Great how to video. Thank you! I have a 2010 Suburban, and I found that it was easier to access the drivers side strut by going through engine compartment rather than the wheel well.
Thanks for the great how to video. I love there Tahoes. I just order the Detroit Diesel set on Amazon. I hope it comes with new bolts. Everything is easy with the right tools. I wish i had that bent wrench.
Thank you I contemplated this job and your video was the best informative one on ding it. I have the manual to now, got the parts, mostly from your links too. Questions though; 1)vwhy not remove the front wheel liner like you did the rear? Looks easier to access but it there a good reason not to revive the front liners? 2) you didn't mention or show jack supporting the front suspension (manual says to). I think the shock holds the lower a arm from dripping to far. Any reason why you don't supporr out or did it just not seen like it was? 3) in your experience will soaking the upper Strut bolts longer, result in not breaking them? If so how long did you let out set, other times? Again thanks, you really explained well to the point that I'm looking forward to doing the job and I'll save enough Labor to cover aton of air tools ama compressor I upgraded for this and other future tasks.
Nice well explained video..question if you don't mind how much labor cost that is for that job.i got same year tahoe but have my own parts.just wondering mechanic labor cost
Nope. Shocks absorb bumps in the road. It’s the springs job to support the weight of the vehicle. The rear uses shocks, while the front uses struts. Difference is the shock AND spring are built in one. Now if that was shorter, it could cause the front to sit lower.
Thanks for leaving the part in with the broken bolt. It’s nice to see real life work. Good job. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback!
Great how to video.
Thank you!

Thanks!
Thank you for the video. I feel that I will be doing this and saving labor cost.
Very useful and good detailed information

Is there specific struts if it's for left or ride side?

That's an awesome instructional video man! Thank you
I replaced struts and spring on my 09 Yukon and know it’s sitting like 3 in higher than what it was is that normal??
Hey great vid but did the struts do good? Did they absorb the hits? What brand is best for a smoother ride?

As long as you leave the sway bar end link attached, the sway bar and the opposite side control arm will prevent it from dropping too far.
What shock and struts combo do you recommended
Curious do you always Yank on the brake lines like that???

Is there a left and right strut?
Your truck looks like 4wd , correct ? Is 2wd the same type strut assembly ?
how do i know which shocks i need for a z71 suburban?
You make it look so easy. Can I bring my 2011 Tahoe to you?
Certainly! Lol
The new strut looked about 1 1/2 in. Shorter than the old one. Won't that make the rear sag?

Once finished this needs torque???????
22mm socket on the inside of top strut bolt on rear
