Coutinho has a problem with his heel which makes a small bit of the bone stick out further than it normally does. This makes it v uncomfortable for his foot in sealed boots so he cuts a hole to allow the bone to not pain him.

I did the hot water trick with my Hypervenom Phantom 2 (old upper), It became soft and it gives you more feel for the ball. I have no durability issues because the phantom 2 is designed to be durable than the phantom 1.

I paid £50 quid for them
The companies that make them spend a massive amount of money developing them for a reason and they are good at what they do. It's the equivalent of putting a spoiler on a hatchback.

well if you mean a hot hatchback, a spoiler can be really beneficial, as it helps stabilise the rear of the car since the tires are much smaller in the rear than in the front on front wheel drive cars, so the rear end can be really slippery.

the reason to that guy cutting his vapor 11’s back is probably cuz of a disease that makes your heel bone stick out on the upper back part, where its supposed to be smooth, it becomes spiky.and this thing causes a spot in the upper back heel part to be very sensitive. he probably had that and cut it out because it was making him very uncomfortable, and if not, dafuq?

I've got the 17's. Had a hard time getting my foot in the boot so I went up a size and I now wear two pairs of football socks. Still struggle to get my foot in a size up too.

With coutinho’s hack it’s because he has a slightly bigger heel bone so as the boots are really fitted like you said cutting out the square helps relieve the pressure from his heel ;)

the hot water trick is something i have done to every pair of football boots i have owned, but stepped inside them when they were wet, to make fit like a glove. My dad taught me the trick when i was 7 years old... thats 11 years ago

You need to acknowledge the fact that different people have different feet. It's not just about the size. In the case of mine they are narrow but the inside of my feet(the area you pass the ball with) juts out a little bit so it feels tight there.

i did this to my boots when i had a bad blister and it wouldn't heal. It made a huge difference and my blister healed in a week
I wear the Adidas nemesis 17.1 and I took the laces out I have a much cleaner strike in the ball the touch is better it’s more comfortable and no lockdown has been lost

I did the 3rd trick with the collar and it actually helped last time i was playing a game and then someone stepped on my shoe which made it fall off and it took me like 39283727 minutes to put it back on but i tried the trick next game i was putting on mt boot and it was soo easy to put on it was muchh more comfortable thanks for the hack! 😁😁😁

You have to realize that they have different feet than you and they feel and have different opinions
For the collor you guys can just cut half and leave it mid cut it for comfortable and also a tip if you have a sewing machine you can sew the access and make it a mid cut boot like fly ultra

Hot water trick has been around for decades. For best fit, wear your football socks, and boots in the shower. Water temp is fine, and boots mould to your actual game size foot (as you are standing, they flex with the natural increase in size of your foot). If you have a kangaroo leather boot, this works really well, with half a size smaller than normal.
For blister prevention, when wearing new boots, on your bare foot/ankle, place 2 layers of sticky strapping tape, where you feel the boots may rub/you are prone to blisters. Band aids dont deal well with the sweat, and can come off, two pairs of socks create a larger foot size and may not be comfortable, and I find lubricants like Vaseline, do absolutely nothing.
If you already have blisters, 1st layer is the strapping tape that has a band aid like strip in it, and then a layer of strapping tape.

When you take the laces out you're supposed to get 2 sizes down so they are tight around the toe. Seen people do this for years from 5 to 11 a side.
