I had a lot of fun filming this, especially today because they had such good common and uncommon house plants up for sale at AFFORDABLE prices! Of course, sometimes for affordability you are sacrificing quality of product, but if you can nurse it back to health, who the heck cares!

Hey Ashley! That peperomia that looks like a string of turtles is called a peperomia pepperspot. I just bought one because I've been wanting a string of turtles and couldn't find them anywhere near me, but I love peperomias so it was perfect!

So glad to see your feeling better. That fuzzy plant is codonanthe devosiana, it is a gesneriad in the african violet family & grows white flowers. 🤗
Omg ur Home Depot’s are so good all mine have ever are golden Pothos, overpriced dying monsteras, succulents and the occasional snake plant
Christmas cactus, Easter cactus, and Thankagiving cactus can all bloom any time, because our exact seasons and lighting etc are all different. The shapes of the leaves are different, if you look it up you'll find little charts of the differences in leaves.
Who else when they saw the giant leaves at timestamp at 26:55 was going ooo-ooo-ooo and ahhhhhhh!?
If you can find out what day they're plants come in and come as soon as they start unboxing them you'll see quite a few plants that you don't normally see these plants go quick within like a day or two. I've even seen plants at big box stores come in and been sold out within a matter of hours the less common they are the quicker that they will sell

About the '' varigated Jade '' at 7:45 , I think it's just because the plant has been stressed. If you look up on google stressed succulent you'll see that many of them burst some colors when they are in specific conditions

The red on the jade is from stress! I actually didn’t figure this out for a long time. When succulents have higher light and lower water they show their colors (for that jade variety it turns a bit red)

Fun to see what they have in stock! Sometimes some of the best plants are hiding in places like this! A tip: the Croton 'florida beauty' is actually a Dracaena florida beauty. Also, the round waxy hanging Peperomia goes by Peperomia pepperspot, if you haven't found the name yet.

The nearest big box store is a 100 mile drive for me and when I went all they had was one tiny shelf of cactus. Living in such a remote area has its perks but it also has its cons.

So I’m not sure if this is a normal thing but I noticed on a few Home Depot and Lowe’s plants I got that there were leaves just shoved into the soil (it happened with 2 crotons that I can specifically remember) they’ll just die after a while and fall out. Don’t know it it’s to propagate but I have a feeling it’s just to make them look fuller. That’s what it looked like was happening with that Peperomia you picked up (around 15 min in)
Same happened to me with a pothos I bought at Lowe’s! Wasn’t until all the stems were dried up and falling out that I realized they didn’t even have roots. They had literally been snipped off and stuck in the soil. I check very carefully now before I buy- you just can’t beat big box prices
I’ve had that happen to me too! I’ve started giving the stems a little tug to see if they’re actually rooted.

There are some succulents like the jade plant that are green but in contact with bright direct light they get red. I like to think of it like a plant tan.
Bonide products, if the swoosh is tan it’s organic. If it’s purple it’s synthetic

I found a fiddle leaf fig that small size with 2 trees for $10 at a flea market 🥰
Found a rare ( I guess) Crassula Steryi at Lowes in the CLEARANCE section, did not know what it was, my sister picked it up and I said ok, not real impressed until I got it home and really looked at the thick dotted leaves, beautiful !!! Always check the CLEARANCE section too, this rare one had 2 plants in a tiny greenhouse pot, and one leaf on each plant had a bit of damage, (not bacteria just travel damage nothing more, thanks to learning bacteria from your video) but it was a great find and agree Big Box Stores can be amazing for finding deals and expanding your collection !!! Thanks for another fun video !!!

I love orchids I have around 100 of them
OMG! I have phal orchids and they say to drop the temperature to get them to bloom. Mine was in 80 degrees during the day and 50 at night for about maybe 3 weeks and nothing. Now it's probably getting close to freezing at night so I don't dare put them on the back porch but I just wondered why mine don't bloom, get enough sun and are healthy otherwise.
@@icemancometh8679 put it in a window cell, it might not bloom every year. I have one that only blooms every 5 years

Every plant I bought like 10 of them at home Home Depot and they all have some kind of fungus on their leaves a relief that comes out has some kind of a fungus so I’m really depressed about Home Depot’s plants

I pronounced it the way you do, c nuh, maybe it has to do with how you learn the name of the plant or where your from, like pothos, people say poe-thos to me is pah-thos.
