Bought my 1999 800 vitesse project in 2021 and still going strong, lovely car to daily drive at 109k on the clock. the T series engine is bulletproof and has never missed a beat, every repair ive done on it was easy compared to some other cars, also has an excellent community for support :)

That was a lovely tour of his yard and all of the projects. Only car ever bought new was a Rover Streetwise 2 litre diesel in a lovely blue colour with alloys too. I hope he can get the 800 running soon as it is a lovely car. My uncle used to have a gold mark 1 in his day.

It can be restored,I broke down due to a crankshaft pulley,I will buy another one in Jan,I am shocked at how fuel efficient my Rover 75 V8 is man she drinks very less petrol and the power is wow

Rover should have offered the stteetwise with all wheel drive, obviously only for when needed as in electronic , maybe it had been a model option they would have sold better, in the early 90s i bought a 2 years old J reg Cavalier Gsi 2000 4x4 which was also electronic and not permanent, in all the 15 + years of been a Rover employee i never bought 1, saying that i did want a 220Turbo and couldn't find 1 in Yorkshire brand new, i could a 6 months old demonstrator and the Garage couldn't understand why i didn't want it, as i kept telling the stupid man that car costs me more, my employee staff discount is on brand new cars not second hand thats been registered.
