Thanks for the helpful video, I have a small question regarding the bearing setting: when you set the scope of the bearing, Why you select a circle face in XY plane rather than a cylindrical surface in Z direction (axial direction I mean), and how many degree of freedom can a bearing constrained? Thank again!
If you select the cylindrical face along the Z direction then the bearing will be applied throughout that face and the shaft will not vibrate much as the constrained surface area will increase. Therefore we need to apply bearing at the central circular face of the bearing. Only rotation along the Z-axis will be free.
Thank you for the well explained video. I am facing a small issue - If I turn Coriolis effect ON in the Analysis setting of Harmonic response, I am unable to change the solution method and it is greyed out to Mode superposition. How can this be corrected?
When I apply the load rotating force I get an error: When rotor spin is input through the CMOMEGA command, the element axis must be along the spin axis of the element component. How can the problem be solved?
I think it's because of the wrong Point mass selection in the 'Remote point for Hit Point' tab. You have to select the same Point mass remote point on which the Rotating Force is applied.

With this method, ansys gives me following error:
selected remote point location is different from hit point location.
Do you know the solution?
I think it's because of the wrong Point mass selection in the 'Remote point for Hit Point' tab. You have to select the same Point mass remote point on which the Rotating Force is applied.
Try selecting the different Point mass remote point and let me know if it works😀😀
