I have season glass seats in the American Hockey League. I had to agree to a code of conduct when I got the tickets. If I behave in such a manner or I transfer the tickets to a friend who behaves in such a way I lose my season tickets and I don't get reimbursed. They take it seriously, I saw a fan get kicked out for similar behaivior never to return because a fan behind him recorded him on his phone and the organization resold his seat.
I went to my first and last WNBA game years ago when my daughter was 10 or so. The filthy, sexually-oriented cat calling and suggestive shouts coming from the sapphic section of the sparse crowd could be heard all over the arena. I thought about complaining, but instead just resolved to never come back. My daughter was embarrassed, and never asked to go to another game. And mind you, I'm a renowned sh*t-talker with what I've always considered a massive vocabulary of curses, insults, and invective. But I learned a few new ones that day.
Let's say it like it is. There is a tremendous amount of resentment from the current players, it started from college and continued while the season happened. You can talk about race, sexuality, or just exposure. The irony is that she brought eyes and what we saw what a league that was not ready for primetime and embarrassed itself from players to coaches to owners to league executives. Her fans came to her defense which pissed people off. I will not defend anyone that went race baiting but saying she was targeted because of race is completely legitimate. At the end of the day, she's a 22 year old young lady.
Agree very much. As an older man, I cannot decide which one I believe. 1) I was younger, more naive, and this stuff happened with the same frequency as now but I was shielded because of only 4 networks OR 2) Society has deteriorated and more people are willing to be publicly vile as a percentage.
A note about Fever fans from someone who is not from Indiana and had the privilege of watching the Fever play in Indiana. I observed ZERO racial or negative behaviors from the massive amour of fans in their wonderful stadium. It was packed from top to bottom when they played and lost, I might add against Aja Wilson on Friday's game a couple of weeks ago. So what you see in real life versus the internet is vastly different. If you don't allow yourself to fall into the negativity, there won't be any.

Most of which do not age well; get rid of Boston, Boston and CC are incredible together; Kelsey Mitchell is horrible for the team, give her whatever she wants; Sides should be fired immediately, Sides is ok, Sides is throwing games! I wonder what he will do now that the Fever season is over and CC seems to be going into hiding from the public view. Or maybe it will give him time to actually start organizing and editing his videos, though without all the repetition they will only be about 1/3 as long.
Whin8ng would have not bothered her. Remember the game when a group of drunk guys were chanting loudly overrated over and over? She just smiled as she shot over forty points and pointed to them.
Here is what you are missing, Mick: People have been condemning Caitlin Clark fans, without exception, as racists, etc. By constantly doing this, they are continually associating CC with that kind of behavior. It gives permission to treat CC like she is a despicable person herself. Yes, I blame the a-----e, and I blame security for not kicking the guy out, but I also blame those who keep mentioning CC in the same breath as people who are deplorable. She can't be held responsible for people who attack others or promote some despicable agenda, but there are those who are trying to pin this on her. They are setting her up for being mistreated and even attacked.
Ok. I don't expect the Connecticut Sun to take responsibility for the actions of 1 fan. Furthermore, that Sun fan who made those comments is not a representation of the entire Sun fanbase. However, the Players in the WNBA are telling us that they don't want nor like Caitlin Clark, and that all the fans of the Indiana Fever & Caitlin Clark are horrible people. They can't make the distinction of separating the few from the whole, and its that hypocritical behavior that people with common sense can't stand.

Caitlin Clark came to the league with a giant spotlight, and here’s what was revealed: The WNBA is a near three-decade long clown show. In nearly three decades … they haven’t found competent refs. The Fever ownership hasn’t found a competent GM/coach. The WNBA hasn’t found a competent commissioner. The WNBA DOES have some truly talented players … some. If the WNBA was this best of the best league, that D. Taurasi seemed to think it was, when she dismissed Clark’s upcoming performance … why did Clark break/set so many records, in her rookie year? Well, next year … I’ll find out who the WNBA defending champions are, when Clark and Co. return to the court.
I agree if he is just a fan. But if he has credentials as a Sun media member. Then the Sun organization should investigate and if it turns out it was true, immediately fire him and ban him from even attending all future games as a fan.
Gourmet gotta love the way the Suns, Thomas, immediately jumped on the victim/racism train. They are all scared of what CC is doing and is going to do in the future of the WNBA. CC is crushing records and making players like Thomas forgettable. Instead of jumping on the positivity train, Thomas and the Sun prefer to play the victim card. If Caitlin Clark walked away from the WNBA, the whole thing would crash, and they would fall back into obscurity. The viewership numbers are really going to tell the story now that the Fever are out of the playoffs.
@@rossifumifan1 It's ironic how the majority of the CC cult fans jump on bandwagon places CC on a victim/racism train constantly, but it's an issue when Alyssa talks about it. Alyssa did not lie. You know what might be happening is the other teams players are getting a bunch of new haters, without getting a bunch of new fans. If they suddenly got 1M people telling them they are amazing and a 100 new people hurling abuse they would probably be like "no big deal" - the problem for them is the growth is so lopsided!
The Suns players complained they were being called the "N" word during press conference. So lets share the wealth. Just too much hate and disrespect going on in the stands. CC was not the only one catching it.
The Sun players should have called them out at that moment and banned them from watching live. No need to to asked CC or the Fever team to control their toxic fans. All fanbase have toxic and loud stans.
I doubt that. Those presses have your own reporters. If true, the team could have immediately walked. Or commented on it right then. The Fever banned a reporter for inappropriate comments during an interview. Did that happen with the Sun?
If you watch the full minute clip of the altercation when Caitlin starts walking back towards the refs you can slightly hear her say he called me a c*** but you can clearly lip read it and match it with the audio.
CC always takes the high road in spite of fan and player abuse along with zero support from WNBA leadership(?) and related personnel, i.e., refs and security.

Too bad I can't put much credence in their words after all the BS they've allowed this season.
At the Suns last playoff home game against the Fevers, a Sun’s fan sitting court side was removed by the referees and security for his inappropriate comments directed at CC. I don’t remember Thomas condemning that Sun Fan’s mean spirited and hateful remarks in her hypocritical statement with the press. A better use of Thomas’ time would have been for her to apologize to CC for her teammate intentionally gouging CC in the eye or when she (Thomas) lowered her shoulder after setting a screen to inflect harm to CC News flash Thomas - CC is not responsible for world hunger nor the war in Ukraine. Thomas - grow up!
While some people enjoy this pathetic situation and supporting assults of female basketball players, don`t forget, Fever and Clark are not on the show anymore for several months. Majority of Fever supporters will be gone for that peroid too. The revenues will go down in no time. It `s going to be very cold at playoffs now and they will see how that affects their paychecks.
It's already happening. Viewership for the games right after the Fever were eliminated plummeted, and you can bet that the ratings losses will continue.
Sun has become the team in WNBA i want to see fail the most now. Trashy players who play dirty (or they call it "physical") with racial intent (see Dijonai's social comments).
I live about 15 minutes away from Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, where the Sun play. Everyone I know in this area is really into Caitlyn Clark and what a talented player she is. Security should have done a much better job, I wonder if the games being played in a casino environment in a Tribal Nation that primarily polices itself was a factor.
The refs were bad. The fouls were bad. I didn’t care about the lost. I just wanted CC to have a good game and she did. When all is said and done it was Kelcie Mitchell that lost the game for us. I think she was playing for her father and not the team. She didn’t come thru when we needed her to. But I can’t get mad at her. I just wanted CC to have a good game. And she didn’t disappoint me. She had a great game. I can now gentle off into that good night
I guarantee you Caitlin Clark's DMS are worse than any other player in the league. She is the only mature Superstar there is though. She will never release it, and I guarantee as well. There is more racism in her DMs than these fake whiners who can never produce receipts
Why are there hardly ever any receipts for the claim that CC fans are SO SO SO SO bad? And there have been quite a few receipts of the CC haters being the worst?
I think the "fans" of Clarks that are so bad are the trolls that maybe do not even go to games but have used her to get under the skin of women in the WNBA. They say she is going to do this and that and be normal unlike the rest of the league. I haven't really followed WNBA much but I thought it rich myself when former NBA players were trying to get the hoops lowered so that the women could dunk. For me the argument should have been that the NBA hoop should be raised so that not everyone can dunk. Yes I can thank Clark for the fact that I enjoyed WNBA basketball this year. A'j is fun to watch. Mitchell makes the whole WNBA look slow. Clark seems to be more deadly with passes than shots. I was convience Boston was a one year wonder after the first 5 games and now I understand why she got rookie of the year last year. And I am enjoying following the box score of the MN Lynx because they play a player from by alama mater. But I have a friend who can not talk about Clark with a smile and he lives within an hour of Iowa City and the issue that he usually brings up is that she will kick her feet out trying to get fouled during her 3 point shots. Though I have sean just enough games to agree there is merit to his beef - I do think she should have gotten free throws in her last game. I just saw the replay and if the game was anything like the Sunday game which I did see there seemed to be alot of no calls that went against the Fever. In my mind it is great that she wants to come back and play again in the WNBA - but I can see why her opponents might become to dislike her on the court. But I have never found fault with her when she is off the court. In my mind they should hire Mick to oversee all the changes that need to be made in the WNBA - he seems to understand the problems and proposes some reasonable policies to address them.

Like you said the look on NaLyssa Smith's face confirms it for me and the fact he was credentialed is what bothers me. I think whoever he is credentialed for has to take action.
And how in the he'll is this person credentialed and acting like a pig. He is lucky I wasn't thr POS!!!

Yeah the Olympic break was bad enough.
@@masonpalazzolo2387 you can't be serious. Lol it's never that serious to go through withdrawal because of an athlete. How pathetic.
Also the refs, though your list was fine.

That guy should be barred from going to any Fever games, period!
Gourmet gotta love the way the Suns, Thomas, immediately jumped on the victim/racism train. They are all scared of what CC is doing and is going to do in the future of the WNBA.
There’s actually zero receipts

WNBA players and journalists need to stop asking Clark to condemn the racists. She has already done so, they don't think it's, "good enough." However, my personal opinion is that the only "good enough" response would be for Clark to say she is no longer playing in the WNBA, because at the moment, that is what they think will "fix" the league. As Mick already explained, it won't, because the trolls will just attach themselves to Bueckers or Watkins, or Hidalgo, and it will continue. However, I do agree, Sun players don't need to answer for this fan/media personality-if he is one, but they also have to recognize that this creates a "two-way" street. You can't demand Clark do more then she already has, because people will then demand a better condemnation from the Sun, because it will just feed the narrative the press is hoping for.
