Indonesia and Malaysia language are somewhat the same. It's how they use the that's different. Indonesian people say a lot of "Aku" than "Saya" But I'm not too sure, I don't speak Indonesian, I just get from what my mom's friends always saying. They say a lot of Aku and they are Indonesian.
@@mishiraK I know I'm really really late ;-; but let me explain a bit. "Aku" and "Saya" has the same meaning with "I/I'm/me" but "Saya" is more of a formal way to say "I'm/I/me. We have 3 level formality for the word "I/I'm/me". "Gw/gue" if you ever heard this word somewhere, it means the same with "Aku" or "Saya" but more of a kids nowdays way to say it.

it's basically because indonesian tounge more adept to learn any languages. we have long history trading with another country and 'cause that indonesian is consist and made and adsorbed another language, such as sanskrit, arabic, chinese, netherland, portuguese, etc.
or it's just our genetic, i don't know.
