that I don't like but I can change them or completely remove them. At the moment the only mod pack that I like how it handles the artifacts is Old World because it removes all the tedious mechanics and reduces it to making a good combination of artifacts, but for better or worse Old World feels like it is the same as the original trilogy, so the arsenal of weapons is very limited and the variety of costumes practically does not exist, apart from the fact that you must install a couple of QoL addons
If you dislike how Gamma handles artefacts, you can simply disable everything artefact related in the MO2 list. I did so, and replaced it with Artefact Renovation (reinvention?) instead.
I remember using Dawn's Tweaks for one particular mod- that let you talk with everyone, not just unique NPCs or squad leaders. Used that one for Call of Misery, Road to the North and later Anomaly.
I don't play gamma, because: 94% of the mods i don't care about and I don't need, 5% i want and care about 1% i straight up don't want, and going through 400 mods one by one to find out disabling which one will fix my issue is a pain. I love the idea of GAMMA and the immersion it gives, but I'd rather have the 20 mods i want without wasting space and resources. Do i have compatibility issues? Yes. Not all of the mods i want i can have, but it is better than having 300 useless junk mods that the only thing they do is change three pixels of a texture on a tree that i will never see in my life. Anyways, there are about 15 addons i regularly play with, but only one i percieve as a must have. Since I tried the Mag Redux i can't live without it. Many people don't like it, but i love the change in gameplay it gives.
Funnily enough, the ARMA community's finest modders have come over to STALKER. Mods like soundscape and JSRS are the exact names of mods from the ARMA games. Cheers.
Cheeki i would love to see a True Stalker playtrough from you. I already miss waiting every week for a gameplay video... you dont have to of course, its just a suggestion, and i think people would love it too because its something "newer"
So glad I found this video! I just found out about & started playing vanilla anomaly and so far it's great but there's minor QoL things I have issues with. Especially at the very top is the inventory mgmt. I downright despise it but I was dreading sifting thru the whole mess of mods just to get a handful. I'm also playing on a 2nd hand Lenovo ideapad3 w/ ryzen7 cpu but no dedicated GPU so my mod options are next to nonexistent as well as only having Hotspot from my phone as my only access to the internet so I'm severely limited to how much I can download. I rly appreciate you narrowing down to the must-have's! As well as some useful recommendations in the comments!
Great video! Maybe it would be interesting to have a video on which Gamma mods that are disabled by default you would recommend? I just play "vanilla" Gamma but I always wonder if any of those optional mods are worth enabling
Gamma is Super big like 60gb's i think. I just installed EFP also a modpack for anomaly, but 3 times smaller than Gamma and just added a couple more mods. It works super good.
EFP is still not as stable as GAMMA though. There are several weird bugs that can affect your playthrough that are not a thing in GAMMA. For example, there is a bug that you can't loot the bodies, you can't fill your mags, you can't move items in your inventory or loot from a box for no reason suddenly. And the only solution is to reload an old save...
Also controversial - there are 2 things that the gamma mod makes much worse and boring - the A - Life and looting corpses. You can improve looting with the mod manager, but no matter what i disable or change in the files even, i cant seem to change how the Alife behaves in gamma, and the Alife impact looting too much. 1) Alife becomes predictable and boring, and some npc squads just stay lounging in bars forever. I remember the top 10 stalkers hit mission had me kill a Freedom guy in Janov, and at first i thought - ok hes going to eventually leave and then ill find a way to snipe him from afar without witnesses. And he never left. One of my first defining moments many years ago with vanilla anomaly - was when in my first game ever i saw a random merc guy walking alone in cordon. That desperate shootout with him was like a first shot of heroin that sends you down the addiction rabbit hole, because it took me like 15 minutes to be able to kill him with trash stater gear. I never encountered any other faction ever than freedom duty military bandit and loner in cordon when i played gamma. 2) There are so many little addons to nerf looting - and no the problem is not the loot progression mod, even if it does feel stupid when you see items in the inventory POOF and disappear because you don't deserve them yet. I like the loot claim mod, but the default one in gamma is actually the inferior choice - because if the squad doesn't see you and the corpse they somehow telepathically know that someone is touching their favorite corpse, a crime most dire. This can be easily fixed by switching to the other loot claim mod - the one that makes it more like - first come first served. Now npcs run to corpses to claim them, and they only complain if you try to loot corpses near them or the one they are currently looting. But this brings me to the second batch of problems. Because of the a-life the loot does not get wild. Plus there are 2 more mods that make sure that your loot tables stay boring - by default npcs don't loot at all they just claim corpses. The second one just makes sure that every corpse has a limit on how much loot there is there. So the default looting further improves this feeling of the zone being a lived in place where you are not the center of the world , it also has you in this panic mode situation where you have quickly to devise a plan on how to take all of this loot and also survive. - What i described above, lets say for example it's around 10 potential scenarios that could happen to the player in vanilla (in reality it is probably much more than that) - that will never happen to the player in gamma. This is still a wealth of experience that might not seem beneficial at first - but it does improve the game overall and reinforces some themes and ideas anomaly is going for. I think GAMMA offers improved immersion for your role playing - because this mindset can make the most boring and repetitious tasks fulfilling for a long long time - its not just this farming task anymore, its a job like any other and you need jobs to survive and maybe this is something your character himself found out and decided to exploit and then you can imagine how he rises to power and how that influences him as a character and so on and so on. Everything that improves this feeling of immersion is welcome - and GAMMA seems overly bent on the gamification of some systems to make this feeling of progression super linear. While I also love loooooooooooong linear progression - come on, the real world has both pitfalls that set you back a lot (like more surprising Alife from my point 1) or moments where gods smile on you where they decide one day not to piss and shit on you for fun - but give you a little candy (like finding a especially rich corpse in my point 2). Even if you don't roleplay and just play and turn off your mind - these things above still happen in your subconscious and effect the impact of the game on you, so its not just something that might the role-player gamer disappointed.
the game looks better withput atmospherics, much more natural. I tried hippo atmos on EFP 4.0, and there was amazing, but not looks so good with lastest efp version
I love GAMMA, but I've played so much EFT I just can't get used to the med system so I go back to my custom modded Anomaly with the EFT med system in it. I should see if i can swap it into GAMMA but might be above my skill. (I love the Aggressor Reshade and his grass)
Probably a bit late to ask, but can you cover Oblivion Lost Remake 3.0 in the future, it blew up on the Russian side of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R community about 4 months ago, and it looks real good as well, unfortunately the mod's github is pretty overwhelmed at the moment considering there's been a relatively recent patch on May 15th. edit: Oh just now I managed to get it! Sorry other people hahaha.
hey i got a question, i just got the pack of the 3 games, and i do want to download gamma, but apparently you need around 120 g of space, i only got 60 to 70, how do I change Stalker Gamma to take up less space
I'm having problems with GAMMA - later in the game after opening up the barrier the system is choking on transitions, my rig (Ryzen 5-5600x/32g/nvme/gtx1080) is choking badly, it's taking about 4-5 minutes just to load the transition from level to another such as moving from Army Houses to the Red Forest. As far as I've read it's to do with calculation of NPC movements and constrained by the engine's single core use only - I'm not sure if this can be curtailed or even switched off in mod configuration, I've yet to find a solution out there other than someone saying "just wait and be patient". Has anyone seen a fix for this issue? I'd be awfully grateful as I do love most of Gamma.
never found someone with a problem with gamma? now you found someone, the game literally stay in the loading screen and doesn't load, when i tried EFP it worked but wasn't that optimized, so i want to mod it myself because if i try to find the mod that is causing the infinite loading i would waste 1 year of my life just to find that mod, because gamma has a lot of mods.
I've played GAMMA a lot but the stutters never went away and I've tried every single fix I could find on youtube, reddit, modDB. I might just play vanilla with these mods, might run better.
The best place for fixes is the discord, hopefully you've tried that. Personally I used tips there, adjusted sound pre-fetch, reduced the anomaly spawn rate, set just the right DirectX setting, substantially lowered the grass density, did all the Core 0 shit, and stutters were finally mostly gone. Unfortunately I think it's really hardware-specific too.
@@hambo6713 Yeah I spent a lot of time on the discord as well and I have tried all those. It must mean I need to upgrade my PC and it's not even that old.
Idk what you talkin about I and my friend and lots and lots of people usually have tons and tons of issues with playing and installing Gamma xD updated? broken for a day or two, you added a mod or for Gods sake disabled smth? broken. Gamma is Amazing with capital A I Agree but it is def no as stable as lots of people saying. oh and did I mentioned it eats FPS like kids eat candies? :D I played Gamma for years and then tried EFP, 80% of Gamma in it, you freely can (ofc ALMOST freely) adjust mod list, add/remove mods to your liking. AND EFP got like 160fps~ form e instead of Gammas 50-75avg fps~ soo yeah.
Crazy how tastes differ. th-cam.com/video/t8rJSvaaYjg/w-d-xo.html The before looks so much more natural. That blue tint looks like the stuff from the Xbox 360 era to make games look "gritty".
Can anybody talk about the mod where you can compare a weapon’s full condition details? I have been looking for that everywhere. Does anyone know if it is even a mod?
IDK. GAMMA always bound a lot of installation/mod manager time for me. Btw I'm happy to meet the ~5th frenchman on the internet (yeah I'm already on the internet since the 90s, that's why I witnessed this many french persons). Still waiting for the other 5 who speak english.
Ok dont go apeshit on me this is my opinion but i will say the rason GAMMA is worse to start with than EFP because of the fact that you are not allowed to buy guns wich in my opinion adds a full layer of difficulty in the game that new players just arent ready for
i honestly think that is making the zone atmosphere so much better (and harder, but reasonably). the thing that makes gamma bad is that it's loaded with tons of unnecessary addons and mechanics and there's just too much of them to have a good game. i know gamma is modular but I don't want to spend 3 hours just sitting there and disabling them, too boring. better to mod your anomaly by yourself, it's not that boring at least
big agree, any video that talks positively about gamma always has some people at the bottom of the comments talking about how it's too tedious, when that is the point, it's a hardcore modpack of a supposedly hard game, or at least the atmosphere of the game is one of survival and hardship, you are not supposed to pick it up with 0 prior experience and go shoot at the baddies with a modern AR in your first hour It having 450 mods in there, with a lot of those being small tweaks or fixes is also kind of the point of it, you can mod your game but you can't get to gamma levels of granular modding to where absolutely every detail is curated and worked on, I appreciate that part of it
I hate GAMMA's recoil system and for a modpack that has ''modular'' in it I for the life of me cannot find the file ı need to change to just make it like vanilla Anomaly
Gamma is to hard, to graphically intense and my internet is so dog crap that 80gb would take like a week with chrome downloads so I just gave up after waiting a day and having it reset twice I need anomaly qol and customisation with the gameplay settings
sorry but i just leave gamma yeas it has plenty great thinks but why i dont play gamma anymore is it doesnt allow you progress there is normal shop where buy guns, armor, not even grenades.but most worst think not very great loot only trash and i will not talk about that repair system because that is chapter itself.
Looks like modders of anomalies don't understand that most of those are traps, and they make them too easy to spot. This is why the vanilla versions are still the best. Less is sometimes more.
Highly recommend the add-on “New Levels”. It adds a few new areas and quests! It works in vanilla Anomaly and works in GAMMA. Western Goods is also another one I’d suggest.
@@CheekiBreekiTv so far i don't think they've really been improved. its more or less the same 3 maps, the only improvements would be bug fixes, patches for other mods and a small storyline from the cologists. Apparently the re:done author is going to release a pack for the new levels so we'll see what they do with it. personally i like stuff being half empty because it gives you that down time / breathing room which also makes the random mutant or stalker encounter that much more terrifying. however i totally understand if people want moree a-life in there maps and not just walking simulator lol
@@CheekiBreekiTv Firstly, very humbled you’d reply to my comment lol. Love your content. Keep it up! Secondly, at least in GAMMA, I noticed the areas get more populated with Stalkers as more in-game time passed. Mutants didn’t seem to be as present as they are in other zones, but I just took it as it feeling that way because of the new areas being larger relatively speaking. If you only tried New Levels when they were first released, I’d say to try it with the .53 fix as it what my experience is based on. Also, if you ever want a snowy experience, I’d recommend Project Inverno.
Have to disagree with Gamma being "easy to install". I followed the guides correctly and it still didn't end up getting installed properly. Hell, the latest version for some reason was missing more than half the mods it required and it still didn't work. So I rather stick with modding Anomaly however you please, its way easier and simpler than installing a giant modpack that has many issues with installment
Yeah, funny enough, my joke response about the Gamma section was going to be: “Counterpoint, I have go to their discord to install, not gonna do it.” Not saying Gamma’s a bad compilation of mods, I’ve been so used to adding mods through Mod db that I can’t be bothered to go through a discord channel for an installation I might not like and it’ll be a hassle to remove more than to add.
@@TheDarkkilla12 personally I agree however you gotta realize we're a minority in that regard. most people get confused/overwhelmed by basic modding for a lot of games as is (when more often then not it's just use something like MO2 or nexus or some other mod manager, if you're doing it manually same shit just harder to remove) but like your average person will get overwhelmed very easily by trying to figure that shit out, let alone when they want to have a 300+ modlist. And then also the time, custom patches, balancing, etc again i don't think it's hard at all. but it can 100% be time consuming depending on what your trying to do. So if your just wanting to play some super modded anomaly gamma would make sense to be a go to. if you know what your doing, and or just like me when your like "i like some of this, but hate most of it" and or just.. wanting to actually know wtf the mods do and how they work (i got a 376 modlist at the moment, i know what every mod does, how it interacts with other mods, etc. Makes it fairly easy to update mods or add new ones most of the time. If i download gamma i'm not going to know what version's of mods are what, i won't know what grok edited, half the mods are just patches or merge files they made for gamma and you only want to use if your not using other shit, like fuck that lol) but again, the point is realistically for the average person Gamma is much easier to setup, faster and just the popular thing to use.
Have to disagree with your disagreement. Installing Gamma is VERY easy considering you end up with hundreds of mods, fully prioritised. If you compare it to choosing a few mods by hand, you're comparing apples to oranges. And I've installed it 5 or 6 times, maybe 2 failed the first time, both were amended by clicking one or two buttons. Not saying that the result is for everybody (Grok's vision is pretty specific) but it's not difficult considering what you get.
You literally download the launcher and hit go, and it's installed 450 mods that work perfectly fine with each other, GAMMA is insanely easy to install, and then you can factor in how hard of a feat is it for it to even exist, so I disagree with you, my reasoning being: skill issue
0:55 are you sure? 95% of the gameplay in gamma is you polishing a gun and running around for a tool kit instead of the Wish Granter i would take any story mod or the soup anytime over Gun Smith simulator
Because nothing is real about it, everything is taken to a limit where has nothing with reality, there is noting survival about it. The originals nail it, batter iven tho more simple up least the artefacts make sense. There is no balance in Anomaly or gamma. You telling me after shoting 2 clips with a AK, witch is a irl weapon with the lowest mentenance, in stalker i gotta compleatly change the barrel when i could just brush it and move on ....yea lots o rality. And thats just an example😂😂😂 internet and mods of anomaly got you fulled, but enjoy.
As a whole, GAMMA is garbage and overhyped. Surely, you can probably customize it to your likings, but as a pack, it's a big no no for me. There is too much crap I don't like and some good stuff is still missing: 1. Cringe voice lines ("zmiana magazina", English speaking characters etc.) - ruins immersion, it ain't CoD. And why would your character tell you that if there is no friendlies around? 2. Inventory is just ugly when compared to vanilla Anomaly. 3. Some of the items' icons are ugly too. 4. Body health system needs to go. 5. So much emphasis on realism and no magazines? Reloading after every shot is cringe. 6. Some stuff that claims to improve atmosphere, basically decrease it. Psy storms are worse, controllers are worse and some more I cannot recall right now. 7. Night vision is way too bright, even on the lowest setting. It also doesn't remember your preferred one when you change level etc. 8. Dynamic mutants and nocturnal mutants are not there - some of the best addons in existence. 9. Some tracks of Wojach don't belong to Stalker (like Quiet days on earth). 10. And this is a big one for me - no support for Linux. Vanilla Anomaly just works out of the box. 11. Some GAMMA related stuff is locked behind Discord. I despise everything that is not "googlable". There is probably more, but I don't want to write an essay at this stage.
Strange take. Numbers 1 - 9 are incredibly easy to change (untick a few boxes on a list, or change a few things in a mod menus, done). It does in fact work on Linux. Discord has a search feature, so it kind of is googlable. So basically you're frustrated by the need to do a minor amount of work to have a better experience. Maybe modding is not for you?
@@hambo6713 The point of my rant is to express the out of the box experience. If you have to go through 300 mods one by one to decide what things you like and what you do not is not for everyone. And not everything is so easy to change as you say. There is a conflict with dynamic or nocturnal mutants and one of the sound mods, so the save won't load. Also, if you add magazines (which is an outdated addon iirc), you won't be getting them for the new guns. And that's just two issues I am aware of. Besides, is it still GAMMA if you remove half of the stuff? As if modding is not for me. Surprise, surprise - GAMMA didn't work on my Linux PC, so I had to do shit manually.
Ha look obviously modding *is* for you, you're on this channel. My point was that if you have a personal vision for a game, you can do it with a little work, that's modding in a nutshell. Sometimes, it's more than a little work, which grok etc have done for us. When you install a modpack you're accepting somebody's else's vision to save yourself that work. So it might not be your cup of tea out of the box, but it's not so broken or poorly executed that you could reasonably say it's 'garbage'. I've tweaked my Gamma install quite a lot to suit me and it took a little work but I think that's the fair price of personalisation.
@@hambo6713 man you are a saint, this guy came out with the worst take I've ever seen and you just calmly explained to him how to fix his small issue, that for him makes this FREE game that has thousands of hours of work on it and has been celebrated for the marvel of modding it is, "garbage and overhyped", my man came out attacking GAMMA for not being on Linux, that's enough to disregard him as a human being lmao

Just up the incidence of artefacts a bit and you can build the top tier artefacts without too much trouble.
If you dislike how Gamma handles artefacts, you can simply disable everything artefact related in the MO2 list. I did so, and replaced it with Artefact Renovation (reinvention?) instead.
Thanks for telling me, I'll try it when I play gamma again
8:25 I'm getting Pennywise dance flashbacks with the running animation on the left
I remember using Dawn's Tweaks for one particular mod- that let you talk with everyone, not just unique NPCs or squad leaders.
Used that one for Call of Misery, Road to the North and later Anomaly.
man youre doing gods work in the stalker community! love it
I really prefer Best artefact mod to perk based artefacts as it gives the artefacts a more vanilla SOC/COP feel
I don't play gamma, because:
94% of the mods i don't care about and I don't need,
5% i want and care about
1% i straight up don't want, and going through 400 mods one by one to find out disabling which one will fix my issue is a pain.
You sir are the biggest chad in the STLAKER Community, Thank you for all the information
I love your Videos.
Your love for this game always rekindles my passion for stalkers.
Yes, best advice is just play GAMMA, then maybe add a couple of extra mods on top.
Love watching your video! I appreciate every effort you put in the video😊😊
10:15 "Stahple or Stayple" Its the second one :) Love your vids
He's not wrong at all about just playing GAMMA. EFP is pretty cool too.
Start with Anomaly and i known what i NEED
im more efp type of person but i respect the love for gamma
Got a few mods for my older 1.51 version and it even started and ran after :) Thanks
Gamma? nah, imma do my own thing.
Cheeki Breeeki is a cool dude.
2:13 "the simpliticity of anomaly" :0 im scared now
I actually love the goofy old animations
Great video! Maybe it would be interesting to have a video on which Gamma mods that are disabled by default you would recommend? I just play "vanilla" Gamma but I always wonder if any of those optional mods are worth enabling
Hi there, cool video, can you tell me what is the backpack faction skin mod that you are using here 9:12? Thanks in advance.
@@ubilambda i dont play gamma or efp, beacuse my computer go boom
I just mod gamma the way I like and disable mods I don't like, got it working great. My usual go to
I know it's only been 8 days, but man do I miss your vids. Will you do another playthrough series?
Bit late but this is a perfect comparison between how Anomaly is to GAMMA
The. Best in modding anomaly when it is just wont start but it generates no error😂
Have you thought of making a “Cheeki Breeki Basic QOL” mod pack available to download that’s ready to use?
Hi Cheeki,
Are there any add-ons that you would recommend to install on top of GAMMA to improve it?
I'd like to know this as well!
the game looks better withput atmospherics, much more natural.
I tried hippo atmos on EFP 4.0, and there was amazing, but not looks so good with lastest efp version
Joke's on you, I'm already playing Gamma and I'm just looking for more mods to add because I always need more
I love GAMMA, but I've played so much EFT I just can't get used to the med system so I go back to my custom modded Anomaly with the EFT med system in it.
I should see if i can swap it into GAMMA but might be above my skill.
(I love the Aggressor Reshade and his grass)
i really wish i knew how you combined DAO and Arrival. Arrival mod page says you have to remove DAO completely.
how you install the mods that cant be downloaded with modloader, like cinematic vfx?
what mod pack do you recommend for a semi casual but still immersive experience? gamma, efp, nomad?
Thanks for this video!
Is thear any series coming?!
Hello Cheeki Breeki, do you know the fallen god mod ? Its looks like a good story mode.
still like base anomaly more then gamma. Grok is still a legend though
Exelente video!!
are all of these compatible with eachother?
Are these mods already included in GAMMA?
thanks
My 3D PDA shows only black screen. Has anyone experienced the same issue as me?
do they work in gamma tho
You gotta be more precise as 90% of these mods are already in gamma
Most of the mods shown here are in Gamma, so yes they work
Hey if it still crashes less often than GAMMA and runs at a higher framerate I should go back to it.
never found someone with a problem with gamma? now you found someone, the game literally stay in the loading screen and doesn't load, when i tried EFP it worked but wasn't that optimized, so i want to mod it myself because if i try to find the mod that is causing the infinite loading i would waste 1 year of my life just to find that mod, because gamma has a lot of mods.
I've played GAMMA a lot but the stutters never went away and I've tried every single fix I could find on youtube, reddit, modDB. I might just play vanilla with these mods, might run better.
You probably tried these, but have you tried disabling Core 0 and decreasing grass size and density? Also, cap FPS to 60-80?
@@atlasfontaine yep, I sure have tried it :(
The best place for fixes is the discord, hopefully you've tried that.
I played Gamma for years and then tried EFP, 80% of Gamma in it, you freely can (ofc ALMOST freely) adjust mod list, add/remove mods to your liking. AND EFP got like 160fps~ form e instead of Gammas 50-75avg fps~ soo yeah.
Crazy how tastes differ. th-cam.com/video/t8rJSvaaYjg/w-d-xo.html The before looks so much more natural. That blue tint looks like the stuff from the Xbox 360 era to make games look "gritty".
alpha youtuber
Can anybody talk about the mod where you can compare a weapon’s full condition details? I have been looking for that everywhere. Does anyone know if it is even a mod?
thx 4 the info man😊😊
but Gama is sooooo god damn hard and I have it on "Easy" ? ... I can't see any options in the mods to make it any easier than it already is?
Does G.A.M.M.A run on DX9? Thats the only way I can stably run Anomaly!
IDK. GAMMA always bound a lot of installation/mod manager time for me.
Btw I'm happy to meet the ~5th frenchman on the internet (yeah I'm already on the internet since the 90s, that's why I witnessed this many french persons).
Still waiting for the other 5 who speak english.
Unfortunately Arrival messes with anomalies sounds a lot, and it's not tweakable
w
Why would i want to fix gun barrels. You dont change gun barrels
#1 quick uninstall mod
I totaly agee with what you say about gamma ... ButI never managed to install it.
My only complaint about gamma is that its 100 gb and anomaly is 8 so
0:53 bro i don't play gamma because my pc die but i play with my modpack that i made.
0:46 haha :D NO
Ok dont go apeshit on me this is my opinion but i will say the rason GAMMA is worse to start with than EFP because of the fact that you are not allowed to buy guns wich in my opinion adds a full layer of difficulty in the game that new players just arent ready for
i honestly think that is making the zone atmosphere so much better (and harder, but reasonably). the thing that makes gamma bad is that it's loaded with tons of unnecessary addons and mechanics and there's just too much of them to have a good game. i know gamma is modular but I don't want to spend 3 hours just sitting there and disabling them, too boring. better to mod your anomaly by yourself, it's not that boring at least
big agree, any video that talks positively about gamma always has some people at the bottom of the comments talking about how it's too tedious, when that is the point, it's a hardcore modpack of a supposedly hard game, or at least the atmosphere of the game is one of survival and hardship, you are not supposed to pick it up with 0 prior experience and go shoot at the baddies with a modern AR in your first hour
It having 450 mods in there, with a lot of those being small tweaks or fixes is also kind of the point of it, you can mod your game but you can't get to gamma levels of granular modding to where absolutely every detail is curated and worked on, I appreciate that part of it
I hate GAMMA's recoil system and for a modpack that has ''modular'' in it I for the life of me cannot find the file ı need to change to just make it like vanilla Anomaly
Gamma is cool but i dont need that many mods and 100 gigs is a lot for my pc
Not that I dont wanna play GAMMA but my i5 mx940 laptop cannot handle such game 😞
Gamma is to hard, to graphically intense and my internet is so dog crap that 80gb would take like a week with chrome downloads so I just gave up after waiting a day and having it reset twice I need anomaly qol and customisation with the gameplay settings
but GAMMA IS TO HEAVY TO MY PC BRO
sorry but i just leave gamma yeas it has plenty great thinks but why i dont play gamma anymore is it doesnt allow you progress there is normal shop where buy guns, armor, not even grenades.but most worst think not very great loot only trash and i will not talk about that repair system because that is chapter itself.
If someone would do 1 link all mod please (just without dark souls like mod :P)
Looks like modders of anomalies don't understand that most of those are traps, and they make them too easy to spot. This is why the vanilla versions are still the best. Less is sometimes more.
i dont like gamma's economy, parts mods etc etc
Highly recommend the add-on “New Levels”. It adds a few new areas and quests! It works in vanilla Anomaly and works in GAMMA.
Western Goods is also another one I’d suggest.
I tired the new levels just after release and they were pretty empty, did they improve since? I need to give them another chance if that's the case!
Also, if you ever want a snowy experience, I’d recommend Project Inverno.
shilling gamma the blandest thing out there is peak western stalker
> I want a heavily modded anomaly
> GAMMA is bad (I have skill issues)

Have to disagree with Gamma being "easy to install". I followed the guides correctly and it still didn't end up getting installed properly. Hell, the latest version for some reason was missing more than half the mods it required and it still didn't work. So I rather stick with modding Anomaly however you please, its way easier and simpler than installing a giant modpack that has many issues with installment
Yeah, funny enough, my joke response about the Gamma section was going to be:
“Counterpoint, I have go to their discord to install, not gonna do it.”
Not saying Gamma’s a bad compilation of mods, I’ve been so used to adding mods through Mod db that I can’t be bothered to go through a discord channel for an installation I might not like and it’ll be a hassle to remove more than to add.
F
@@TheDarkkilla12 personally I agree however you gotta realize we're a minority in that regard.
most people get confused/overwhelmed by basic modding for a lot of games as is (when more often then not it's just use something like MO2 or nexus or some other mod manager, if you're doing it manually same shit just harder to remove)
but like your average person will get overwhelmed very easily by trying to figure that shit out, let alone when they want to have a 300+ modlist.
And then also the time, custom patches, balancing, etc
again i don't think it's hard at all. but it can 100% be time consuming depending on what your trying to do.
If i download gamma i'm not going to know what version's of mods are what, i won't know what grok edited, half the mods are just patches or merge files they made for gamma and you only want to use if your not using other shit, like fuck that lol)
but again, the point is realistically for the average person Gamma is much easier to setup, faster and just the popular thing to use.
You literally download the launcher and hit go, and it's installed 450 mods that work perfectly fine with each other, GAMMA is insanely easy to install, and then you can factor in how hard of a feat is it for it to even exist, so I disagree with you, my reasoning being: skill issue
never liked gamma, EFP is the best
Dead project though, wont ever be updated again
damn im early
Still better than me
0:55 are you sure?
95% of the gameplay in gamma is you polishing a gun and running around for a tool kit instead of the Wish Granter
i would take any story mod or the soup anytime over Gun Smith simulator
> I want a heavily modded anomaly
> GAMMA is bad (I have skill issues)
Choose one
Because nothing is real about it, everything is taken to a limit where has nothing with reality, there is noting survival about it. The originals nail it, batter iven tho more simple up least the artefacts make sense. There is no balance in Anomaly or gamma. You telling me after shoting 2 clips with a AK, witch is a irl weapon with the lowest mentenance, in stalker i gotta compleatly change the barrel when i could just brush it and move on ....yea lots o rality. And thats just an example😂😂😂 internet and mods of anomaly got you fulled, but enjoy.
gamma is very bad performance wise
As a whole, GAMMA is garbage and overhyped. Surely, you can probably customize it to your likings, but as a pack, it's a big no no for me. There is too much crap I don't like and some good stuff is still missing:
@@hambo6713
The point of my rant is to express the out of the box experience.
