This is the one that got me into ghost. One night enjoying a synthwave playlist and this song plays, so I check the name cause damn! It's so good! And I say "That's Ghost‽" So I look up the original and loved it. 2 months later and I'm blasting Year Zero, Prequelle, Ritual etc. Love these guys and their music.

Ritual was the first song I heard. I saw a picture of Ghost, and me naturally being into heavy bands that look freaky, I gave them a shot and they weren't what I expected and I loved it. The fact that every album is an evolution of their sound is a big plus for me too. And then not long after I got into them they released Prequelle and it just hit me, y'know?

This was my introduction to Ghost, and was heard in a heartbreak crisis. It has a special place in my heart even to this day.
This will bring all Goths, Rockers and Club kids to unite on the Dance floor.
But let's admit, even we dance to 80s new wave (i. e. Duran Duran or Soft Cell),especially if it's 3AM :D

@@SkullyBonez13 funny you should say that! I have a 16 yr old son. I was a grungey gothy skater punk metal head chick in the 80's and 90's and his dad was a black metal and progressive metal head. Needless to say my kid has a very eclectic range of taste in music. I took him to his first concerts this year. Breaking Benjamin was his first show, then a week later I took him with me to see Ghost and blew his effing mind! So guess who gets bad ass mom of the year award!

My own parents were extreme opposites (my mother was a "reformed" flower child and my father was a Vietnam vet who did everything from singing in a classic country band to making medieval revival swords), so I grew up with a vast array of musical influences. Saw Carpenter Brut earlier this year in Chicago and it was the best show I've seen in a long time.
The energy, the performance and the visuals were excellent. I highly recommend seeing them if given the chance.

Carpenter Brut covering one of the only good rock bands to come out in the past decade, and one of my personal favorite artists. It's like all my Christmases have come at once.

Shame about the dislikes... no doubt given by the butthurt brigade who are already crying that the original ‘isn’t metal enough’.
Top tip - if it hurts that much, listen to SOUTH OF HEAVEN by SLAYER - one of my favourite albums.
Meantime - the rest of us shall continue to enjoy GHOST and not worry about trying to define it by restricting it to particular genres.

Basically the same here, the original gives another kind of feel, which imo, is better suited for the whole concept of the band.
However, this is perfect to listen along with friends who don’t like the usual Ghost sound.
